The excitement of the athletics season is officially over, however, celebrations are still in full swing as Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume and other extraordinary female Athletes and Para-Athletes who represented Nigeria at 2022 Commonwealth Games and World Athletics Championship enjoyed a grand reception by Guinness Nigeria.

The celebratory gala on Thursday, September 22nd at the new Guinness Headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos had in attendance sport icons, entertainment elites, socialites and sports reporters alike.

Guests relished a true Guinness VIP experience with loads of exciting activities, Event was anchored by Bolanle and DJ anonymous was also in attendance and thrilled guest with scintillating sounds.

The highlight of the event was an incredible toast to the extraordinary talents at 17:59 Guinness time, closely followed by the reward presentation of N2,000,000 to the 100 metres hurdles Guinness world record Tobi Amusan, N1,000,000 to all gold medalists, N750,000 to all silver medalists and N500,000 to all bronze medalists for their astonishing sporting achievements.

Kourtney Kardashian has revealed that she initially rejected Travis Barker’s advances.

The mother-of-three said the drummer tried to tempt her to go on a date with vegan sushi or a trip to the cinema following her break-up from her children’s dad Scott Disick.

Kourtney, 43, said she finally changed her mind after her therapist got involved.

Speaking to Not Skinny But Not Fat’s Apple podcast, Kourtney revealed:

“He would ask me to go for sushi or vegan sushi, of course… he would ask me to go to the movies.

“I could never go. I could never. And [the therapist] was like, ‘Why? You know, he sounds like a good dad.'”

She said she eventually listened to her therapist and took him up on his offer of a movie.

The couple are now married with 6 children between them – 3 from Kourtney and 3 from Travis.

Prior to their relationship, Travis, 46, admitted he was happy with his life and wasn’t particularly looking to marry again having tied the knot twice before.

As well as Shanna, Travis was previously married to Melissa Kennedy.

Khloe Kardashian has slammed Kanye West for dragging her family once again. Kanye West has received heat for the “White Lives Matter” T-shirt he and his models showcased at his fashion show on Monday October 2.

Model Gigi Hadid joined to call him out. Vogue editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson also wrote an opinion piece expressing her reservations about Kanye’s T-shirt and the rapper mocked her on Instagram.

Following the criticisms he received, Kanye took to Instagram to ask where all his critics were when the Kardashians didn’t let him see his kids.

He added that it was only Candace Owens who spoke up at the time. Cardace Owens also replied to Kanye’s post and asked the critics where they were when Pete Davidson tattooed the names of Kanye’s kids on his body.

Khloe Kardashian then stepped into Kanye’s comment section and told him to stop dragging the Kardashians whenever he wants to deflect.

“Stop tearing Kimberly down and using our family when you want to deflect,” Khloe warned Kanye.

She added that he knows exactly where his kids are at all times and he should allow his kids to be raised in peace.

Khloé’s call out comes just days after she and Kylie Jenner supported Kanye at his Balenciaga show in Paris.

Rihanna has admitted she is “nervous” about performing at next year’s Super Bowl halftime show, but is “looking forward” to the experience.

The singer’s starring role in one of the biggest nights of the US sporting calendar was announced by the NFL last month.

Following the announcement, the singer and mother of one shared a photo of her hand holding an American football on Instagram and Twitter.

Asked how she felt about the performance while out grocery shopping in Los Angeles on Tuesday October 4, she told US outlet TMZ, “I’m nervous…but I’m excited”.

Rihanna is expected to be joined by special guests for the show, which is the Barbadian singer’s first major live performance in many years, but she declined to comment further on details.

She previously declined to perform in the 2019 Super Bowl halftime show out of solidarity with former US football player Colin Kaepernick, who became recognised around the world for taking a knee to protest racial injustice in the US.

The show has previously been headlined by global superstars including The Weeknd, Shakira, and Jennifer Lopez.

Nazanin Mandi, the wife of American singer Miguel has filed for divorce after 3 years of their marriage.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, Mandi, 36, filed for divorce from Miguel, also 36, in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County.

Mandi cited irreconcilable differences and asked that assets and properties be divided as detailed in their prenuptial agreement.

On Monday, Mandi took to Instagram to share a slideshow of snapshots including a famous series of photos of Nicole Kidman cheering after her divorce from Tom Cruise was finalized back in 2001.

“I don’t want it all .. I just want what’s meant for me,” Mandi captioned the slideshow post, which also included a quote that read, “In a world that profits from subservience, a woman embodied in her truth is a wild and powerful force.”

Her decision comes over a year after she and Miguel announced their separation in September 2021.

“After 17 years together, Miguel and Nazanin Mandi have decided to separate and have been for some time now,” a rep for the couple told PEOPLE exclusively at the time.

“The couple both wish each other well.” The pair, who dated for 10 years before getting engaged in 2016, got married at the Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley, California, in November 2018.

Soso Soberekon demands Harry Song retracts statement and pay N500,000,000 following murder allegation

Soso Soberekon has demanded that Harry Song retracts the statement he made accusing him of attempted murder and also pay a compensation of five hundred million Naira.

Harry Song claimed during an interview with Frankly Speaking Podcast hosts that talent manager Soso Soberekon sent people to kill him in Port Harcourt.

Responding through his lawyers, Soso said the statement by Harry is false and without basis.

He then demanded that Harry retracts his statement and publishes an apology in two national dailies and several online news outlets.

He also asked that the singer pays N500,000,000 as compensation.

Failure to do the above listed after seven days will lead to a court case, Soso warned.

Așa Demands N300m For Copyright Infringement, Joeboy Reacts

Singer, Bukola Elemide, also known as Asa, has issued a copyright infringement notice to her colleague, Joseph Akinfenwa, aka Joeboy, over his recently-released song, “Contour”.

The notice, which was shared by Joeboy on his Instagram story on Monday, revealed that Asa demanded the sum of N300 million and gave a 24-hour ultimatum for the song to be removed from all digital streaming platforms.

The singer, through her management, also asked for a 60 per cent publishing split on the song, and a written apology, as seen in the notice.The notice dated September 30 read in part,

”It has been brought to our attention that your newly released song, Contour (the “Song”), infringes on the copyright of our Client, as recorded/captured in a musical composition (the “Composition”) which she created in a recording session, which took place on 22 September 2020, with the producer of the Song, Alageu Michael Chidozie (p.k.a Tempoe) in attendance.

“We, hereby, demand that you immediately remove the Song from all DSPs and any other platforms within twenty-four (24) hours of your receipt of this letter, with a written apology issued to our Client as well as halt any additional infringements of our Composition, including any other infringements.”

Reacting to the suit on his Instagram story, Joeboy said that people seemed to want to take him for a ride because he was quiet.

He further dared Asa’s management to take legal action and reminded them that the 24 hours notice had elapsed.

He said, “Cos I day always do love and light you think say I be soft meat. You said I have 24 hours, it’s been 48 hours, do something.”

The 44th American president, 61, shared sweet memories of them on Instagram, including a photo of himself resting his head on Michelle’s shoulder while at the beach, their names engraved in a heart in the sand, and a black-and-white wedding photo.

The Obamas tied the knot in 1992 after three years of dating.

The pair first met in Chicago when Barack was assigned to be mentored by Michelle during a summer internship at a law firm.

The former president described their joyous wedding day, which took place in Chicago’s South Side, in his 2020 memoir, A Promised Land.

He wrote:

“After several years of dating, Michelle and I were married at Trinity United Church of Christ on October 3, 1992, with more than three hundred of our friends, colleagues, and family members crammed happily into the pews.”

Dua Lipa and Trevor Noah have sparked dating rumors after being spotted out on a romantic dinner date in New York City on Wednesday night.

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter and the comedian, 38, were spotted sharing an intimate meal at a Jamaican restaurant in the East Village called Miss Lily’s, as revealed in photos obtained by Daily Mail.

A source said;

“They were quietly sat away from everyone else at restaurant. It was clear they were into each other and sat close together throughout the meal.”

The informant further revealed that the duo “left together and walked,” stopping a few times “for long embraces” and even “kissed.”

Photos showed them sitting closely next to each other inside the eatery and then going for a stroll afterward.
