The Hollywood star died of a suspected drug overdose.
He was 54.
New York Post reports that drug paraphernalia suggesting a possible overdose was found in the apartment.
The actor was found dead in the living room of his Kent Avenue penthouse by his nephew.
The Flatbush native was famous for his role as Omar Little in the gritty TV series “The Wire.”
He also played the role of Chalky White in “Boardwalk Empire.’’
Nollywood actress, Mimi Orjiekwe has dashed the hopes of single people after she stated in an Instagram post that just because they are searching for true love doesn’t mean they will ever find it.
The 34-year-old ex-beauty queen mentioned in her post that being single is only a relationship status and it has nothing to do with one’s destiny.
The mother of one admonished her followers never to take their relationship status to heart because not everyone will find the ‘right person’.
The actress wrote;

Nigerian recording artiste, Harrysong, real name Harrison Tare Okiri has stated new methodologies women practice bestialism via his Instagram platform.

Four more housemates were evicted from the ongoing Big Brother Naija reality show on Sunday.
The quartet – Tega, Peace, Michael, and Boma – left the house on Sunday evening at the end of the “King Size” eviction earlier announced by organisers of the show.
The housemates left the show after six weeks of fun, games, tasks, and, of course, mild controversy.
Tega, who addressed the housemates after her eviction, revealed how much she missed her husband despite the open displays of affection for Boma, who was also evicted from the show.
She said: “I miss my husband, my son, and my mum. I can’t even explain it.
When asked by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, if she would miss Boma, Tega added: “Yes, he is my friend.”
The duo were caught in bed together last week.
The housemate claimed that what she did with Boma in the house was just a strategy between them to entertain the show viewers.
Michael, who was with Jackie B throughout his stay in the house, was evicted after about two months.
He was brought into the house alongside Kayvee, Queen, and JMK two weeks after the show commenced.
Peace emerged the first runner-up in one of the house tasks.
This earned her N1.5 million and an all-expense-paid trip to One Africa Music Festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Nigerian political activist, Prince Kpokpogri has disclosed certain skeletons about his relationship with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.
In a series of revelations published on his Instagram stories during the early hours of Sunday, Kpokpogri stated that his relationship with the actress was a ‘living hell’.
Kpokpogri’s statement is coming several days after Ripples Nigeria confirmed that the Nigerian politician and his partner, Tonto Dikeh have unfollowed each other on the social media platform, Instagram.
The couple have been together for barely three months.
In his Instagram publication, Kpokpogri addressed the issue of the leaked conversation that surfaced on social media a couple of weeks ago. He specifically mentioned in his IG stories that social media users trolling him should come with profound evidence against him that he cheated on the actress.
The Nigerian politician also insinuated that he is a victim of blackmail.
Further, Kpokpogri claimed there is plot to pull down men and the “recent revelation reveals we all need to be wary of Helen of Troy as it is glaring who had an ulterior motive all along”.
In the concluding part of his statement, Kpokpogri alleged that Tonto Dikeh cheated right from the start of their relationship, begged for a second chance and threatened to kill herself if he didn’t forgive her.

Popular Nigerian on-air personality (OAP) Chinedu Ani Emmanuel better known as Nedu has been accused of domestic violence by his estranged wife, Uzor Ohiri.
Uzor in a post via her Instagram story accused her husband of not catering for his kids.
She also accused him of battering her a few weeks after she had an operation while his mother watched.
Uzor further wondered why Wazobiafm, Lagos still allows the presenter to host marriage talks and shows even when he is one of the many men that beat their wives to stupor.
Seems like a very good time to call all useless men out. I’m tired. Let’s take care of the girls, leave my son out of this.
“Do you remember when you beat me up while your mother held my new-born a few weeks after I had a cesarean operation?

Nollywood actress, Annie Idibia has added her husband’s surname back to her Instagram bio.
The actress initially removed ‘Idibia’ from her name on the social media platform, leaving only Annie Macaulay (her maiden name).
However, she has now added Idibia back to her IG bio hours after she dragged her husband, his family and his baby mama, Pero Adeniyi on her Instagram stories.
Annie seems to have also unfollowed three individuals that she was previously following on the social media platform, Instagram. She was following 3,524 people prior to the rant on Thursday, September 2, however, she is currently following 3,521 people on Instagram.
Tonto Dikeh and her estranged partner, Prince Kpokpogri have unfollowed each other on their various social media accounts, fueling reports that they may have called their relationship quits just after two months.
This is coming several weeks after a leaked conversation between Kpokpogri and a yet-to-be identified woman surfaced online.
Recall it was reported that Kpokpogri was cheating on the Nollywood actress.
However, both parties haven’t deleted their photos on their respective social media pages.
It is uncertain if their relationship has packed up just after two months. Tonto Dikeh has not made a comment pertaining to Kpokpogri’s conversation about a certain escapade a couple of weeks ago.
Meanwhile, Kpokpogri has failed to fulfil his promise about the leaked conversation with the anonymous woman.
Bodmas Kemepadei, a media aide to Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri has urged Nigerian recording artiste, 2Face Idibia to marry his baby mama and former partner, Pero Adeniyi as his second wife.
Kemepadei’s comment is coming several hours after 2Face’s wife, Annie Idibia took to social media to allege that the multi-award winning singer is still romantically involved with his ex-lover.
The Bayelsa State media aide stated in a Facebook post that 2Face has the responsibility to take Pero as his second wife according to African tradition.

Nollywood actors, Zubby Michael and Junior Pope have slammed their colleague, Annie Idibia for taking to the social media platform, Instagram to call out her husband, 2Face, real name Innocent Idibia over a suspected affair with his baby mama, Pero Adeniyi.
On Thursday night, Annie held nothing back as she accused her musician husband of spending “excess time” with Adeniyi during his recent visit to the United States.
Zubby Michael stated in his Instagram post that he was disappointed in Annie as she could have handled the rift better.
Zubby wrote;
”Any woman that calls you out online is a wrong woman no matter what because a GOD fearing woman with home training will understand that this space is just like a market square. NDI ala NDI ala”
Meanwhile, Junior Pope admonished Annie to take her marital issues to a marriage counsellor or organize a family meeting and not on social media.

American music producer and rapper, Dr Dre, real name Andre Young is suing his estranged wife, Nicole Young for allegedly embezzling funds from one of his recording studio companies identified as Recording One.
The Recording One music studio is located in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks neighborhood, according to legal filings.
Dre’s lawsuit was filed after the judge overseeing his divorce ordered him in July 2021 to pay nearly $300,000 per month to his ex in spousal support for the foreseeable future.
The legal filings indicate that Recording One was formed in 2015 to operate as a recording studio.
Both Dre (who was born Andre Young) and his then-wife were in charge of ‘maintenance and control’ of the studio assets, and Recording One claims that Young was in charge of writing charges and transferring money for the business.
The studio contends that she ‘decimated’ its bank accounts by withdrawing $353,571.85 in the early stages of her divorce from from Dre, which she filed for in June of 2020.
Nicole could find herself in serious legal trouble if the studio’s allegations are found to be true.
The business accuses her of violating Penal Code 496, which states:
‘Every person who buys or receives any property that has been stolen or that has been obtained in any manner constituting theft or extortion, knowing the property to be stolen or obtained, or who conceals, sells, withholds, or aids in concealing, selling, or withholding any property from the owner… shall be punished by imprisonment in county jail for not more than one year.’
Nicole filed to divorce Dre in June 2020, citing irreconcilable differences after 24 years of marriage.
The estranged couple, who both got married on May 25, 1996, have two adult children together: son Truice and daughter Truly.

Nigerian filmmaker and director, Kemi Adetiba has hinted that she would not mind having Big Brother Naija 2021 contestant, White Money in the sequel of her blockbuster movie turned Series; King of Boys.
King of Boys was originally released as a movie in October 2018 and grossed N240 million in the box office.
The seasonal version which was created following a massive call for its return, premiered its maiden season on August 27, 2021.
Days after its premiere, Kemi took to Twitter to pose a question to fans of KOB on whether White Money would be a good addition to the cast.

Charles Idibia, youngest brother to ace singer, Innocent ”Tubaba” Idibia, and his sister-in-law, Annie Idibia, are having a war of words online after she called out the Idibia family.
Annie took to her social media page on Thursday night to slam her husband, Tubaba and his family, and babymamas.
She said her husband sleeps under the same roof with his children’s mother, Pero Adeniyi, when they’re on vacation, adding that his family never liked her.
In reaction, Charles Idibia, debunked the claims as he slammed Annie and accused her of ranting online because things are currently not going her way.
According to him, his brother Tubaba is dying slowly but he would not speak up because he’s a peaceful man.

Nollywood actress, Annie Idibia, has accused her music superstar husband, Innocent Idibia aka 2Face, of infidelity.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, the actress alleged that 2Face was still romantically involved with one of his “baby mamas,” Pero Adeniyi.
She wrote: “I am a patient woman. I am not an innocent fool. Your family never loved me from the beginning. No matter how hard I tried. I was never worthy to them.
“I have made so many sacrifices for you and all your children. God knows I have tried. Your baby mamas constantly use your children as an excuse for all sorts of rubbish.
“I try to stay gracious. You are not the first man on the planet to have kids with different women. You can do better. Everything I do is to show the good human that you are.”

Mrs. Idibia claimed that the singer slept at Adeniyi’s house for several days during his trip to the United States.
She added: “What kind of man takes his kids to Disney and spends nights in the same apartment with his kids and their mother?

Adeniyi is the mother of the singer’s three kids.

Ace Nigerian singer-songwriter, David Adeleke popularly referred to as Davido has left fans wondering if he has a collaboration with American rapper, Kanye West.
This comes after he reacted to Kanye West sampling of his hit song, IF.
Davido took to his official Twitter page and quoted a 2019 tweet which posted a video of the American billionaire sampling his song.
The Nigerian music sensation then told fans to save the video as they would understand the reason much later.
The Fall hitmaker quoted the Kanye sampling video and tweeted; ”Save this video .. will make sense later”

Canadian recording artiste, Drake has revealed that Nigerian singer, Tems will feature on his new music album, Certified Lover Boy.
Drake in some billboard ads in Lagos announced that Tems will feature on the album which will be released on Friday, September 3, 2021.
“Hey Nigeria Tems is on CLB,” the ad reads.
Although Ripples Nigeria is yet to spot any of the specific ads in Lagos, the photos have emerged on social media.

The Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, has appointed singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment.
The singer, who hails from Cross River State, was appointed alongside 26 other aides.
The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, and Publicity, Christian Ita, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the appointment took immediate effect.
Controversial actor, Uche Maduagwu has yet again taken a jab at actor and businessman, Jim Iyke, questioning the source of his wealth.
Recall that a video went viral some days back and it showed Jim Iyke confronting Uche and beating him for calling him a ritualist.
After the incident, Jim, in a recent interview with BBC Igbo, revealed he has settled his differences with Uche Maduagwu.
However, barely days after the supposed reconciliation, Uche has again insisted on knowing the source of Jim Iyke’s wealth.
In a video he shared on Instagram, he said Jim spent over 100 million naira and needs to explain where he got the money from.
“I was at the cinema because dem talk say you go come here today but Jim run him hear say Uche dey around. Person spend 100 million naira for one movie what is the job he dey do”, he captioned the video.
