Viral ”Mummy Calm Down” boy makes Nollywood debut in Kunle Afolayan’s movie

Young social media sensation, Oreofeoluwa Adeoti, popularly known for his “mummy calm down” video has joined Nollywood as a kid actor.

Five-years-old Oreofeoluwa’s rose to fame after a video of him telling his mother to calm down when she tried punishing, went viral.

After gaining national recognition, the young boy became an ambassador to some companies and met with Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and many other celebrities.

Ace Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan met with the young boy, and offered him a chance to break into the movie industry.

Little Oreofeluwa has now completed his first movie role in Kunle Afolayan’s movie titled ‘Swallow’.

Oreofeoluwa acted as Eniola Badmus’ young son, Ayo in the blockbuster movie.

Nigerian socialite, Cubana Chief Priest has leaked a chat allegedly between reality star, Maria, and his married sister.

This comes after the club owner called out Maria for having an affair with his sister’s husband, Kelvin.

The celebrity barman took to his Instagram page and shared screenshots of the chat which shows a lady alleged to be Maria apologizing to her lover’s wife.

She apologized for the drama brought upon the family while assuring the woman that she was ready to give up the affair just so the marriage can go back to what it was.

Sharing the snapshots of the chat, Cubana Chief Priest wrote; “Side Chick Dey Message Madam Dey Advice Am, Maria You Get Mind Shaaaa.”

Nigerian actress and Instagram big girl, Esther Ifeoma Nwachukwu aka Esther Sky, has spoken out in defence of side chics.

In a video she posted online, the slay queen said side chics deserve the best treatment from married men dating them.

Esther recently called out actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo and claimed that she’s having an affair with him.

Big Brother Naija 2021 star, Maria has revealed that her executive lifestyle is not funded or sponsored by any man because she’s been working since her teenage years.

In a recent interview, the Air hostess disclosed that she has been working from the age of 16 and even had to take up two jobs while combining work with studies.

I have actually worked from the age of 16, I went to high school, I went to the university and I was working two jobs. I paid my rent, I looked after myself I am a very hardworking person.

So sometimes when people say “she got all of these from men’ or because “she’s pretty and gets expensive gifts” it gets me upset,’‘ Maria said.

The interview which is from few weeks ago, resurfaced at a time that she is being called out by Cubana Chief Priest for allegedly trying to break up his sister’s marriage.

Nigerian Music Executive, Ubi Franklin has shared his thoughts on the cheating scandal involving Big Brother Naija 2021 star, Maria and Cubana Chief Priest’s in-law.

Ubi took to his official Instagram page to send a general message to married men who have side chics, that it is wrong to embolden their mistress to challenge their wife.

His comment comes on the heels of club owner, Cubana Chief Priest accusing Maria of stealing his sister’s husband identified as Kelvin.

The reality star is currently in Dubai and the said in-law, Kelvin is also in the Arab city, although it is not confirmed if they are together.

Cubana had also claimed that Maria sent threats to his sister to leave her husband.

I’ll like to win Grammy for gospel music – Comedian Akpororo

Popular Nigerian comedian, and actor, Bowoto Jephthah, popularly known as Akpororo, has said that he would love to win an international music award when he eventually goes into gospel music fulltime.

He stated this during an interview with The Punch as he spoke on his craft and how he has maintained relevance in the industry.

When asked if he ever thought of giving up on comedy, Akpororo said;

”No, I have not thought about giving up comedy but I am doing more music presently. I discovered that one can do three things and do them a hundred per cent well. Presently, I am working on my album and it is a musical album. I want to break into the gospel industry. By December, I will do my listening party/concert.”

On the effort it took to build his brand, the stand-up comedian said;

”Like I have earlier stated, my success comes from God. He is the one running everything. It is grace that took me to this level, not transport fare. I am grateful for his protection, for the brand and the fans too; in fact, I am really grateful to them (fans). Whenever I go on stage, people still cheer me on as if I just started comedy. I am really happy and I am grateful to the “Roro Nation.””

On his plans to diversify into gospel music, the comic star explained;

”I was into music before comedy. This is the main reason I want to release my album. I have dropped some singles but I do not get gospel music nominations except for the one I did with Testimony Jaga, which he featured me in. Apart from that, I have not got any gospel music award nomination. I have won “Best Collaboration with Testimony Jaga, Best Song of the Year for ‘’Hallelujah,’’ but I am still concerned about the big awards.”

He then revealed what his greatest achievement is

”My greatest achievement so far is building a house at Okokomaiko and Amen Estate in Lagos State. Then, having a street named after me at Okokomaiko,” Akpororo said.

Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, son of late music legend, Fela Kuti, has revealed the only way to easily get access to God.

Seun revealed this in a post via his Instagram story on Sunday.

He said that in order to get to God, one must get high.

Nigerian night aficionado, Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, has called out reality Tv star, Maria Chike Benjamin for allegedly having an affair with his sister’s husband.

The celebrity barman made this known in a post via his Instagram account on Sunday.

He also accused Maria of sending threatening messages to his sister adding that she shamelessly keeps showing off expensive gifts another woman’s husband got for her.

Maria Chike Benjamin, how on Earth will you threaten a married woman who has male and female offspring to leave her husband for you.

“You keep showing off the expensive gifts and cars her husband bought for you just to taunt her.

Nigerian recording artiste, Yemi Alade has revealed on her Instagram stories that she has been losing a lot of friends in recent times.

The singer stated in her post that despite the subtle departure of her friends, she has somehow found solace and peace of mind.

She went on to state that it was unhealthy to re-friend a friend that tried to destroy her character, adding that a snake only shades its skin to become a bigger snake.

Nigerian singer and CEO of DMW, David Adeleke also known aa Davido has revealed that his former artiste, Mayorkun is now signed to Sony Music.

He made this known during an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu at Mayorkun’s Album listening party for ”Back in Office”.

Davido recounted some of the fond first memories he has of Mayorkun when they first met.

The music executive also explained why he signed the ”Che Che” crooner and how their relationship lasted for over six years.

Speaking on why DMW did not promote Mayor’s album and why the label’s logo is not on the cover, the DMW boss said Mayorkun has been signed onto Sony Music and all his latest songs have the Sony music label embossed on them.

Late Fast and Furious actor, Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow Walker, married actor Louis Thornton-Allan earlier this month.

A memorable and heartwarming part of the wedding ceremony was when Paul Walker’s co-star, Vin Diesel, walked his longtime friend’s daughter down the aisle.

The beautiful moment was captured and shared on Instagram.

Meadow and Louis married in the Dominican Republic and spoke to Vogue about their ceremony.

“We couldn’t have imagined it to be any more perfect and personal,” Walker said. “And honestly it was easy and simple. Louis and I knew exactly what we wanted from the start. It was a very intimate celebration.

We were all barefoot, dancing in the sand. To finish the night, there was a wonderful display of fireworks, and we lit lanterns into the picturesque night sky,” she said.

Walker’s father died in a car crash in Southern California in 2013 at 40. He was in the passenger seat of a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, driven by a racing team partner, that slammed into a light pole and burst into flames.

Mayorkun reveals why he didn’t feature ex-boss, Davido in his new album

Talented Nigerian singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun has revealed why he didn’t feature superstar singer and DMW boss, David ”Davido” Adeleke in his new album.

Mayorkun got signed into Davido Music Worldwide in 2016 and has released hit songs under the label.

But it was reported weeks ago that he quietly left the label as his contract was not renewed this year. His new album was also not promoted by DMW and does not have its logo.

Speaking in a chat with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu at the listening party for his new album “Back in Office”, Mayorkun was asked why Davido was not featured in his new album ‘Back in Office’, and he said; “Most people don’t know how creating an album works; sometimes, it’s a groups of songs you’ve had way back and just compile together.

“The songs that we have together I don’t feel like it’s for this album but for a later time.

“I and Davido have songs together and it is not a situation that I took out his song for my album.”

The Listening party also had Davido in attendance alongside other current and former DMW acts.

Nigerian actress, Lala Akindoju confirms new role in Disney film

Nigerian actress, Kemi Lala Akindoju has confirmed her latest international feature in Walt Disney’s yet-to-be released movie ‘Rise’.

The Nollywood star announced the good news on her official Instagram page as she revealed that veteran actress Joke Silva stars in the film.

According to Lala Akindoju, she also doubled as the film’s Nigerian casting director.

She shared a video and wrote; “RISE @disneyplus Original movie based on the real life experiences of Milwaukee Bucks Star, Giannis Antetokounmpo and his family will Debut in 2022. Family. Dedication. Devotion.

So excited and honoured to have worked on this production in two capacities: Nigeria Casting & Acting”.

‘Rise’ which is directed by Akin Omotoso, and partly shot in Nigeria, follows the life and family of Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo following his parents emigration from Nigeria to Greece.

Disney Studio confirmed on Thursday that the film would debut on its streamer Disney plus on a yet to be confirmed date in 2022.

Woman claims to be DMX’s 15th child amid battle for his estate

A woman identified as Raven Barmer-Simmons has come forward claiming she is one of the children of late American rapper, DMX.

According to Page Six, Raven contacted DMX’s other adult children in the past few weeks, alleging that the artiste was her father. If so, this would be DMX’s 15th child.

She and the rest of DMX’s 14 children will all undergo a DNA test to confirm their paternity. This comes as a battle for DMX’s estate is becoming intense.

On Friday, a judge appointed DMX’s three sons, Xavier, Tacoma, and Sean Simmons, from his 16-year marriage to Tashera Simmons as the temporary administrators of their father’s estate.

DMX’s fiancée Desiree Lindstrom, the mother of his 5-year-old son Exodus, had applied to be legally declared his “common-law wife,” but the judge rejected her claim. She, along with DMX’s older daughters–Sasha Simmons and Jada Oden–had petitioned the court to be an administrator of his estate, which is estimated to be worth around $1 million.

The next big thing is to determine who are the rightful heirs, the estate is going to ask everyone to prove paternity through DNA testing. All the legal children of DMX will be entitled to an equal share of his estate,” said Herbert Nass, the trusts and estates attorney for Xavier, Tacoma, and Sean Simmons.

Despite a successful music and movie career, DMX left behind an estate estimated to be in debt. The lack of a will from DMX has also complicated setting up the estate.

Nass added; “We need to collect assets and pay debts and administration costs, we don’t have a lot of information about his income streams, but now the temporary administrators have been appointed, we can ask questions and expect answers.”

DMX died in April at age 50 following a drug-induced heart attack.

Popular Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, says she’s not ashamed that she’s the breadwinner of her family.

She made the statement in a post on her verified Instagram page, as she remembered her late mother one month after she passed.

The actress had lost her mother a few days before the latter’s birthday and the burial was conducted last week.

After the burial, the Nollywood star had travelled to the United Kingdom to reunite with her lover, David Falegan.

In her recent post, Nkechi promised to keep on fending for the family.

She wrote; “Exactly one month today, I lost my best friend. 23_09_2021 is a day I will never forget in a flash. Mummy you were my backbone.

“I remember you called me on the 19th and said a short prayer that touched my soul. Did you know you would leave 23rd? Only God knows but I promise to keep up your legacy.

“Mummy, a lot of people had nice things to say about you. I am proud to be your child Afianma. Yes you are gone but never forgotten.

You taught me how to hustle like a man, hence the reason a lot of people doubt my age, becauseI look older due to hustle and bustle.

“I took all the insults on the gram just so you don’t lack anything. I was useless for weeks when you passed. But you said to me ‘Nkechi, stand up. Don’t let my family name go down like that.’ I have a large family to take care of.

Taking to her verified Instagram page, the mother of one shared a make-up free photo of herself and challenged some of her female colleagues to do same.

Tega noted that people sometimes lose their real beauty while trying to fit into the world’s beauty standards influenced by makeup and filters.
