Mercy Eke gives response following accusation she lied about her age

Mercy Eke has reacted to the drama surrounding her real age.

The reality star took to Twitter over the weekend to share her voter’s card while calling on Nigerians to collect theirs.

She covered her age in the PVC but left her VIN and Twitter users used this information to search for her details on the INEC website.

Many users returned to the platform to accuse her of lying about her age after seeing on the INEC website that she is 32 years old.

On her last birthday in September 2022, Mercy had claimed to be 29 and her birthday post was reshared as Nigerians began calling her out for lying about her age.

Not bothered by the fuss about her age, she returned to Twitter today to quote-tweet her initial post.

A follower then called her out directly and she responded.

“But you’re close to 40 yrs old why you dey lie for us,” the follower wrote.

Mercy replied sarcastically: “I’m actually 52.”

Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke, has lamented over fame restricting her from showing off lavish things online.

The reality TV star stated that she hates the idea that she is enjoying a luxurious life but she cannot share it with fans and critics because of her status in society.

Mercy, in a post on her Snapchat account, consoled herself by noting that American reality star, Kylie Jenner does not show off on social media.

She wrote; ”Make una leave me ooooo….I wish I can show you guys all this f***ing beautiful spontaneous life… I mean life outside validation….

I’m too famous to post a lot of things and I hate it. Anyways Kylie doesn’t post more”

Reality TV star and brand ambassador, Mercy Eke has stated that getting her is one of the hardest tasks any interested man would undergo.

According to the Big Brother Naija ”Pepper Dem” winner in a video posted on social media, it is not easy to date her.

The Imo-born entrepreneur made the comment on an episode of her new reality show titled ‘Mercy What Next?’

Mercy further said that it’s not easy to “chill with her or get her attention” and added that she can’t be hidden in a relationship because she is a “golden fish”.

Uche Maduagwu speaks on rejecting N20 million offer to date Mercy Eke

Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has said he will never date Big Brother Naija ”Pepper Dem” winner, Mercy Eke.

He made this known in a post on his Instagram page, noting that he will not date Mercy even if he is offered N20 million.

According to Maduagwu, he is an A-list celebrity who gets N5 million to attend an event and he takes nothing less than two million to feature in a movie.

The social media critic stressed that he doesn’t care about Mercy Eke’s number of houses but only cares about her mature dressing. He then advised Mercy to dress the way she would want to be addressed and respect their culture.

Uche Maduagwu wrote: ”Even if dem beg me with 20 million naira to date Mercy, I will not agree. I am an A-List celeb, get paid 5 million just to attend events, and take nothing less than 2 million per movie, even if she buy ten houses, we no care, we only care about your mature dressing, madam dress the way you want to be addressed, respect our culture.”

Winner of Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem edition, Mercy Eke has reacted after a man on social media made a case for her wealth to be investigated.

Asides from winning BBNaija, Mercy has several businesses to her name, she’s the CEO of Lambo homes; a real estate company, she recently started her clothing line and opened a store in Lagos.

Meanwhile on her 28th birthday, the reality TV star showed off revealed that her birthday dress costs N1.8 million. This is also as the entrepreneur acquired her second house in a space of two years.

Reacting to Mercy’s achievement the man identified as Josh on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter noted that her finances would have been investigated in a saner clime.

He tweeted; “In a saner clime, Mercy Eke will be investigated but this is Nigeria, anything goes”.

On seeing his post Mercy quoted the tweet and simply wrote; “E choke?”

Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke has reacted to reports that she is legally married to an American man and would be soon relocating to the U.S. to live with him.

An Instagram blogger, Cutie Julls had earlier claimed that Mercy Eke has been married to the American citizen for a while now but kept her marriage a secret due to reasons best known to her.

However, while interacting with fans, the reality TV star dispelled the rumours as falsehood aimed at getting engagement.

The fan asked; ”Is it true you are married?” In response, Mercy told fans not to believe everything they see on social media.

Her words; ”WELL…. NO GO DE BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SEE OOOOOOO, ALL NA ENGAGEMENT THEM DE FIND.”

Winner of Big Brother Naija “pepper dem” season, Mercy Eke, has been accused of causing a rift in the marriage of Nigerian footballer, Aaron Samuel and his wife.

Popular blog, Gistlover alleged that Mercy is the mystery girl that made Samuel dump his wife, Chinwe.

According to the blogger, the Super Eagles player’s escapade was supposed to be a “one night stand” but their affair continued until the wife got wind of it.

Gistlover blog wrote; ”Hello tueh tueh, I bring to you that mysterious girl all blogs are talking about, Footballer Samuel Aaron and wife splits due on infidelity ground, The wife chi Aaron caught him cheating with Aunty Mercy Eke.

Big Brother Naija season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has revealed some of the things she had to do to survive before finally becoming successful.

According to the reality TV star, she sold corn and fuel and got involved in some other businesses.

Mercy revealed this in a close panel session at the 8th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (#NECLive8) over the weekend.

Sometimes it gets me very emotional to see how far I’ve come from where I started, from selling corn to fuel, to a lot of other businesses I did before.

I’m very proud of myself, and I know that there are a lot of people looking up to me,” she said.

The brand influencer also opened up about her struggles in a family of 6 and the fact that she auditioned four times before she got into the show.

Mercy said; “I auditioned four times before I got into the Big Brother House, but somehow I won the show, and I won the hearts of Nigerians and Africans”, Eke explained.

I work for everything I own today, maybe I’m not ‘blessed’ enough for people to just give me things for free. I can look back at my journey with pride, in spite of my rough childhood: I grew up in a family of 6, but somehow I was able to complete my tertiary education.

I’m very proud of myself, and I know that there are a lot of people looking up to me. Where I am today is through my hard work. I didn’t just win and rest on my oars, because I know that my journey has just started.”

Ever since her success of winning BBN season 4, she has been involved in so many deals and businesses. Her achievement so far has been obvious to fans via her social media platforms.
