Wizkid refers to Nigeria as UAR as he finally reacts to Twitter ban

Grammy award-winning Nigerian musician, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid, has reacted to the ban of Twitter’s operations in Nigeria by the Federal Government.

The superstar took to the Insta-story section of his verified Instagram account, today Saturday, June 5, to finally comment on the trending issue.

Wizkid, in his post, referred to Nigeria as UAR – which stands for United African Republic, the proposed new name for the country which was presented to the House of Representatives within the week.

He then asked if FG’s decision to ban Twitter in Nigeria is how things are going to be from now on.

Starboy wrote; “UAR…na so the ting go dey sup?”.

Recall that Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Friday announced the indefinite suspension of Twitter over what he termed the ”persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.”
