Singer Teni shows of her body in new photos

Nigerian singer, Teni, has taken to Instagram to share new photos which captured a slimmer figure of her after a weight loss journey that took several months.

Teni captioned the photos she shared “Cost money to look like me”. The singer was spotted in some of the photos with Broda Shaggi and Phyno.

Popular Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni the entertainer, has revealed that she lost 75 pounds (34kg) without undergoing surgery.

The singer, who is known for her plus size, said this via her Twitter handle on Monday.

She slammed those who linked her weight loss to surgery saying, “Lost 75 pounds no surgery! D*mb as*es claiming I did can s**k mine!”

Abba Bichi, a footballer and son of Director General of State Security Services, Mr. Yusuf Magaji Bichi, has called out singer Teni for not bowing to President Muhammadu Buhari while receiving her Member of Order of the Niger (MON) award, yesterday October 11.

Abba who accused Teni of being arrogant, also described her as an “Orobo with zero sense”.

He claimed that she was disrespectful to the President even when Director-General of World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and other high-ranking government officials bowed to him while receiving their awards.

Abba wrote;

Orobo with zero sense, even her excellency okonjo bowed down her head as a sign of respect to the president and commander in chief of the armed forces, likewise other high-ranking government officials. Who are you not to respect the president? This is disgusting and disturbing. Yoruba people are best known for their respect for elders but it got to your turn and you decided to be arrogant

Teni, Okonjo-Iweala and Amina Mohammed receive national honours

As the world celebrates the International Girl Child day, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations and singer, Teni have been conferred with national honours.

While Okonjo-Iweala and Amina were presented with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) award at the National Honors Award held on Tuesday October 11, at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, Teni was awarded the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

Police dismisses report on attempted abduction of music star in Rivers

The Rivers State police command on Monday dismissed the report on the attempted abduction of music star, Teniola Akpata, aka Teni, in the state.

Reports emerged on social media that gunmen stormed the venue of a live concert at Buguma, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday and fired several gunshots in an attempt to kidnap the singer.

The command spokesperson, Grace Iringi-Koko, who made the clarification in a statement in Port Harcourt, said the gunshots heard at the venue of the concert were fired by security operatives.

She said: “Contrary to what many thought was an attempt to kidnap the singer, the gunshots heard in the background were from security operatives who were shooting in the air to repel some disgruntled element who were throwing objects at Teni while on stage.”

The spokesperson added that police had opened an investigation into the cause of the mayhem at the event.
