Shatta Wale plans to retire from music after ‘Gift of God’ album

Ghanaian reggae and dancehall singer, Charles Mensah Jr, professionally called Shatta Wale has announced plans to retire from music.

According to the award-winning artiste, his next project, ”Gift of God” will be his retirement album.

The 36-year-old music star made the announcement via his Twitter account. He opened up about leaving the music industry to venture into entrepreneurship in order to create opportunities for many.

Shatta Wale wrote;

THIS #GOGALBUM WILL BE MY RETIREMENT ALBUM. Made enough to go into new businesses and create employment for those who still want to follow the course!”
