BBNaija’s JMK called to Nigerian bar

Reality TV star, Jumoke Adedoyin, popularly known as JMK, has been called to the Nigerian Bar.

JMK shared the news via her Instagram page on Tuesday with pictures of herself dressed in the ceremonial wig and gown.

“Officially a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Z. J. Adedoyin Esq. LL.B (Hons), B.L (Hons),” the excited new wig wrote.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate said her new feat has strengthened her belief that she can be anything she desires.

“I can be JMK the reality tv star, JMK the CEO, and now JMK the BARRISTER! A multifaceted Esq, who sets her mind to anything and gets it done,” she said.

“It has proven to me that I can’t be tied down by people’s timeline and everything happens within God’s perfect plan. He perfected it as he always does and now I am certain I am only going to walk in the path he has created specially for me.

“I believe in myself, there are no limitations I have of myself in my mind, the possibilities of what I am and what I can be are endless. Grateful for the endless love and support of my family through this journey,” she said.

In light of her new status, the businesswoman also stated that she would now like to be referred to as “the law.”

During her time on the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition of the BBNaija show, JMK revealed in 2021 that she had made the difficult decision to pause her admission into the Nigerian Bar in order to participate in the winner-takes-all competition.

JMK, new housemate explains why she forfeited Call-To-Bar for Big Brother Naija

Jumoke Zainab Adedoyin, one of the newest Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eyes contestants, better known as JMK has revealed that she forfeited her Call-To-Bar to appear on the reality show.

The 23-year-old Kwara State native revealed that Big Brother Naija comes with immense opportunities.

JMK joined the competition on Sunday, August 8 alongside three others.

While speaking to her fellow housemate, Angel, in the room last night, JMK said she just took her bar exam and her results were good, but that the call to the bar ceremony and her entrance into the house clashed and that she chose the show over her call to the bar, because the opportunities that come with the show are huge.

In her words;

”I didn’t make it to bar.

It was either this…

I mean I can always do it.

My result came out well so I can always do the call to bar later.

So it was either I come for this or I miss this opportunity and just do the call to the bar.”

She continued;

It was tough for me.

I was loosing my sh*t in between what my my folks would think, after you spend six years and you did not make your call to bar? and me trying to make a decision for myself because the opportunities that come with this is huge.”
