President Buhari congratulates Navy boss at 57

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, on his 57th birthday.

In a statement by his media aide, Femi Adesina, on Saturday in Abuja, President Buhari rejoiced with family, friends and professional colleagues of the CNS, who has consistently posted distinctions in service to the nation.

Mr Buhari noted the profile of dedication and commitment of the CNS, who served in many capacities, including operations of NNS Ambe, NNS Damisa, NNS Ayam, and Nigeria’s Defence Attaché in Luanda, Angola.

Mr Gambo also acted as director, defence affairs in the office of the National Security Adviser.

The president extolled Mr Gambo for his steadfastness and selflessness in handling responsibilities, working for many years as director, simulation, naval doctrine and assessment centre, Lagos, and chief staff officer, at the Naval Training Command in Lagos,Mr Gambo was also director, procurement, defence space administration, before his appointment as the CNS.

President Buhari prayed for the well-being of the CNS and that of his family.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has taken to Instagram to celebrate her husband, Mathew Ekeinde, on his birthday.

The actress who noted that it’s their 27th anniversary, wrote;

Lola Omotayo celebrates former sister-in-law Anita Okoye

Lola Omotayo has made it clear that Anita Okoye will always be her sister even though she is separated from Paul Okoye.

Lola took to Instagram today to celebrate Anita on her birthday. In the caption, she called Anita her “always-will-be-sister”.

Lola and Anita have remained cordial, even when their husbands, twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye, were fighting.

Anita and Paul Okoye are now in the process of getting a divorce but Lola has retained her bond with Anita.

Singer Davido and his lover, Chioma Rowland, have taken to social media to celebrate their son, Ifeanyi, as he turns three today October 20.

Posting lovely photos of Ifeanyi, Davido wrote;

Buhari celebrates juju maestro, Sunny Ade, at 76

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Tuesday, celebrated juju music maestro and multi-instrumentalist, Sunday Adegeye, better known as King Sunny Ade, who turns 76 on September 22.

Buhari’s congratulatory message is contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, titled ‘President Buhari hails King Sunny Ade at 76.’

According to Adesina, “President Buhari rejoices with the internationally renowned artiste, who is the first Nigerian to be nominated for Grammy in the 80’s, playing a significant role in the huge success of the country’s music industry, with influence across genres, including Hollywood, where his songs were featured in many movies.

“As the talented guitarist turns 76, the President extols the gifted songwriter, producer and visiting professor of music at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife for taking Nigeria’s local beats to the world, exporting the rich culture and placing instruments like the ‘talking drum’ on global spotlight for research and adaption.”

Buhari noted that the recognitions and awards—including the national award, Member of the Federal Republic—the multi-talented entertainer has received over the years are well deserved.

He, therefore, prayed for his good health, strength and grace of more creativity.

Britney Spears wishes sons happy birthday amid strained relationship

Britney Spears has wished her sons Preston and Jayden a happy birthday despite their recent estrangement.

The singer shares the teens, Preston, 17, and Jayden, 16, with her ex Kevin Federline.

Sharing photos of her and her sons which she said were taken last year, she wrote on Instagram:

“Happy birthday Preston and Jayden!!! Love you both so much!!! These photos are from last year !!!”

The birthday wish comes just weeks after Jayden granted an interview corroborating his dad’s claim that he and his brother don’t want to see their mum again.

In his interview, Jayden also took his grandparents’ side after they received heat from Britney for the 13-year conservatorship she blames them for.

After Jayden’s interview, a heartbroken Britney said something in her has “died”.

To further compound matters, neither of Britney’s sons attended her wedding to Sam Asghari.

But Britney put all that behind her to celebrate them on their birthday.

Tinubu hails PFN President at 66

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has described the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Bishop Wale Oke, as a selfless leader and promoter of peace.

Tinubu, in a goodwill message by his media aide, Tunde Rahman, to the cleric on the occasion of his 66th birthday on Friday, said the presiding bishop of Sword of the Spirit Ministries International, also promoted national unity and harmony among people of different faiths and beliefs.

The former Lagos State governor said Nigerians would continue to benefit from the wisdom and foresight of Oke, as the leader of the Pentecostal movement in Nigeria.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, celebrated the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Mathew Kukah, on his 70th birthday.

In a Twitter thread, Obi hailed Kukah for his consistency in speaking against injustice, corruption and other forms of evil in the society.

Soludo’s Wife Visits Hospital, Orphanage To Mark Birthday.

The First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has visited the hospital and orphanage home in Awka to donate foodstuff and relief materials as part of activities to mark her birthday.

She was accompanied by her husband, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr Paschal Agbodike, Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo and others.

They paid a visit to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku-Awka and Model Community Children’s Home, Ifite-Awka.
