Pandemonium broke out at the popular Alaba International market in Lagos this morning October 19, as traders clashed with area boys.
Unconfirmed reports claim the traders are against the unnecessary demand of money by the area boys also known as Agberos in the area.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, says the police are working to restore order in the area.
Some persons injured in the fracas have been taken to the hospital for treatment. See photos below
Nigerian singers, Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay seem to have settled their differences months after their heated fight in a salon.
Tiwa Savage hinted this via her verified Instagram page as she shared a post Seyi Shay made about her hit song ‘Somebody’s Son’.
Tagging Seyi with a laughing smiley, Tiwa wrote: “Thanks to everyone that came out to support, love you all.”
Recall that in June, Tiwa and Seyi Shay were involved in a fight at a salon in Lagos.
Seyi Shay had walked up to Tiwa to exchange pleasantries, a move that did not go well with Tiwa.
According to the mother of one, she had not forgotten what Seyi and Victoria Kimani did to her in the past.
Recall that Seyi Shay and Victoria in 2019 released their covers of Kizz Daniel’s hit song, ‘F**k You’, where they had both dissed Tiwa Savage.
Following the dramatic turn of events Big Brother Naija ”Lockdown” reunion, Lucy has tendered an apology to her bestie, Ka3na and acknowledged her wrongdoing.
Recall that the duo were very close friends during and after the reality TV show but they later fell out and Ka3na claimed she cut Lucy off because she felt she was disloyal.
It got intense during a reunion episode that at a point, Ka3na walked out as she could not contain her emotions while speaking on how she fell out with Lucy.
Well, Lucy has now appreciated Ka3na for always having her back, being a good friend, adding that even blood relatives fight.

There was drama on Thursday at a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, as the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) approached the court seeking to take over the case against the former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, on criminal charges of a threat to the life of his mistress, Chinyere Amuchienwa.
The court had earlier slated Thursday for the arraignment of the former governor but a counsel from the office of the AGF, Bagudu Sani, approached the Court, saying the office of the AGF had taken over the case by a letter dated March 17, 2021, which he said had been served on the IGP.
According to Sani, the office of the AGF took over the case from the IGP to ensure that the prosecution was done diligently.
However, counsel for the police, Rufus Dimka, opposed the taking over of the case by the office of AGF, noting that the charges against the former governor were prepared by the office of the IGP, who is the complainant in the case.
In response, Justice Taiwo Taiwo told Sani that he had taken judicial notice of the letter but maintained that the counsel should file the letter formally before the court.
He deferred the arraignment of the former governor to May 6, 2021, to enable parties to file and serve written addresses on the property of the office of the AGF taking over the case from the Police.
Ohakim has been on police administrative bail since November 11, 2020, when he and one Chinedu Okpareke were dragged to court by the police over allegations of threat to life and the harassment of Amuchienwa.
According to the charge number, FHC/ABJ/CS/287/2020, Ohakim and Okpareke were alleged to have threatened to release a nude photograph of Amuchienwa if she fails to drop charges of attempted kidnap against them.
The Police in the five counts dated November 25, 2020, alleged that Ohakim and Okpareke, knowingly and intentionally transmitted communication through a computer system to harass and bully Amuchienwa, an offence that is punishable under Section 24(1)(a) of the Cybercrime Act 2015.
The former mistress of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, Autumn Spikes, has opened up on how he ‘insulted’ her by offering her a ‘paltry’ sum of $15,000 for her to keep quiet over their affair that became public after she shared a viral video clip showing her seated beside Dangote who was lying down on the same couch, with part of his buttocks exposed.
Dangote had reportedly ended the over 10 years old affair and had gone ahead to ask Spikes to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) which he said she breached by leaking the video which exposed the businessman and brought undue negative publicity to him.
The African-American was reacting to a lawsuit filed against her by Dangote at a Miami-Dade County Court in Florida, United States of America, where he demanded an “excess of $30,000 from her as damages for libel, cyber stalking, defamation of character and breach of agreement to keep their relationship private and off the social media.”
He also stated in the lawsuit that Spikes demanded the sum of $5 million in exchange for the Non-Disclosure Agreement to keep her mouth shut.
In the lawsuit, Dangote used the pseudonym John Doe, aka AD, apparently an acronym for his names, Aliko Dangote, in “order to avoid unnecessary publicity designed to impair his right to privacy and to coerce his payment of money he does not owe Autumn Spikes,” according to his lawyer.
Part of the court document filed on January 22, titled ‘Complaint petition for declaratory judgment complaint for (about) extortion petition for injunctive relief,’ stated that Dangote’s “business acumen has made him a target for coercion by the defendant.”
It added that Spikes demanded “meritless claims of $5 million” in the nature of “palimony to which she is not legally entitled.”
“Palimony is an amount of money a law court orders someone to pay regularly to a former partner whom they were living with but were not married to.
“Autumn Spikes has made a demand that the plaintiff pays her five million dollars ($5,000,000.00) as shown in Exhibit 1.”
However, in a post on her Instagram page with the handle @allarounda1 on Wednesday, Spikes said Dangote offered her a ‘paltry’ $15,000 and $2,500 monthly as well as putting pressure on her to sign the first NDA to ‘hush her.’
“I was insultingly offered $15,000 and $2,500 a month to sign an NDA but I declined,” Spikes stated in the post.
“I gained legal counsel in which we countered his offer. Mind you, his first initial offer wasn’t disclosed in the terms of his proposed NDA.
“Therefore I was pressured and influenced to sign which was already a violation of his own NDA.”
Spikes who shared parts of the court documents filed by Dangote on the Instagram page, denied threatening the billionaire businessman with blackmails on the social media or through media talk shows as claimed by his lawyers in the lawsuit.
She maintained that she had kept her affair with Dangote private and expressed surprise that she could be sued for extortion by the wealthy businessman.
“He denied knowing me and our relationship to his lawyers and we’re asked for proof of our affair… now I’m being sued for extortion?
“This is such a manly egotistical move. I’ve kept it private but you made it public with the lawsuit.
“All these claims of interviews and talk show threats will have to be proved in court so… & I haven’t spoken to anyone regarding our relationship.
“I have not been served. Since this is a public record, let’s discuss it. What are your thoughts? Dangote’s suit will be dismissed.”
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, said on Tuesday the upper legislative chamber would not fight President Muhammadu Buhari over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria to please critics of the administration.
Lawan, who stated this when he received a delegation from Adamawa State in Abuja, said President Buhari is doing everything possible to address the problem of insecurity in the country.
He commended the military for restoring peace in parts of Nigeria, saying the spate of insecurity across states was gradually being reversed.
Lawan said: “Those of us in positions of leadership today are probably more challenged than any set of leaders. We need to pray, but we also need to act, work hard and apply ourselves fully and work committedly to ensure that we serve Nigerians.
“Nothing is impossible; this situation of insecurity gradually is being reversed. I am particularly happy with recent developments about our armed forces. They are doing better than they were doing before.
“I’m sure the economy will also start to improve, and we will get out of the recession that we entered last month. With the implementation of 2020 budget up till the end of March, and of course, the start of the implementation of 2021 budget, the economy will receive a boost.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced plans for tougher laws to tackle what he called “Islamist separatism” and defend secular values.
In a keenly awaited speech, Mr Macron said a minority of France’s estimated six million Muslims were in danger of forming a “counter-society”.
His proposals include stricter oversight of schooling and control over foreign funding of mosques.
He had been under pressure to address radical Islam amid security fears.
But his comments were condemned by some Muslim activists who accused him of trying to repress Islam in the country.
Under France’s strict principles of secularism, or laïcité, the government is separated by law from religious institutions. The idea is that people of different religions and beliefs are equal before the law.
The country also has the largest population of Muslims in Western Europe. Many complain the authorities use secularism to specifically target them, for instance in banning the hijab.
Speaking outside Paris on Friday, Mr Macron said radical Islam was a danger to France because it held its own laws above all others and “often results in the creation of a counter-society”.
He said this form of sectarianism often translated into children being kept out of school, and the use of sporting, cultural and other community activities as a “pretext to teach principles that do not conform to the laws of the republic”.
“Islam is a religion that is in crisis all over the world today, we are not just seeing this in our country.”
The measures announced by the president will form legislation that will go to parliament before the end of the year.

Muslims in France have roundly condemned the violence, and some reacted angrily to Mr Macron’s proposals on Friday.
