Reno Omokri urges FG to arrest Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed

Reno Omokri has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to arrest Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed the way Nnamdi Kanu was arrested.

Reno said the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and his Vice Presidential candidate Datti Baba-Ahmed should be locked up when next they make “treasonous comments”.

Omokri wrote:

“The next time either Peter Obi or Datti Baba Ahmed open their mouths to make treasonous comments, the Federal Government should arrest them. Nothing will happen. What happened when FG arrested Nnamdi Kanu? Did heaven fall? Arrest the wimpy simps if they blab anyhow!”

There’s no Nigerian that needs more than N100K cash weekly — Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has spoken in favour of the recently imposed cash withdrawal limit by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Recall that the CBN recently restricted the maximum cash withdrawal over-the-counter (OTC) by individuals and corporate organizations per week to N100,000 and N500,000, respectively.

Reacting to criticisms that have trailed the policy, Omokri stated that there is no Nigerian that needs more than N100K cash weekly.

He added that other than paying for transport fares or buying groceries, everything can be done cashless.

Former PDP secretary Olisa Metuh asks the party to issue a disclaimer against Reno Omokri’s posts

Former secretary of the PDP, Reno Omokri has asked the Peoples Democratic Party to issue a disclaimer against former presidential aide, Reno Omokri’s posts.

Metuh made the call while quoting Reno Omokri’s post targeted against supporters of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Omokri had written;

You rage against Tinubu. You insult his ethnicity (who are the most accommodating people in Nigeria and perhaps Africa). You accuse him of using MC Oluomo. You say Obi is far better than Tinubu. You say Obi will turn Nigeria into paradise. Yet, you remain in Lagos and refuse to leave Lagos for the paradise that Obi created in Anambra! The only reason I am against Tinubu is because as a drug lord, he can be blackmailed by foreign intelligence services. Otherwise, he performed as Lagos Governor. If you maintain that Obi did better than Tinubu, prove it by packing your kaya and relocate to Anambra!

Reacting to this, Metuh stated that while Omokri is not a member of the Presidential Campaign team, his closeness to PDP’s Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his open support for the party may mislead people to believe his posts represents the views of the Party.

He also said that while the former presidential aide had agreed on issue-based campaign, he is reneging on the promise he made.

Metuh wrote;

The time has come for the Peoples Democratic Party to issue a disclaimer to Reno Omokri’s posts.

Whilst he is not a member of the Presidential Campaign team, his closeness to the Presidential candidate and his open support for the party may mislead people to believe his posts as representating the views of the Party.

There is no way any responsible or respectable democrat can condone such insensitivity. We did not join politics to mock or disparage any set of individuals, least of all a whole tribe.

The founding fathers of the PDP had noble ideals and its ideals and values should not be desecrated by any individual, on the altar of a false strategy to engineer hatred against any tribe or stroke an ethnic contest.

I spoke with Reno yesterday morning and he agreed on issue based campaign only, this is a complete negation of that promise. We all should insist on an issue based campaign.

APC’s Keyamo, PDP’s Omokri react to Obidients’ rallies

Former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has said that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has disrupted the political space in the country.

Omokri, a staunch supporter of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, stated this late Saturday in reaction to the rallies held across the country by the supporters of Obi for the 2023 presidential election.

Describing the rallies as great achievements, he noted that the Obidient movement should not be disregarded by anyone who was politically conscious.

“The Obidient rallies at Festac and Amuwo were amazing. They are great achievements. Anyone who tries to belittle them is not politically astute. While Obi will not win in 2023, he has successfully disrupted politics in Nigeria.

Well done Obi! Well done Obidients!”, he tweeted.

However, in an earlier tweet, Omokri had said that the rallies were just a show of force by southeastern traders who closed down their shops.

“These so called ‘one million man marches’ are mostly a gathering of traders in various Nigerian towns and cities, who close down their markets (that are heavily dominated by people of southeastern origin), to do what in the military is called a show of force,” he tweeted.

The Spokesman for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), has also reacted to the rallies by the Obidients on Saturday.

Mocking the supporters of Obi, Keyamo said the rallying Obidients were not more than a thousand people who were not more than the electorate needed at two polling units.

“The aerial shots are the best. Now, look at this: at best the ‘crowd’ here is not more than a thousand people which is approximately just two polling units,” he quote-tweeted a video from one of the rallies.

Musicians do not receive their blessings from God – Reno Omokri

Nigerian author and pastor, Reno Omokri has suggested that the wealth and success that musicians are enjoying is not as a result of God’s blessings.

He stated this on Instagram while responding to a follower who questioned his post about success and progress making a U-turn for some men after they fornicate with slay queens.

The follower identified as Abdulrahman Omeiza then wondered why the same does not apply to musicians who sleep around but are still progressing.

In response, Omokri said asked Abdulrahman if he thinks it is only God that blesses. He further explained that their are other sources of blessings which are not of God.

He then referenced the biblical stories of magicians replicating what Moses did in Egypt, to buttress his point.

Omokri wrote; ”Dear Abdulrahman Omeiza, Do you think it is only God that blesses? Proverbs 10:22 says “The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it.” What we learn from this is that there are other ‘blessings’ other than the blessings of God.

Don’t forget that Pharaoh’s magicians were able to replicate the first few signs that God wrought through Moses. Who was the source of true miracles? Certainly not God! What you should be looking at is the end of such blessings, not the beginning. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says “the end of a matter is better than the beginning thereof”.

Joshua 1:8 tells us that God gives “good success”. If there is good success, then by an application of Newton’s Third Law, there must invariably be ‘bad success’. Thank you and may God bless you.”

‘God does not bless nice people’, Omokri says as he slams fans sending money to Davido

Former presidential aide and social media commentator, Reno Omokri has slammed followers and fans sending money to Nigerian recording artiste, Davido.

In an Instagram post shared on Thursday, November 18, the political activist admonished fans to be wise with the way they disburse funds to especially wealthy celebrities.

It would be recalled that Davido, real name David Adeleke on Wednesday, November 17 published his account details on the social media platform, Twitter so his fans could donate ahead of his 29th birthday celebration.

The singer also called upon his colleagues in the entertainment industry to send him the sum of N1 million each. Davido has since amassed almost N200 million within 48 hours.

Several Nigerian celebrities have also made attempts to join the ‘funds challenge’, prompting Reno Omokri to quickly address the trend.

Omokri admonished young individuals to invest their money and not necessarily use it to ‘get into debt because of a trend’.

In his concluding paragraph, the UK-based social media commentator stated that ‘God does not reward nice people’, hence they should be wise.

Read his thread below.

“Nothing wrong in giving money to people. But, don’t go into debt to show people how much you love them. Even worse is going into debt to try to belong to a clique that already knows who belongs and who doesn’t. Use your money to get wealthy, not to get attention!

“When you feed the poor, God feels you. When you feed those that are richer than you, God deals with you. Your wisdom is profitable. To you. Your foolishness is also profitable. But to others. Not you. How can you give someone what your haven’t given your mother?

“God does not reward nice people. He rewards wise people.”

Omokri slams Minister, Lai, over real reason behind Lagos-Benin border closure

A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has slammed the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed over the reasons behind the closure of the country’s land borders with the Benin Republic.

According to Omokri, this decision was made by the Federal Government in order to railroad Benin Republic into handing over the Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Igboho for prosecution.

In a series of tweets on Thursday, he also stated that the reports that the FG closed the borders in order to redress the menace of smuggling is a lie.

Omokri wrote: “Buhari claims he closed the Benin Republic-Nigeria border because of banditry.

“That is a lie from the mouth of Lai Mohammed. The real reason behind the closure is to pressure the Beninese government to hand over Igboho to him.”

Igboho was arrested with his wife in Benin Republic and is currently undergoing trial while.gis wife has been released.

Youth coalition hails attack on Omokri, wishes him more

A youth group under the auspices of the National Youth Coalition (NYC) has hailed an assault on former Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, who was attacked in New York on Saturday, after organising a protest against President Muhammadu Buhari.

The attack on Omokri which was captured on video, showed him being assaulted by an unknown assailant shortly after organising the protest against Buhari.

The activist was saved from more bodily harm by a man whom he said was his bodyguard named Sean

However, the youth group in a statement on Sunday, signed by its National Coordinator, Olugbenga Michael, said that Omokri should “expect more deadly attacks if he continues to embarrass Nigeria before the international community.”

The group added that the assault on Omokri “is not attack against freedom of speech, movement or association as the case may be, but a legal way of defending the honour and glory of the country as enunciated in the fourth paragraph of the National Pledge of Nigeria which reads: “To defend her unity, and uphold her honour and glory, so help me God.”

Part of the statement made available to Ripples Nigeria reads:

“This is the oath of allegiance that every Nigerian have taken and which we are committed to enforcing voluntarily because we believe we have no other country to call home if Nigeria fails.

At this point, we wish to state categorically that we have no affinity or association with the Nigerian Government directly or indirectly, but we are young people of Nigeria who are inspired by how Americans are ready to die in defence of America and will do everything possible to ensure that America’s Union works perfect in line with the dreams of their founders.

“Hence, we are young people who came together to turn our diversity into strength, thereby making Nigeria work for all Nigerians irrespective of class, creed, political party or association.

“Our membership is open to all those who believe in the unity, indivisibility, progress and prosperity of all Nigerians and are willing to defend the letter and the spirit of the article of faith enshrined in our National Pledge and the National Anthem because the future of Nigeria belongs to us.”

What’s the difference between Hushpuppi, Buhari, Tinubu?, Omokri asks

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has said there is no difference between President Muhammadu Buhari, the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi.

In a post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, Omokri said that while Hushpuppi was defrauding people and using their monies to bribe a Deputy Commissioner of Police, the source of the billions of Naira allegedly spent by Tinubu for Buhari’s election in 2015 and 2019 remains unknown.

Omokri in a post on Twitter using his verified handle wrote, “What is the difference between Abba Kyari and Buhari? Hushpuppi stole money and used it to bribe Kyari.

Where did Bola Tinubu get the money he used to instal Buhari? Until we deal with the crooks at the top, we will continue to be the laughing stock of the world.”

It would be recalled that the United States Department of Justice disclosed that Hushpuppi who is currently facing trial in the US for internet fraud and pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against him, allegedly bribed Kyari to arrest and jail his associate in Nigeria, Chibuzo Vincent.

However, Kyari in a statement on his Facebook page, denied the allegations levelled against him, saying he only received the sum of N300,000 from Hushpuppi which is not a bribe, but money ment for his designer to make clothes for the fraudster.

Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, on Sunday recommended Kyari’s suspension to allow a thorough investigation into the matter, and the Police Service Commission followed suit by suspending him.

If you haven’t found your purpose in life, stay single – Reno Omokri to men

Nigerian socio-political critic, Reno Omokri has advised men to be sure to find their purpose in life before deciding to find a wife.

Omokri explained that a man ought to find his purpose in life first and after this is done, a good wife will naturally come his way.

Using a biblical reference, the author stated that God created Eve only when Adam identified his purpose, which was taking care of the garden of Eden.

He wrote: “Dear men,

If you have not found your purpose or success, don’t find a wife, because you won’t be able to fund her. If you find a wife before finding your purpose and success, most likely, you have found trouble.

When you find purpose and success, the right woman will find you. God only brought Eve to Adam when Adam found his purpose (caring for the Garden of Eden). You do not need a wife simply because you have sensual urges. You need a wife when you have a life that is successful enough to accommodate other people.”

Nigerian govt tolerates bandits but can’t withstand a ‘hero’ —Omokri

An aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has blasted the Federal Government over its he described as dishonesty in the handling of bandit activities and secessionist agitations in the country.

Omokri made this statement on Saturday via a post on his Facebook page in the wake of the confrontation between police operatives and agitators of the Yoruba Nation at the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, Lagos.

He said, “Imagine a government that says that bandits and killer herdsmen can be tolerated even though they kill Nigerians, as long as they believe in one Nigeria, but Sunday Igboho cannot be tolerated because he does not believe in Nigeria even though he doesn’t kill Nigerians.

Indeed, I am impressed that Igboho’s rally was still held, despite desperate attempts by the Buhari junta to stop it. Sunday Igboho is a hero.

“He has done no wrong by protecting his people from killer herdsmen because Article 51 of the United Nations charter gives him that right.

“He and his supporters also have a right of freedom of association, and I commend them for utilising that right in the face of obvious attempts to intimidate them”

Reno Omokri declines supporting a woman’s business because she didn’t address him with respect

Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has declined assisting woman who requested for financial support.

The woman who said she is a hairstylist, had taken to the comment section of Omokri’s Instagram post, to beg for N50,000.

She wrote; ”Reno, pls hlp me with N50k if you can, to support my business, i’m a hairstylist, thanks, it will go a long way.”

However, the US-based author declined to help her, citing her approach as the reason.

Omokri explained that she called his name ”flippantly” and noted that people will unlock favour either with God or man if they use the right approach.

He then made reference to how people from the Yoruba tribe are so respectful in their approach whenever trying to request for something.

”Hard work does not bring wealth” – Reno Omokri says

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s ex-aide, Reno Omokri, has asserted that working hard does not guarantee that one will become wealthy.

According to the author and US-based pastor, what truly brings wealth in life is working smart and not the other way round.

He further noted that the term ‘hard work’ was invented by the elite to oppress the working middle-class.

Quoting a bible verse, Omokri said poverty should motivate people to work smart to evade the life of insufficient resources.

In his words; “Hard work does not bring wealth. That is a myth the upper class sold the working class to suppress them. So, what brings wealth? Smart work, not hard work. The smarter you work, the wealthier you get. The harder you work, the unhealthier you get.

Even Scripture says “If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success”-Ecclesiastes 10:10.

So, even if you are poor and people mock you over your poverty, don’t feel bad. Instead, let their mockery motivate you to work smart and succeed, until you get to the point where you are so successful that your workers earn more than your mockers!”

Never boast about your plans to others if you wish to succeed in life – Omokri

Nigerian author and socio-political critic, Reno Omokri has taken to social media to dish some words of advice on the need to be discreet especially when making life-changing plans.

According to the former presidential aide, the chance of failing at such plans may drastically increase when too many details are spilled to outsiders.

He stated this in a post on his Instagram page, while recounting how Angel Gabriel appeared to Zachariah ahead of Jon the Baptist’s birth.

In his words; “Never boast about your plans to others if you want your plans to materialise. While a fetus is in its mother’s womb, it can still be aborted or miscarried. That is why mothers wait for their babies to be born before they give them names. Do the same thing with your plans. Stop having the naming ceremony before the plan is birthed. Be like Zechariah.

Angel Gabriel told Zechariah the name of his son, then sealed Zechariah’s mouth until John the Baptist was born. It is not everything God has told you, or every idea or inspiration you get that you blab about.

Seal your mouth until it has come to pass or it may not come to pass. Or worse, those you tell may sell you into bondage, like Joseph’s brothers.”

Reno Omokri to lead protest to ”harrass” Buhari out of Paris

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri is set to lead a protest in Paris, France, to ‘harass’ President Muhammadu Buhari back to Nigeria.

He urged Nigerians in Paris to convene at the Temporary Exhibition Centre, in front of the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday for a peaceful protest.

The author and communications specialist earlier conducted a poll on his Facebook page soliciting the idea of Nigerians particularly the youths to ascertain whether to protest or allow President Buhari remain in France.

At the end of the poll, he concluded to embark on the protest after majority of his supporters opted in for the #harassBuhariOutOfParis.

Omokri made his decision known in a post on his official Facebook page.

“Do you love Nigeria? Are you based in Paris? Join us for the #HarassBuhariOutOfParis peaceful protest tomorrow, 12 noon, Paris Time, at the Temporary Exhibition Centre, in front of the Eiffel Tower.

“Muhammadu Buhari can’t be globetrotting, while Nigeria is drifting. Go back and fix Nigeria!

“Please do this for the love of Nigeria”, he wrote.

Recall that Omokri had initiated a protest in Abuja House, London, over a month ago during the president’s medical trip to the United Kingdom.

Reno Omokri urges Pentecostals to quit tearing down clergymen due to their sins

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri in a Twitter post has urged Pentecostals to desist from criticising their spiritual leaders due to their mistakes or sins.

The social media commentator and presidential aide to ex-president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan admonished Pentecostals to learn from Catholics.

In his post, Reno lauded the ability of Catholics to stand by their priests when caught in sins.

He maintained that why there is love among Catholics is due to the fact that they see a priest who is caught in sin as a wounded soldier; who needs backup and protections, rather than an average Pentecostalist, who will pour out a bowl of criticism on the face of his pastor when he is caught in the web of iniquity.

Read what he published on his Twitter page;
“One thing I admire in Catholics is that if a priest is caught in sin, they see him as a wounded soldier who needs protection. But Pentecostals will tear down pastors caught in sin.

A pastor is like a striker. Strikers are marked by the enemy more than other players”
