Nigerian reality star Pere Egbi has stated on his Instagram stories that most men are unknowingly raising children who do not belong to them.
Speaking about paternity fraud, the Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eyes second runner up mentioned that men should be cautious so that they do not end up ‘getting played’ by their partners.
He added that most women are out to ‘ruin men’, therefore men need to thread with caution.
Pere wrote:
“Some men out here getting played fathering children who they don’t even know is theirs.”
He continued, “Wise Up! Some women are out here to ruin men.”
Multiple men storm radio station to call out a pastor for ‘snatching’ their wives, sisters and mothers
A group of men have gathered at the Human Rights radio in Abuja to accuse Pastor Harrison Anazodo Charles of Day Spring Assembly of allegedly snatching their wives, sisters and mothers.
Media Personality and Human rights activist, Ahmed Isah aka Ordinary President, revealed that the aggrieved men visited Brekete Family Radio studio to lay their complaint.
They accused the pastor of “stealing” over 50 married women from their husbands and offering accommodation to the married women.
Some of the men claim their wives left their homes to stay with the pastor and they took their children and the kids are now suffering abuse.
Other social media users who claimed to know the pastor of the church situated at an avenue by Orifite street Awada, Obosi, Anambra State, alleged that the story of him taking men’s wives is not new to those in the area.
One Twitter user wrote: “It’s true I know some of this gentle men. That’s the church my mother attends that broke our family it’s unfortunate my father is late he would have love to them in this protest.”

OAP Toke Makinwa bares thoughts on why attractive men date ‘ugly’ women
Controversial Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has made attempts to explain why she thinks most attractive men are in a relationship with women that she perceives as ugly.
She stated in a recent episode of her vlog that most handsome men rarely ask beautiful women out on a date because they think they are bombarded with affection from other men
Toke further opined that ‘ugly’ women are asked out more often because of the ‘inner beauty’ that they possess. She stated that these women have the propensity to maintain a relationship with their character and personality, while the beautiful ones are perceived as either being too busy or uptight.
In the concluding part of the episode, Makinwa admonished men to approach more beautiful women and make their intentions known. Toke also mentioned that she ‘wished she was born ugly.’

HIV more prevalent among unmarried men and women in Nigeria –NACA DG, Aliyu
The Director-General of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Dr Gambo Aliyu has disclosed that single men and women in Nigeria were the highest numbers of persons infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in the country.
However, he noted that according to a recent survey carried out by the agency, single women were more infected with HIV than men in the country
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Aliyu said while individuals who were never married contributed 64 per cent of the new infections in the country, new infections among female sex workers (FSW) and men who have sex with men (MSM) make up 91 per cent of all new infections among adults.
According to him, the younger generations who are never married do not use prevention and do not listen or want to have anything to do with HIV services.
“If we can reach them and connect them, we can come closer to reducing the pandemic. The younger people living with the virus need to be reached with services to curtail transmission among them and newborns.
“To reduce child infections due to mother-to-child transmission, we must go beyond the hospital and go to the communities to deliver services. We are working at hospitals and community levels. They now have more access. Expectant mothers who don’t go for antenatal service are now reached at the comfort of their homes,” he said.
Furthermore, Aliyu said NACA in collaboration with development partners is working tirelessly to develop strategies to stem the spread of HIV in the country.
Meanwhile, the report stated that the unmarried population, which is the youth, is the largest contributor to new infections, which is mostly between the ages of 17 to 34 for females, and 19 to 31 for men.
Also, the report stressed the need for special efforts to be made to reach the youth population in schools, workplaces, gathering spots, and especially through social media.
The report also noted that there were new infections through newborns due to low coverage of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT), noting that efforts will be targeted at encouraging women to attend Antenatal Care (ANC), especially in high prevalence states.
Also, it outlined that increased efforts should be put in, especially for the highest risk FSW and MSM, which have shown that even though the population is small, noting that despite the high levels of reported condom use, prevalence remains high among sex workers and MSM.
“Although there is a law against MSM in Nigeria, the law does not deny them access to services or restrain us from delivering service to them. They can assess our HIV services across the country,” the NACA report noted.
To this end, the Mode of Transmission Study (MOT) focuses on identifying the sources of new HIV infections in the country and was first conducted in 2009 and was recently repeated, using an updated model known as the Incidence Pattern Model (IPM).

A young lady has advised women to respect men owing to their roles in bringing humans into the world.
According to her, women think they are gods, but they are not. She believes that men deserve a great portion of the respect and admiration women get for birthing life.
The lady said men carry life, so without a man’s seed, women wouldn’t be able to take in and give birth to a child.
She also noted that it is not easy for women to carry a child in her womb for nine month but that shouldn’t be a reason to disrespect men because they are the real valuable gender.

South Africa considers new law that will allow women marry more than one husband
South Africa is considering a new law that will allow women marry more than one husband, in the same way that polygamous men are allowed to marry more than one wife.
The Department of Home Affairs which proposed the law in a 67-page policy document also called Green Paper on Marriages, stated that the current marriage act does not promote equality.
The policy document highlighted that the current marriage legislation is discriminatory as it does not recognise Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Rastafarian marriages. The policy document also called for polyandry to be legally recognised as a form of marriage.
The Green Paper proposed three new marriage regimes to bring equality in marriage laws. One of these options is a gender-neutral marriage regime.
It read; “This would accommodate both polygyny and polyandry
“…Therefore all marriages, whether monogamous or polygamous, could be concluded regardless of the sex or sexual orientation of the person.”
South Africa’s Ministry of Home Affairs appears to favour the option for a gender-neutral marriage regime that allows both polyandry and polygyny.
The Ministry wrote; “The political appetite of the country to confront the challenges of the current marriage statute will be tested through these options. However, if Section 9 of the Constitution was to be implemented in its entirety, option 3 will tick all the boxes.”
The Ministry however noted that the option for polyandry has ruffled feathers and South Africa’s traditional leaders have vociferously opposed the proposal, claiming that a woman being married to more than one husband is an “unacceptable practise because it is not of African origin.”
It added; “Ironically, stakeholders who believed in the practice of polygamy … were opposed to the practice of polyandry.
“This is the beginning of a crucial public discourse that will re-define the concept of marriage in South Africa.
“The process will unearth issues that may make some of us uncomfortable, but will encourage dialogue within the South African and international communities.”
South Africans have until the end of June to comment on the department’s proposals.
Four men who gang-raped married woman in front of her tied-up husband hanged in Iran
Four men who gang-raped a married woman in front of her husband whom they had tied up, were executed on Monday at the Mashhad Central Prison in Iran after a court had sentenced them to death.
Iran International TV reports that the men had gang-raped the woman who was a mountain climber in front of her husband after they tied his hands and feet together before attacking his wife in front of him.
The attack was said to have taken place while the woman and her husband were climbing a mountain in the Khorasan Razavi province in north-eastern Iran.
According to the Justice Organization for the area, the four rapists were later arrested by police following a report by the woman and her husband.
The rapists whose names were given as Ruhollah Javidi Rad, Mohammad Sayadi Baghansgani, Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad Watandoost, were identified by the city of Fariman’s police force and charged with the “kidnapping and rape of a woman and with threats of violence towards a man.”
The Criminal Court of Khorasan Razavi sent the case to the Supreme Court where the four men were sentenced to death by hanging.
While the men were sentenced in this case in Iran, rape victims are said to often face counter charges of adultery, indecency or immoral behaviour once they report a sexual assault to the police.
In the country’s legal system, consensual sex outside marriage is punishable by flogging, so a victim can be prosecuted if the authorities don’t believe her.
The threat of being charged with adultery, indecency and immoral behaviour in Iran for reporting sexual assault is said to often deter many women from reporting rape crimes against them.
Commenting on the number of assaults against women in Iran, a legal analyst at Iran International TV, Nargess Tavassolian said:
It is hard to say whether these types of crimes have increased in Iran but because of the widespread use of social media, these crimes are being more exposed.”
Iran is one of a handful of countries in the world to execute people found guilty of rape, and the Iranian regime executes more people per capita than any other country.

Married men have finished our condoms – Bauchi Committee
Married men in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State are now open to the use of childbirth spacing (CBS) commodities, particularly condoms, leading to the current out of stock of the commodity at the Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Kafin Madaki.
This was disclosed by the chairman, Ward Development Committee, Ganjuwa LGA, Mr Mustpha Ibrahim, during a facility visit to the PHC by members of Bauchi State Public Health Media Network on Monday.
According to Ibrahim, the development is an indication of the fact that husbands are now becoming more considerate in respect to quality and healthy family lifestyle.
“We as a committee have embarked on serious awareness creation among the people and the programme has been well accepted. Men now come out publicly to demand for supply of condoms to support their wives but unfortunately for now, the commodity is out of stock here.
“The (officer) in charge told me during a meeting with them that condoms finish first out of the other CBS commodities because men are coming in for the services,” the chairman disclosed.
He further informed that to demonstrate acceptance of CBS in the area, parents now accompany their children who want to marry for premarital counselling.
He attributed the acceptance and success of CBS in the local government area to efforts of volunteers who go for house to house counselling.
“CBS is well accepted because we have parents coming for premarital counselling with their intending couples.
“Our volunteers are conducting house to house sensitization for the success of CBS,” he said.
The WDC Chairman then appealed to the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BSPCHDA) to urgently supply CBS commodities, including condoms, to the Kafin Madaki PHC for people in the area to access the services in order to avoid unplanned pregnancies.
Addressing the members of the media network, the officer in charge of PHC, Kafin Madaki, Mr Sani Usman, informed that no fewer than 60 clients accessed childbirth spacing services monthly in the centre.
He, however, said the CBS commodities ran out of stock in the centre in the month of October, attributing the development to increase in number of clients.
“In October 2020, we were out of stock but this is because of an increase in the number of clients we recorded,” Usman, a Community Health Officer, informed.
According to him, “in the month, on the average, we had 23 new clients in one week.”
