Two persons have escaped death in a lone road crash which occurred at Gbongan, Osun State.
The accident, according to the Osun Sector Command on the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, occurred along the Babalakin, Gbongan on Tuesday around 2:35 pm.
A statement by the Osun Sector Commander, Inyang Umoh, issued by the spokesperson, Agnes Ogungbemi, said the accident involved a white coloured Toyota Hiace commercial bus with registration number BDG756YH.
Ogungbemi in the statement said the remote cause of the accident was speed limit violation and a burst tyre.
She also said 19 persons – 18 passengers and a driver – were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
She also disclosed that the injured had been taken to a health facility for medical attention.
“Two injured victims were taken to Adeoye Medical Centre Gbongan for treatment, and the crash vehicle handed over to NPF Gbongan.”
Meanwhile, the Sector Commander Corps Commander Inyang Edet Umoh warned the motoring public to drive carefully and maintain the normal speed specification.
