The two siblings involved in the murder of a makeup artist, identified as Ijeoma Neke, in Enugu have been arrested.
Recall that the lady with Instagram page @wake_n_makeup, was last seen on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, after she left home for a job, which she never returned.
According to reports, she asked to know the venue for the job but was simply instructed to meet the client at a bus stop in Enugu.
After, the client picked her up from the bus stop and was taking her to the job venue, the makeup artist reportedly felt something was wrong and immediately texted the client’s number to her brother. That was the last time Ijeoma’s family heard from her.
People started raising alarm on social media few days after she didn’t come back as the search for her begun.
Unfortunately, after the missing person’s report started going viral, she was reportedly found dead around Maryland, Enugu and it was claimed that she had been doused with acid.
Friends of the deceased took to social media to call for justice for Ijeoma and fortunately, the culprits (a sister and her brother) have been arrested and charged with her murder.
The siblings identified as Ifezue Chiamaka and Ifezue Emeka were arraigned for the murder of Ijeoma, at Enugu State Magistrate Court on Wednesday, Feb 3.
It was gathered that Chiamaka allegedly lured Ijeoma to her home by inviting her for a makeup job. She then after conspired with her brother to kill Ijeoma for allegedly having an affair with her boyfriend.
On her arrival, Ijeoma suspected a fouland sent a message to her friend, before being forced to drink a poisoned substance. The two siblings then allegedly poured acid on Ijeoma.
A witness at the court said he saw Emeka Ifezue pour acid on the body of Ijeoma after they dumped her body at the Maryland axis of Enugu Metropolis.
The boyfriend was also present in court and was willing to testify against the siblings.
The case has been adjourned till February 24, 2021.
