Obasanjo’s wife advises women to be patient

Mrs Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo has urged women to rely on God whenever they are going through tough times.

The ex-first lady made this known at the 55th birthday ceremony of Reverend (Mrs) Fola Achudume held on Wednesday at the Victory Life Bible Church auditorium, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

She pointed out that when an individual relies on God, especially during trying times, the impossible becomes possible, imploring people to be patient and focused wherever they find themselves.

She further advised people, especially women not to be envious of one another but rather see ways they can lift others.

“It is only when people take time to know the purpose of creation that they can appreciate the essence of life and human existence.

“The wife is a reflection of her husband, saying that women who get married to famous men must have it at the back of their minds that the spotlight is always on their husbands,” she added.

According to her, Reverend (Mrs) Achudume has not only carved a niche for herself in Christendom but has also done a lot in the areas of women empowerment and advocacy.

Chief (Mrs ) Obasanjo who described the Birthday Girl as a perfect match and pillar of support to her husband urged the womenfolk to always be submissive, as well as respect, honour and be there for their husbands and children at all times.
