Actor Yul Edochie has expressed grief over the tragic deaths of two young cinematographers, Johnson and Gozman, in a fatal car accident along Port Harcourt Road.
Reports indicated that the victims were returning from a colleague’s wedding when the crash occurred.
Their deaths marked yet another heartbreaking loss in what has become a wave of untimely tragedies within film industry.
In March, Nollywood lost veteran actress Nkechi Nweje, after a brief illness. Just a month earlier, the industry mourned the death of acclaimed actor and academic Columbus Irisoanga. His passing was announced by actress Hilda Dokubo, who described it as a deeply painful loss.
Yul Edochie paid tribute to the late cinematographers with a solemn candlelight image shared on his Instagram page.
In his message, he lamented the recent wave of untimely deaths plaguing Nollywood, calling the losses heartbreaking.
He wrote: “Too many untimely deaths in Nollywood. Really Sad. R.I.P to our fallen brothers. May God grant your families the strength to bear this painful loss.”
