Nigerian singer and instrumentalist, Harrison Tare Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has begged his former record label boss, Kcee, to pay his seven years royalties.
Harrysong and Kcee fell out in 2016 in a controversial manner.
The police picked up Harrysong over an invitation from the state’s Assistant Inspector-General of Police. Harrysong had since then avoided Kcee and the record label.
However, taking to his social media page on Monday, he urged his fans to help him appeal to Kcee to release his entitlement.
“I’m here to beg you all to help me beg Kingsley Okonkwo, known as Kcee to refund my money and release my songs.
“For more than 7 years now, he’s been the one collecting 100% of my royalties from all my big songs, Reggea blues, Baba for the girls, Samankwe, Better Pikin and Ofeshe. It’s not fair.
“At least, he can take his percentage and give me what is rightfully mine. Na beg I dey beg am, I know he likes to bully, he’s the Power Mike, help me beg him, the songs are mine, he should at least be fair to give me what is rightfully mine.
“May God not let us work, and another man just be reaping our hard end sweat in Jesus name,” he wrote.
