Covid-19 and the French Rugby Federation

Assistant coach William Servat has become the third member of France’s management to test positive for Covid-19, the French Rugby Federation says.

Head coach Fabien Galthie and another non-playing staff member both tested positive on Tuesday.

The trio will now isolate for seven days, with France due to host Scotland on 28 February.

All players tested negative, though they have been advised to self-isolate at home for the rest of the week.

The FFR says none of those who have tested positive have shown any symptoms.

The players will be tested at home on Friday and again on Sunday when they gather at the National Centre of Rugby in Marcoussis to prepare for their match against Scotland.

France will announce their 31-man squad for that match later on Wednesday.

France are top of the Six Nations table after two wins from two, having beaten Ireland in Dublin on Sunday.

Ireland said no positive results were found when all members of their squad and backroom staff were tested on Monday.
