Nigerian musician, Small Doctor on Saturday, took to the streets to protest against bad governance, insecurity, amongst other concerns.
Hours after the June 12th protesters at Ojota, Lagos state were dispersed by police Anti-riot squad, Small Doctor stepped out to join other protesters.
He joins colleagues, Tiwa Savage, Mr Macaroni and Toke Makinwa who earlier came out to march in solidarity with protesters.
The ”Penalty” hitmaker addressed protesters and decried the state of the nation. He said that the people are tired and they have had enough.

Some pro-Buhari supporters have admitted that were promised N1,000 to come out and stage a counter-protest against the June 12 protesters in Abuja on Saturday.

When asked by the reporter if they have been paid, one of the ladies said “no”, but stated that she is sure they will be paid.
The interview was, however, cut short by one of the leaders of the #IStandWithBuhari movement, who insisted that “nobody should grant any interview”.

June 12, 2021, is the 28th anniversary of the annulment of the June 12, 1993, presidential election won by Moshood Abiola, it is set aside as Democracy Day.
States like Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Calabar, Edo and the Federal Capital Territory have seen a reasonable turnout of young men and women protesting over the challenges in the country.
The protesters brandished different placards with inscriptions including, “Revert electricity tariff now”, “End Bad Government”.

A woman made local news headlines in Spain after organizing for her obituary to be published when she dies, with a guest list of those allowed to attend her burial.
Maria Paz Fuentes Fernandez, who died on June 2, 2021 banned her family members from attending her funeral. She used her obituary in a newspaper to publish an exclusive guest list for her funeral.
She wrote: “Since my family has not been by blood for a long time, I declare in my last will and testament that only the people mentioned below can attend my funeral service, be it at the funeral parlour, church or cemetery.”
The woman listed 15 names allowed to be present to pay their last respects.
She added: “To everyone else who never cared during my life, I want you to carry on living far away from me, just like you were before.”
The obituary was published in the El Progreso newspaper in Lugo, Galicia, and has since gone viral online.
Mixed reactions greeted the woman’s actions on social media.
One Twitter user said: “If they left her alone during her life, they can get lost with their hypocrisy, well away from her funeral. Great lesson from this lady putting them in her place.”
Nigerian comedian and actor Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has joined protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in the Ojota area, the venue of the June 12 protest in Lagos State.
The protesters had earlier been dispersed by the police who fired tear gas canisters at them and also fired gunshots in the air.
They, however, converged again in front of a motor park approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation with placards, chanting “Buhari must go” and demanding good governance and end to insecurity in the country.

A high school graduate in the United States identified as Verda Tetteh, has donated her exceptional performance scholarship fund worth $40,000 (N16,484,000) to any student who may need it more.
Tetteh, who immigrated to the U.S. with her family from Ghana, delivered a powerful address on resilience at the beginning of the Massachusetts school’s graduation ceremony.
And just as she took her seat, the school’s principal announced her as one of the two beneficiaries of the scholarship.
While accepting the scholarship reward for her exceptional performance, Tetteh acknowledged how community college had greatly helped her mother, and she knew how far that money would go in funding an education there.
So she said at the ceremony that she wanted the administration to consider giving the scholarship to a community college student.
I am so very grateful for this, but I also know that I am not the one who needs this the most,” Tetteh said.
My principal actually you know, found me later that day and said, ‘I’m so very proud of you and that was a very selfless move.’
My mom said she cheered and gave me a standing ovation so I think it was very positive feedback and response from across the board,” Tetteh told USA Today.

A young Nigerian artist recently impressed music superstar, Ayodeji ”Wizkid” Balogun with a portrait of him which he painted.
The talented fine artiste known as Amos Osemwengie, shared photos and a video of his impressive painting of Wizkid and it got the singer’s attention.
Amos, in an Instagram post, explained that he had developed a love for integrating different art forms and saw no reason for there to be boundaries between the industries.
He wrote: “We can think about this piece as my first attempt at infusing both art forms. By creating a traditional visual art of one of Africa’s leading music star Wizkid(Big Wiz). Documenting what i believe to be his most solid project yet “Made In Lagos”.”
Explaining further, Amos said he infused all the elements he found exciting on Wizkid’s Made in Lagos album as well as the visuals he felt described the singer’s artistry.
Wizkid who has been known to keep a relatively low profile on social media eventually got wind of the painting and made sure to show love to Amos on his Instagram page.
The Grammy winner first shared four posts on Insta-story to celebrate Amos’ talent.
Going further, Wizkid also took to the comment section of Amos’ post to show his interest in the painting.
Yesterday, a video surfaced online showing leading Nigerian singers, Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay having a confrontation in a salon.
They got into a heated verbal exchange after Seyi tried to say hi to Tiwa, who reminded her of how she and Victoria Kimani dissed her some years back.
The incident stirred varying opinions on social media about the age-long beef which many say was caused by Seyi Sahy’s #F**kYouChallenge.
Seyi Shay has shared her side of the story in an audio obtained by Pulse.
In her statement she narrated that before the argument at the salon took place, she had walked over to say hi to Tiwa, who greeted her back while they shared fleeting glances at each other.
However, she added that after 20 minutes Savage walked over to her and that was how the infamous argument that has now gone viral started.
Shay revealed she was shocked by the unexpected outburst stressed that Savage’s beef with her was not about the #F**kYouChallenge verse she recorded in April 2019 as she confirmed that they have met each other more than twice since her #FvckYouChallenge and they exchanged pleasantries on all occasions.
To her, the beef is way more than that as made some accusations towards Tiwa Savage.
