A particular Social media user has taken to her page to narrate a strange Edo tradition by the Onwa East people of Edo state.
According to her, she has a friend who is from the Igbo tribe, married to an Edo man and is currently pregnant for him.
The family members have been disturbing her to come home to get circumcised since she got pregnant.
According to their tradition, she has to come with a black soap and razor for the circumcision.
They threatened that the baby will die if she doesn’t undergo the circumcision, she has been scared to go back to her husband people because of this, and she is only just 25.
According to her, she had no clue about this strange family tradition before going into the marriage and every married woman gets circumcised in the family.
She has visited her doctor several to confirm if the circumsition is really true.
