Tiwa Savage is yet to apologise to us. I don’t see why people are standing with Tiwa Savage over an act of senselessness.

“I understand she might end up being depressed if the people who are standing with her speak against her but insofar as we don’t want anything negative to happen to her we mustn’t support that Senseless act.”

Okowa’s aide critiquing those supporting Tiwa Savage Said recording a s*x tape in the first place is an act of abnormality which has affected young people negatively.

A lot of our young people look up to her and she ends up disappointing everyone. As she is bold to accept the S** tape, she should be proud to apologize to us.

“It is an act of abnormality. By now, The video must have affected our young ones negatively,” the post read.

Bella Shmurda apologizes to Seyi Law for missing his show

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Bella Shmurda has apologized to comedian, Seyi Law for missing his show in Ekiti on Sunday.

The musician cited a misunderstanding as the main reason behind this.

Seyi Law had booked Bella perform at his show in Ekiti on Sunday, the 20th of June 2021.

However, the singer claimed not to be aware of the arrangement, and his label issued a disclaimer. Seyi Law responded to the disclaimer by posting the photo of the person who was paid for the appearance.

He wrote; ”Prior to the disclaimer released by Bella Shmurda, I had paid Yemi-Oyedele Tobi whose picture appears here part-payment for Bella Shmurda to perform at my show on the 20th of June at Ado-Ekiti and now, Bella’s management has refused to recognize the payment made before their disclaimer and even rejected plea to accept a new negotiation.

I am officially putting this out here before I involve the necessary authority. Thanks. The show is loaded, we just wanted a bit extra excitement, notwithstanding the show goes on. SEYI LAW.”

Bella, in response, shared this apology via his Twitter fan page on Monday, the 21st of June 2021.

He stated that he respected Seyi Law as a veteran in the industry and would never disrespect his hard work or work ethic.

He also went on the explain that the comedian’s team booked him through someone who no longer works for him, The singer also appreciated Ali Baba and ID Cabasa for trying to settle the issue.

He wrote; ”Before I proceed to setting facts straight, I want to sincerely apologize to my Egbon Seyilaw. I greatly respect him, his work and his brand and will not intentionally disregard him.

I hope we can settle this amicably and go back to doing amazing work as Entertainers together. On the 13th of June, 2021 (last week), my booking manager informed me that Egbon Seyilaw called to state that he made payment to Tobi Oyedele pka Jiggy, a former member of my team for a show at Ekiti for 20th June 2021. On the 13th of June, 2021 (last week), my booking manager informed me that Egbon Seyilaw called to state that he made payment to Tobi Oyedele pka Jiggy, a former member of my team for a show at Ekiti for 20th June 2021.

It is popular knowledge that I am currently working on a project and stopped taking show bookings for mid-June till the release date of my project as I already had some commitments for these dates and needed to focus the remaining time on my project. As these plans were already made for these dates long before now, and Egbon’s show was only brought to my attention a week ago, there was little within my power that I could do to honor his commitment, despite the efforts of my team and I.

I also want to restate- like I did some time back in March- that Seun Orekoya pka Pumping Sneh (@pumpingsneh) should be contacted for any bookings. I never at any time held Jiggy out as the person to receive payment or take bookings on my behalf and this continues to be so. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to egbon Seyilaw. I also want to thank my Egbons @ALIBABAGCFR and @Real_Idcabasa for trying to help resolve this issue.

Thank you, Sirs.

Love always,

Bella Shmurda.”

In surprise move, Oshiomhole apologises to Gov Obaseki

Former Governor of Edo State and immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has apologised to incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for any problems their rivalry may have caused.

This followed the recent victory of Obaseki at the Supreme Court which cleared him of alleged certificate forgery.

In a surprise letter addressed to Obaseki on Monday, Oshiomole regretted the crisis that the court case filed by the APC candidate in the 2020 governorship election, Pastor Ize Iyamu, had caused in the state, calling it an unfortunate occurrence which should not have happened.

While congratulating Obaseki, Oshiomole urged him to be magnanimous in victory as governor of all Edo people, regardless of political leanings.

Congratulations on your victory at the Supreme Court which has effectively laid to rest all matters arising from the last election,” part of the letter reads.

“As I had repeatedly reminded you during our several meetings, our relationship has through the years developed beyond being friends to being brothers of different parents.

“Whatever happened was unfortunate and I believe God has a reason for everything.

I have put all behind me and moved on. As I have consistently advised, please be magnanimous in victory.

“You are the governor of all Edo people regardless of political leanings.

“Once again, congratulations, Excellency! Please, accept the renewed assurances of my very best wishes and high regards.”

In the build up to the last election in the state, Oshiomhole and his then political godson, Obaseki had fallen out, a situation that pushed Obaseki to leave the APC, and pitched his tent with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) under which he won his re-election bid.

Preacher, Laurie Idahosa apologizes for saying Pete Edochie’s Mum was raped for marrying at the age of 15

Preacher, Laurie Idahosa, has issued a public apology to Pete Edochie after she stated that the veteran actor’s mother was a victim of rape as well as a child bride; following his statement about his mum marrying his 40-year-old dad at the age of 15.

Mrs Idahosa had likewise reacted to the recent interview granted by Pete Edochie; where he disclosed that his dad who was 40 years old, married his mum when she was 15 years; adding that she was also shy all through their marriage.

The veteran actor, Pete Edochie in the interview said;

My mother was not educated.

She was not in love with my father.

My father was almost 40 when his uncle told him it was time he got married.

He told them to get a wife for him.

My uncle went out to a neighboring village and told them the teacher wanted to get married. The women came out.

He looked around and picked one and that was it.

He brought this 15-year-old who didn’t have the courage to look at my father. She gave him ten children and was still shy. Seven boys and three girls” he said.

Pastor Idahosa was appalled by his comment and thus left her remarks on Instagram. She wrote;

How can he laugh about her being “shy?”

Oga, she was not shy.

She was a victim of rape and was a child bride. She wasn’t respectful of his age, she was afraid for her life.

Know the difference and adjust this story… start telling the truth!”

The preacher had received some harsh criticisms for her comments.

However, Laurie Idahosa has now apologised for her comment, stating that it was misinterpreted.

Watch a video of her apology below.

Sunday Igboho apologises to Ooni over comments

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly called Sunday Igboho, has apologised to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi over comments he made during a virtual town hall meeting with Yoruba in Diaspora.

Ripples Nigeria reported that Igboho, who has been in the forefront of efforts at dislodging criminal elements amongst herdsmen from the Ibarapa area of Oyo State, during the meeting said that the Ooni, along with other Yoruba leaders have failed in speaking truth to power.

However, Igboho, in another video, apologised to the revered traditional ruler, saying he didn’t mean to disrespect him.

He said: “I apologise if it is perceived as a disrespect.

“I apologise to Yorubas at large, I have spoken with the Ooni and I am not fit to disrespect his royal majesty.

“On kidnapping and invasion of the Yorubaland, we must all stand up to it. We must prove that we have gallant and patriotic people in the southwest.

“There are many powerful people, more powerful than I am in Lagos, Ibadan, Osun and other areas, we cannot afford to fold our arms and put the Yoruba nation into shame.”

On what led to the disparaging comments on the Ooni, Igboho said: “When the Ooni visited President Muhammadu Buhari, some said he went to receive money on my behalf and that is a blatant lie, I didn’t receive money from anybody, I am not working for any politician, it is for the love of the Yoruba nation.”
