The reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, returned to the palace early Saturday.
A video circulating on social media reveals the moment Sanusi was driven back to the palace in a convoy.
He was reportedly accompanied by the Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, his deputy, Aminu Abdussalam, and other government officials.
PUNCH Online reports that the state governor on Friday reappointed Sanusi as the 16th Emir of Kano.
Sanusi, who had initially ruled as the 14th Emir, was dethroned in 2020 and replaced by the recently deposed 15th Emir, Aminu Ado Bayero when he had a fallout with the immediate past governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje.
