Having Wizkid on a song is more important Drake – Skepta

British-Nigerian rapper, Joseph Junior Adenuga, professionally referred to as Skepta, has said that it was more important for him to be on a song with Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid than with Canadian rapper, Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham.

Skepta as who is also fondly called Big Smoke, recently dropped a 5-track Hip Hop project titled ‘All in’, and it featured Nigerian Alte artiste, Teezee, American singer and producer Kid Kudi and Colombian singer J.Balvin.

Speaking at an event organised for the EP release, Skepta stated that it was more important for him to be with Wizkid on a song than have Drake as a featured artiste.

”Me and Drake’s first meeting musically was on a Wizkid record. That was more important to me than asking Drake to jump on a song of mine.” he said.

Recall that Skepta was essential in getting Drake to work with Wizkid on not one, but three tracks, Ojuelegba remix and One Dance in 2016 as well as ‘Come Closer’ in 2017.

According to Skepta, he always knew Wiz was a superstar, hence the reason he had always been rooting for him.
