Romelu Lukaku has opened up on his difficult season at Chelsea as he vows to show his critics what he is ‘capable of’ while on loan at Inter Milan.
The Belgian striker has returned to the Serie A giants on loan, just one year after leaving them for Chelsea for a massive £97.5million fee and failing to replicate his fine form.
Speaking to DAZN, as per Football Italia, Lukaku revealed he wanted ‘revenge’ at Chelsea after leaving as a youngster, and didn’t become the ‘hero’ at Stamford Bridge like he had expected. He said:
‘The season at Chelsea gave me extra motivation to do even better than before. I think in one year everyone has forgotten about the things I am capable of doing on the pitch. ‘That is a kind of anger that I have inside me. That now the team has it too, which didn’t win last year, all together we hope to do better and bring something home.’ When asked what went wrong at Stamford Bridge, he responded:
‘So many things. I think before, when I left, I wanted to take revenge at Chelsea because when I was young it was my team for 11 years. I had the opportunity to go back there and thought I would be a hero, but that wasn’t the case. ‘In March, when I heard there was an opportunity to come back here, slowly I didn’t say anything, but toward the end of the season we did a very good job with the club and I was able to come back here. ‘I make reflections only at the end of the season, so after the last game I put myself to think what my situation was. ‘I saw that as a player with Inter I did well, the season at Chelsea for me was difficult. I had no doubts, that’s why I made the decision to come back here.’ Lukaku was at Chelsea from 2011 to 2014, before he joined Everton following loan spells at the Merseyside club and West Brom. After that he had a difficult spell at Manchester United, before returning to his best form during a two-year stint at Inter Milan.
In his second season at the San Siro, Lukaku fired the club to the title, scoring 24 league goals in 36 Serie A matches. He then made a club-record move to Chelsea, where he scored just 15 goals in 44 appearances.
Lukaku also told DAZN that he doesn’t care about being the top scorer in Serie A and his main focus is to lead the club back to the title after they missed out to city rivals AC Milan last season.

A man was buried alive after passing out at a ceremony and only became aware of his condition when he woke up to pee. Víctor Hugo Mica Álvarez, 30, attended a ceremony in Bolivia dedicated to the Toba people of South America.
He was invited by a friend to have a few beers at the ceremony and he says he ended up being given as a sacrifice to Pachamamma, or Mother Earth.
In the middle of the night, he woke to pee and realised he was in a coffin, which he then broke and dug through sand to get out. He told local media: “We’ve gone dancing, I’m the guide, and I don’t remember anymore.
The only thing I remember is that I thought I was in my bed and I got up to go pee, and I couldn’t move anymore. “And when I pushed the coffin I barely broke the glass and, through the glass, dirt began to enter and so I managed to get out. I have been buried.”
He broke out of the coffin and asked a nearby person for help, and he was brought to a police station.
Other reports state that he was found wandering around El Alto, the second-largest city in Bolivia. He himself said that the ceremony was in Achacachi, a town on the shore of Lake Titicaca, nearly 80km north of El Alto. Álex Magne, who found him wandering, said that Victor Hugo was covered with cement on his face and head, meaning that those who attempted to sacrifice him may have tried to bury him under cement.
He said: “I have broken the glass, my whole hand has been hurt, I have barely gone out, but I went to the police and they told me that I am drunk. ‘You’re going to come healthy’, they told me.”

A lawyer has stated that it was wrong for the police to be involved after Kizz Daniel failed to perform in Tanzania.
Tanzanian fans, who had paid huge sums of money to watch the Nigerian singer perform, were disappointed when he didn’t show up, so they trashed the stage before angrily going home. Later, the concert organisers got police to arrest the Nigerian singer.
Reacting, Nigerian lawyer Moe Odele explained that “a breach of contract is a civil matter and the police should not be involved”. She added:
“Not holding brief for Kizz Daniel but using the police for civil disputes makes us complicit in abuse of police powers. I come in peace.
“We often complain that the police oversteps but we also need to stop using the police to enforce civil obligations. That’s not what the police is set up for.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being urged to secure their mansion in Montecito, California, against attack. A mountain lion was caught on camera prowling near their home in California.
The big cat was spotted just five miles away from where the couple live with their son Archie, three, and one-year-old daughter Lilibet.
The shocking video of the lion obtained by The Sun was filmed by a security camera late on July 23. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a chicken coop at their property which could make it a target. Sharon Byrne, executive director of the Montecito Association, said:
“We don’t know if the mountain lion is male or female. “That part of Montecito is a very rural, very mountainous area, the kind of habitat for mountain lions.
“There’s a drought on here in California so he or she was probably looking for water and whatever food could be scavenged, so that’s why they headed to where people live. “So far, all we have is this one sighting.
“But the fact we have security footage shows though that residents are taking this seriously as it was shot by a camera which is what we’ve been urging residents to install.
“We want all locals to secure their homes and secure their chicken coops and whatever other animals they may have.
“Chickens can be a fast, easy source of food for hunting animals so they have to be safe and secure.
“We also urge residents to secure their garbage so animals can go rummaging around for scraps, to have night lighting, alarms, cameras and so on.
“Mountain lions are solitary creatures and ultimately, they don’t want to be around people so we’re hoping this one moves on by itself.”
A woman has been left with a neck looking like a ‘lizard’ after a botched cosmetic procedure.59-year-old Jayne Bowman from Hampshire, paid £500 to have fibroblast work to tighten the skin on her neck after a diet.During fibroblast therapy, a device zaps a high-frequency electric current through the skin to encourage tissue regeneration.
However, the treatment Jayne received from a beautician she found on Facebook left her with hundreds of red blotches and scars. While the dots eventually faded, the experience proved an ordeal for Jayne, who wants to spread the word and is now calling for more regulations around the procedure.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson stressed the importance of finding ‘reputable, safe and qualified’ practitioners for cosmetic procedures.Jayne said: ‘I don’t go out without a scarf on. In fact I don’t like going out at all, I’d rather go out in the rain where I’ve got a hood up and nobody can see me.
I’m not slating all beauticians because they’re not all the same, but there are many of them out there that are bad. Stick to professional people.’Jayne looked up cosmetic procedures after a diet left her but an ‘ugly double chin.’
She said: ‘I was so proud of my recent weight loss, but I’d been left with excess skin that had left me with an unsightly double chin and I hated it.She appealed on Facebook: ‘Can anyone recommend me somewhere to get Botox on my double chin?’
A message popped up from a beauty therapist about a treatment called ‘fibroblast plasma’. Jayne said: ‘I checked out her page and saw she had great reviews and all the qualifications. ‘But when I got home my neck felt like it was on fire.’Weeks later there was no change at all apart from horrible scarring. I had hundreds of brow dots all over my chest and chest. I looked like a lizard!”All I was left with was unsightly red dots all over my neck.’I couldn’t bear going out of the house because of the awful scarring.
Jayne, who grew up in Mountain Ash, South Wales, but now lives in Hampshire spoke to a solicitor but they couldn’t get any further with her. She left a stinging review on Facebook – but that back-fired.She said:
‘Before long I was contacted by the police saying I’d been harassing the beautician. I was utterly astonished.’But I knew I was in the right when the other people messaged to say that the same had happened to them.
‘Now I am fighting hard and have even launched a petition calling for much stricter regulations in the beauty industry.’I am not after money, I just want justice for being butchered at the beauticians.
‘It honestly has been a living nightmare and I am living with the scars to prove it.’ A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said:
‘Anyone considering a cosmetic procedure should take the time to find a reputable, safe and qualified practitioner and consider the potential impact of surgery on both their physical and mental health.’Patient safety must always come first, which is why we are considering whether there needs to be more clarity around how treatments are classified and stronger, more robust safeguards for the regulation of providers of these treatments.’

Flash” star Ezra Miller has been charged with felony burglary after being accused of stealing alcohol from a home in Vermont.
The incident is said to have taken place in May after the star was accused of breaking into a house in Vermont.
TMZ reports that The Flash actor, 29, was investigated after the homeowners made a complaint that several bottles of booze were missing from the property after they returned from a trip out.
The report also states that after reviewing surveillance videos, police found “probable cause was found to charge” the “Perks of Being a Wallflower” actor with felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling.
Ezra had been laying low in recent months but was reportedly found on Sunday August 7, and ordered to appear for their arraignment in court late next month.
A Vermont State Police report said Ezra who uses the pronoun “they” was located by police at 11:23pm ET on Sunday and issued with a citation to appear on September 26.
This is the latest in a line of legal issues the star has faced this year. In March, police bodycam footage showed them getting aggressive with officers while involved in an altercation.
Rolling Stone also reported in June how the Fantastic Beasts star had a mum and her three children living on their farm where firearms were said to be left lying around.
It’s reported a one-year-old child put a loose bullet in her mouth at the property, which is allegedly an unlicensed cannabis farm.
Ezra’s list of controversies also go back to 2020 when they were accused of trying to choke a woman in a bar in Iceland.
Another woman has also claimed to have been harassed by the actor at her home in Berlin after telling them they weren’t allowed to smoke indoors. While Ezra is still set to appear in the latest “The Flash movie” which is set for release next year, it’s been reported they have been dropped from all future DC films.

Pete Davidson has reportedly been in “trauma therapy”, largely due to Kanye West’s attacks on social media. Sources told People that West’s frequent attacks are one reason Davidson has “been absent from social media.”
A source said; “The attention and negativity coming from Kanye and his antics is a trigger for [Pete], and he’s had to seek out help.”
The source stressed that, despite calling it quits last week, Davidson “has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.”
A source close to Kardashian however stated that Davidson’s involvement with trauma therapy had nothing to do with their break-up and that she “does not tolerate this type of behavior from Kanye.”
As for Davidson, he’ll be focusing on his career, moving forward. He’ll next be seen in the summer horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies.
And dating Kim Kardashian was still pretty cool, even with the Ye factor. According to People’s source, Davidson “has no regrets for dating Kim and wants it to be made very clear that she’s been nothing but supportive of him throughout their relationship.”
The “Golddigger” rapper, 45, has continuously criticized the “SNL” alum, who he dubbed Skete ever since he was first linked to Kardashian in October 2021.
Earlier this year, West released a video for “Eazy” that had him literally kidnapping and burying a cartoon version of Davidson. He also rapped about “beating Pete Davidson’s a*s.”
West also attacked Davidson in a second video for the same tune, this time while the actor wore a “Skete” hoodie. Yesterday, West posted a doctored image of a New York Times front-page obituary that read, “Skete Davidson Dead at Age 28,” following news of Davidson and Kardashian calling it quits.
Both Kardashian’s and Davidson’s teams contacted Instagram about the post which has since been removed.
