Actor and comedian Mr Macaroni has responded to the diatribe launched against some non-indigenes of Lagos state ahead of the 2023 general election.

In a tweet he shared, the comedian revealed that while his state of origin in Ogun state, he was born in Lagos and also lived all his life in the South-West state.

Mr Macaroni went on to ask those telling non-indigenes to leave or not to campaign in the state, if they are originally from Lagos.

He tweeted;

My state of Origin is Ogun. I was born and bred in Lagos. I have lived all my life in Lagos. Why are u suddenly asking me to go back to Ogun state? How many of you asking us to leave Lagos are even originally from Lagos? Election will come and go, But the people will remain!

Comedian, Mr Macaroni raises alarm over threat on his life for not supporting a ‘particular presidential candidate’

Comedian and skit maker, Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr. Macaroni, has said some persons have made threats on his life and his family because he refused to support a certain presidential candidate. Macaroni stated this on his Twitter handle. He however did not disclose the name of the presidential candidate.

According to him, Nigerians must elect the most suitable candidates to occupy various leadership positions in the country.

Comedian, Mr Macaroni finally confesses that he’s not married

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit-maker, Debo Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni has admitted that he is not married.

He made the confessionary statement via his official Twitter account on Tuesday, May 3, which also happens to be his birthday.

The content creator penned some words of thanks to fans and well wishers for all their birthday messages and decided to use the opportunity to clear the air on his purported marriage to Mummy Wa aka Kemz Mama.

It may be recalled that Macaroni set the internet abuzz when he shared engagement photos and wedding pictures with Kemz Mama on Saturday and Sunday respectively

Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Debo Adedayo better known as Mr Macaroni has set tongues wagging after he shared wedding-themed photos with colleague, Kemi Ikuseedun aka Kemz Mama (Mummy Wa).

Davido’s father bought me my first laptop ever, he inspired my generosity – Mr Macaroni

Nigerian Comedian and actor, Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni, has revealed that Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, bought him his first laptop ever.

The content creator, in a Twitter thread said that Mr Adeleke was one of his greatest inspirations, who taught him the act of giving and helping others.

Mr Macaroni wrote; “If you think Davido is a great giver or is easily accessible, then you need to meet his dad, Dr. Deji Adeleke. Dr. Adeleke is one of my greatest inspirations. Since the days of SDA Magodo, I learned the art of giving and helping others from him.

Nigerian On Air Personality, Dotun has made a case for some youth activists at the fore front of the #EndSARS campaign form a political party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

The hypeman and show host took to his Twitter account on Tuesday, October 19, to state that it will be a good feat if celebrities like Falz, Mr Macaroni and DJ Switch as well as activists, Rinu Oduala and Aisha Yesufu were to form a youth-centric political party.

According to him, the momentum and support that has been garnered under the banner of EndSARS would be a game changer if channeled to politics.

Dotun then concluded that there is a need for young Nigerians to come forth with a candidate for the presidential election.

Stop collecting money from politicians – Mr Macaroni urges celebrities

Nigerian comedian and activist, Debo Adebayo, known by his stage name, Mr Macaroni, has advised celebrities to quit collecting monetary bribes from politicians.

Macaroni made the call in a live Instagram video on Wednesday during the #EndSARS memorial car procession in memory of those who lost their lives at the Lekki tollgate in October 2020.

He urged his fellow entertainers to think about the millions of lives that are being ruined in the country whenever they want to collect bribes from corrupt leaders.

The actor said; “If you keep enabling the government by collecting money from them every time, think about millions of lives that your greedy decision will ruin.

If the government gives you 50 million or 100 million, think about what that money will do for millions of poor masses.

“People are seriously suffering in Nigeria. People are homeless, they don’t even know what their next meal will be. Think about them when you decide to extend your hands to collect bribes from our greedy politicians.

#EndSARS: Mr Macaroni lambasts celebs for ‘eating government money’ despite its unfair actions

Nigerian comedian, and activist, Debo Adebayo, known by his stage name Mr Macaroni, has berated his colleagues for being beneficiaries of the government, whom he claimed stifled activities of the #EndSARS anniversary.

Taking to his Instagram page on Friday, Macaroni spoke on how the government has clamped down on the events planned out one year after the protest.

The comedian further urged celebrities to consider government’s deeds and  state whether it is right of them to be interacting with government for the purpose of getting benefits.

My virginity is my pride – Comedian, Mr Macaroni replies those mocking him for still being a virgin

Nigerian comedian and actor, Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has taken to social media to reveal the type of woman he would give up his virginity to.

The 28-year old content creator stated this via his official Twitter page, while noting that he is proud of being a virgin.

Few weeks ago, he disclosed that he was still a virgin, and fans hailed him for his discipline and being bold enough to divulge such private information.

However, social media users have on different occasions stormed his comment section and DM, to make jest of him for proudly stating that he is a virgin.

But Mr Macaroni apparently got fed up with the jabs and decided to state that his virginity is his pride. He then revealed that he would give it to a woman who is deserving of it.

Comedian, Mr Macaroni, donates N500k to family of lady murdered during Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos

Nigerian comedian and social media content creator, Mr Macaroni, real name Adebola Adebayo has donated the sum of N500,000 to the family of the young lady identified as Jumoke Oyeleke, who was murdered during the Yoruba Nation rally in Lagos State.

Two Saturdays ago, the 25-year-old Jumoke was reportedly hit by a stray bullet while she was displaying goods at a shop some distance away from Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, the venue where agitators for an independent Yoruba nation were gathered.

On Saturday, July 17, the Nigerian comedian revealed on the social media platform, Twitter that he paid the deceased family a visit and gave them half a million naira.

Taking to Twitter, Mr Macaroni wrote;
“I visited the family of the late Jumoke Oyeleke; the 25yrs old that was killed during the Yoruba Nation Rally. They need all the support they can get right now. I have donated N500,000 today and I plead with all those who can to kindly support the family.”

The comedian then shared a fundraising link for the family, calling on all members of the public to donate.

He added that “As of the time of my visit, neither the government nor police force had taken responsibility. The family despite their state of mourning have been told to bear all responsibilities. This is heartbreaking.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command has since denied killing the 25-year-old lady.

Comedian, Mr Macaroni joins #June12 protesters in Lagos (Video)

Nigerian comedian and actor Debo Adebayo, also known as Mr Macaroni, has joined protesters at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in the Ojota area, the venue of the June 12 protest in Lagos State.

The protesters had earlier been dispersed by the police who fired tear gas canisters at them and also fired gunshots in the air.

They, however, converged again in front of a motor park approved by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation with placards, chanting “Buhari must go” and demanding good governance and end to insecurity in the country.

Addressing journalists, Mr Macaroni wondered why the President Buhari who contested presidential elections at least four times before he got to power, is the same person causing pains to Nigerians.

Ace Nigerian comedian Adebola Adebayo better known by his pseudonym, Mr Macaroni has urged youths in the country to prepare for the 2023 election.

Mr Macaroni in a social media post admonished youths to exercise their civic responsibility by registering for their voter’s card and preparing to elect new leaders into power.

Macaroni, one of the most outspoken entertainers in the country stated that youths should desist from being bystanders and mere onlookers.

Taking to Twitter, Macaroni wrote;

“Nigerian Youths, Time no dey ooo…

Even while we continue to use our voices and platforms to speak up, we must take voting seriously come 2023!!

We know say e no go easy oo but let’s make efforts!!

We must get our PVC and Vote!!!”

The social media continued;

“Nigerian Youths, we must wake up ooo.

In his concluding paragraph, Mr Macaroni told Nigerian youths to continue to fight for their fundamental rights by agitating against the corrupt government.

Instagram comedian, Mr Macaroni who was apprehended and thrown into a black maria yesterday at the Lekki Tollgate protest alongside 39 other #occupytollgate protesters, has released a video saying they were beaten and dehumanized by the Nigerian police.

He said he has bruises all over his body and was heading to the hospital to check himself. He also said both of his phones were smashed.

Macaroni has since been released and he is back home but said it was a traumatic experience.

Following his release after he was arrested by the police at the #OccupyLekkiTollgate protest, popular Instagram comedian, Mr Macaroni took to Twitter to plead for peace while stating that it is the duty of the government to protect Nigerians.

He said in his Tweet that the government is responsible for any insecurity in Nigeria.

The Hausa man is my brother, so is the Igbo man and The Yoruba man. We are all one. The Government and the Government alone is responsible for any insecurity in Nigeria and it is their duty to protect all Nigerians. I plead for peace. We will come back to my matter later.”

Mr Macaroni, other Lekki tollgate protesters have been granted bail.

Youths arrested by security operatives on Saturday, for demonstrating against the resumption of operations at the Lekki tollgate, have been granted bail.

The demonstrators had gathered on Saturday morning to protest against the decision of the Lagos judicial panel, which granted approval to the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) to resume operations at the tollgate.

Earlier, more than 100 officers, including personnel of the police force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), had been deployed to the tollgate on Friday evening, in line with the directive by the Lagos police commissioner that no protest would be allowed to hold.

More than 30 youths were arrested at the Lekki tollgate, venue of the protest, and arraigned before a mobile court in Yaba, Lagos.

They were taken away in police trucks and a “Black Maria” van, and escorted by security operatives away from the tollgate.

They were arraigned on charges bordering on flouting the COVID-19 protocol on public gatherings, and “breaking an order not to protest”.

 They were granted bail in the sum of N100,000 each, with sureties in like sum.

The arrest of the protesters has generated much criticism across social media platforms, with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) describing it as “a disrespect for the fundamental human rights of unarmed citizens”.

Popular Instagram Comedian, Mr. Macaroni was arrested by officers of the Nigerian police command on Saturday morning at Lekki Toll gate. it will be recalled that #OccupyLekkiTollgate protesters stormed the toll gate to protest against its re-opening.

The Toll Gate has been shut down for months following the killing of several #EndSARS protesters by Nigerian Soldiers. Omokri announced the development via a tweet on saturday evening;

Comedian, Mr Macaroni call on FG to release Nigerian students from #ASUUstrike.

Activist and comedian Mr Macaroni has called on Federal Government to rescue the Nigerians student from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

He made the calls while commenting on the recent release of Government Science Secondary School students from their captor.

Recalls that the ASUU strike has been lingering-on for more than eight months with every effort between the FG and the academic representatives deadlock.

His statement read;

“Now that our dear brothers in Kankara have been released, I call on government to secure the release of the Great Students of Nigeria from the dangerous hands of Asuu Strike!! Asuu Strike is a menace that is hindering the growth and development of our students. #EndAsuuStrikeNow”
