President Bola Tinubu hosted the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona Ogbagba II , at his Lagos residence on Sunday, January 05.
Tinubu was earlier on Saturday in Enugu on his first state visit and inaugurated some completed projects undertaken by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.
Some of the projects the President commissioned included 30 of the 260 Smart Green Schools, 60 completed Type 2 Primary Health Centres, and 19-kilometer Airport-New Haven—Bisalla and Okpara Square roads built by Mbah’s administration.
Tinubu’s hosting of the Awujale was disclosed via images shared by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Social Media , Dada Olusegun, on Sunday, January 5.
The caption reads: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Received The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona Ogbagba II , at his residence in Lagos today.”
In May 2024, during the 90th birthday celebration of the paramount ruler, Tinubu awarded the Awujale the prestigious Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, the second highest national honour.
