Singer Davido set to dump single life

Nigerian recording artiste, David Adeleke better known as Davido has explained in a newly uploaded video on his Instagram stories that he is prepared to get married because he no longer wants to identify as a player.

The singer shared a video on his Instagram Stories with the caption: “I think I’m gonna get married soon, cos….”

To explain the reason why he intends to get married, he added a video of a white man singing, “I don’t wanna be a player anymore.”

Davido, a father of three, was previously engaged to a chef, Chioma Rowland. In October 2019, Davido took a bold step to propose to Chioma in the United Kingdom, however, the couple ended their relationship due to reasons yet to be disclosed to the public.

Singer Davido tackles Gov Oyetola over campaign promise to Osun farmers

Nigerian recording artiste, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has questioned the decision of Osun State governor Gboyega Oyetola’s to wait until his second term to fulfill his promise to farmers in the state.

Davido aired his opinion on his official Twitter platform on Sunday, March 20.

This was after the Osun State governor engaged members of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) on Sunday in the Odo-Otin local government area of the state.

He mentioned during the programme that he had not neglected his plans for them as the farmers would be his priority should he emerge victorious in the coming Osun State governorship election on July 16.

Oyetola added that his administration would continue to support farmers with necessary farm inputs.

Reacting to Oyetola’s declaration, Davido questioned why the governor could not do the needful now since he was still in power. He asked why the governor had to wait for a second term to take care of the farmers’ needs.

Davido wrote:

“Why not fulfill it before election?
Must you wait to be reelected?”

David I’d uncle, Ademola Adeleke, popularly called, the dancing senator, is also contesting for the governorship seat of Osun State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Singer Davido swoons over his act in Eddie Murphy’s Coming 2 America

Nigerian singer-songwriter, David Adeleke better known by his stage pseudonym Davido has been one of the artistes who have represented the Afrobeats genre across the globe for over a decade.

In the recently released sequel of Eddie Murphy’s blockbuster comedy, Coming 2 America, Davido was privileged to perform his 2018 smash hit, ‘Assurance’ at a wedding scene.

The excited 28-year-old singer has taken to social media to appreciate Eddie Murphy and members of his team for involving him in the project.

Davido revealed that he is proud to be a part of the blockbuster movie.

The music star took to his Instagram page on Friday, March 5, 2021, where he shared a video of his performance in the movie.

“It was an absolute pleasure sharing a set with a few legends that held the key to my childhood laughs. The sheer effort, work ethic and attention that goes into detail in creating art like this is way more astounding than I could ever imagine,” he captioned the video.

Singer, Davido, reveals his father worked at fast-food restaurant, Burger Kings, before he became wealthy

Nigerian recording artiste, David Adeleke better known as Davido is the son of billionaire businessman, Adedeji Adeleke. Davido is the last born of the multi-billionaire.

Davido recently revealed that his father is his biggest influence.

According to the singer, his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, worked as a manager at Burger King, a fast-food restaurant in the US before he became wealthy.

The singer disclosed this while speaking about his biggest inspiration during a performance on NPR’s Tiny Desk, a video series of live concerts hosted by NPR Music in Washington.

The inspiration for me has been my father, a Nigerian-American like me. He studied in the States. I studied there myself. I went to HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), a predominantly black college,” he said.

“My dad went to one as well. He used to work at Burger King. He was a manager at Burger King.”

This is coming several days after the singer narrated his grass to grace story on the social media platform, Twitter.

At the time, Davido revealed that he stayed in a one-bedroom apartment with his cousins, B-Red and Sina Rambo.

Damn, I went to my old apartments where I used to live 12 years ago with Sina and B red!!! As hard as it is to believe .. we had no money .. no support just us and a dream !! 12 years later ! We millions in ! Road to a billion
