Actor Yul Edochie and wife, May, lose their first son, Kambilichukwu

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie and his wife, May, are bereaved as they lost their first son, Kambilichukwu Leo Yul-Edochie, on Wednesday, March 29.

According to reports, Kambilichukwu had read throughout the night on Tuesday in preparation for his exams on Wednesday. After his examination on Wednesday, he joined his friends to play football. While playing, he slumped and developed a seizure.

He was immediately rushed to the Mother and Child hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Kambilichukwu turned 16 in January 2023.

Yul Edochie Endorses Photoshopped Christmas Photo Of his Family

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has endorsed a photoshopped image of his family, shared by a colleague of his, Sarah Martins, on Christmas Day.

Edochie’s first wife, May, on Sunday posted an image of herself and children to commemorate Christmas Day.

The photo had sparked reactions over the absence of the actor from the family portrait.

Sarah Martins posted an edited image of May’s family portrait, which now included the actor, his second wife, Judy Austin, and their child, Star Dike.

She captioned it, “Beautiful Family…😍 As it should be 👌❤️.

“Reacting to the photo, Edochie said, “🤣🤣🤣Yes oo Sarah. As it should be. Beautiful family. Blessed man with blessed family.

Everybody will be living in peace, love and jolly. May Zukwanuike.”

Yul Edochie apologises publicly to first wife May Edochie for the first time

Yul Edochie has publicly apologised to his first wife, May Edochie, for impregnating his colleague and marrying her as a second wife.

Since Yul’s marriage to his colleague, Judy Austin Muoghalu, was announced, May has made it clear several times that she will not be forced into a polygamous union. Yul has now taken to Instagram to beg for her forgiveness.

He admitted that he hurt her, but begged her to remember the 99 things he did right and forgive the one thing he did wrong.

Yul Edochie’s Second Wife Celebrates ‘Senior’ On Birthday

Judy Austin, actress and second wife of Yul Edochie, has taken time out to celebrate her husband’s first wife, May, on her birthday on Friday.

Austin posted May’s picture on her Instagram page and captioned it;

“Happy beautiful birthday Queen, #mayyuledochie. I pray for God’s love and protection. Wishing you everything good in life. Enjoy your day.”

Yul Edochie announced his marriage to Austin in April.

Yul Edochie has lamented the crop of actors and actresses finding their way into the Nigerian movie industry.

The actor wrote on Instagram that everyone now wants to be an actor or actress, even those who can’t speak English.

He wrote:

Everybody wan be actor and actress.All the dummies around want to be actors and actresses.

Nollywood has turned to dumping ground for block heads.

Even people that can’t speak good English have become actors and actresses unlike before.

Nollywood don suffer.

Somehow everything dies in this country.Why??

”I have the right to marry 25 women” – Yul Edochie

Nigerian actor cum politician, Yul Edochie has finally addressed the myriad of criticisms he’s been receiving over his decision to marry a second wife.

Recall that few weeks ago, he announced that actress, Judy Austin has become his wife and they welcomed a baby boy together.

Following the news, he was lambasted on several social media platforms, so this forced the Nollywood star to say he would speak up.

In a recent 12-miniute-long video, Yul confirmed his marriage to Judy, and stressed that it was no one’s business if he chose to marry more wives.

The Nollywood actor added that there were other pressing issues in the country, and he urged those dragging him to focus on their personal lives.

Yul’s said: “It’s my life, I have the right to wake up in the morning and marry 25 women if I like I make it up to 50, It is not any of your business.”

Sharing a video, he wrote; ”So I finally spoke my own side of the story. Please watch till the end, listen carefully and share if you can. Thank you.”

Yul Edochie urges people to speak their local dialect

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has admonished his followers to speak their native dialect.

In a tweet shared on his social media platform, Yul stated that speaking of native language doesn’t make anyone local. He stated that it is pivotal to learn how to say it and be proud of it.

Here is what he wrote;

Speak your language proudly.
It doesn’t make you local.”

Having flat stomach is very childish – Yul Edochie

Popular Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie has opined that it is childish to have a flat stomach.

He shared his opinion while responding to a tweet by top actress, Rita Dominic who stated that she laughed too hard when she saw a post describing as childish the idea of having flat stomach.

Yul Edochie supported the assertion, adding that men like himself do not like such childish things.

Rita Dominic wrote; ”Someone on the app tweeted ”having flat stomach is childish” I laughed till tears came out of my eyes.”

Yul then quoted her tweet and wrote;

”True

It is very childish

And men like me don’t like childish things”

Yul Edochie apologises to Kanayo O Kanayo days after calling him out

Nollywood actor and politician, Yul Edochie has tendered a public apology to legendary actor, Kanayo O Kanayo after calling him out.

Few days ago, Yul said KOK cut off his face from an upcoming video Flavour featured them in.

He expressed utmost disappointment in Kanayo, saying he did not expect that from someone he loves and respects.

Yul wrote; ”So, Uncle KOK posted the same video and cut my face out of it. Same full video that @2niteflavour sent to all of us yesterday. Na wa oo. Coming from a Legend I love and respect so much I feel bad.

I always celebrate my colleagues on my page, old and young, and I do it with joy. I also do it to teach the younger ones that there’s no place for beefing or envy in this life. And this is what I get from a Legend I look up to.

I saw the video on his page and I was about to hail him, only to discover that my face was cut off. If I wronged you unknowingly, call me on the phone and let me know and I’ll apologize immediately. Love and respect you always Sir, but this new style no pure at all. Make others no go learn am.”

Upon realising his mistake, KOK uploaded a newer version, this time showing Yul’s face.

In a recent post on Yul’s Instagram page, apologised to his senior colleague for his earlier public outburst even though he had privately apologised to him.

In his words; ”I sincerely apologize to Uncle KOK @kanayo.o.kanayo for my post 2 days ago.

I made a public outburst so it’s only normal that I make a public apology even though I’ve reached out to him privately which is what I should have done first no matter how bad I felt about what happened.

I’m human, bound to make mistakes sometimes. I acknowledge my mistake and I own up to it. I am sorry sir.

Such will never happen again. Love and respect you always Sir. Wish you more life and God’s blessings.”

I’m a man sent by God to liberate his people – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie says he has been sent by God to Nigeria to liberate his people.

The movie star, took to his Twitter account to state that planning an escape from the country is not the plan B he ascribes to, rather he would stay and work towards making his fatherland a better place.

He also added that though many are afraid of losing their lives while fighting for a better Nigeria, the certainty that death awaits everyone is the motivation he needs to pursue his mission to the end.

Yul had declared his intention to run for the seat of president come 2023 general elections and his father, veteran actor, Pete Edochie blessed and endorsed his ambition.

Speaking on his role as a liberator, the 39-year-old who noted that things must work the right way in Nigeria, said his Plan B is ”NO LEAVE NO TRANSFER”.

“Jakpa is not the answer. Yes, no one wants to lose his life but truth is, we’ll all die someday, all of us. So what’s the point of running? I’m a man sent by God to liberate his people. I will not run from my fatherland. We must get it right. My plan B is ‘NO LEAVE NO TRANSFER’,” he wrote.
