BBNaija: Pere’s handler refutes allegations that he “beat his ex-wife till she had a miscarriage”

BBNaija: Shina Ya Eye housemate, Pere’s handler has debunked claims that the former HoH was violent to his ex-wife in his previous marriage.
Recall that a tweep had shared a tweet some days back alleging that Pere once assaulted his ex-wife till she had a miscarriage.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Pere’s handlers stated that the reality TV star has never been violent all his life.

The statement reads;

“Over the past week, a number of media outlets published materials containing false allegations that aim to damage the reputation of Pere.
In those publications, he was falsely accused of being abusive in his personal life. They attached a false image of an individual just to make their case look legit. The said materials make baseless speculations as to who Pere is as an individual.
Pere has never been violent all his life and the image being portrayed was a picture with his friend, a colleague who’s happily married. These types of false information do not affect Pere alone but the innocent friend who’s just showing support to him.”

The statement then says legal action will be taken against the media outlets that published the false report about the housemate.

“We’re currently taking legal steps to each media platform that are involved in this defamation of character. A defamation matter is defined in section 373 of the criminal code as a matter likely to injure the reputation of any person by exposing him to hatred, contempt or ridicule, or likely to damage any person in his profession or trade by injury to his reputation,” the statement read.

Man becomes Canadian citizen after six years, says leaving Nigeria was worth it

A Nigerian man, Tunde Omotoye has become a citizen of Canada after years of hard work and dedication.

According to him, he left Nigeria six years and 7 months ago and the decision was worth it as he has finally become a Canadian citizen.

On August 16, he took the oath of citizenship, and shared a photo of himself the country’s flag colours in the background.

He shared a back story of how he was struggled during his early days as a student in the North American nation, before finally

Tunde wrote; ”This morning, I officially became a Canadian Citizen after taking the ‘Oath of Citizenship’.

It’s been 6yrs 7months since I embarked on the bravest journey of my life to come study here (many know this story). Today, I am glad that journey was worth it.

I still remember that cold winter breeze that blew my face when I stepped out of Pearson as a broke student.

The days of working factory jobs to pay for certification and complete tuition.

The days of numerous internship applications and job interviews.

I remember them all.

I am thankful to this country for the numerous opportunities it has provided since day one.

I am mostly glad that I can now vote and be voted for. I can now add to its political landscape.

To everyone reading this, just want to let you know that immigrating to a new country isn’t as easy as it may seem. Either via study/permanent residency.

There’s the emotional, psychological and financial aspect of it that majority of new immigrants have to deal with.

To add, I used to think that being Canadian will make me less Nigerian, but honestly I have never been more wrong.

I celebrate not just being a Canadian and having a new home, but having two countries to call mine.

Finally, in 2015, I embarked on the bravest journey of my life. This is not to encourage anyone to follow this same pathway, yours might be a different one form mine, but whatever it is I hope it works out for you.

P.S: Thank you all for the congratulatory messages.”

“The most painful was when she stole my N3 million and squandered it.

Because of her habit, I started keeping my money in the ceiling but she will still enter the ceiling and steal it.

BBNaija S6: Whitemoney’s response to Pere’s confrontation was staged, says Saga

Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye housemate, Saga, has speculated that Whitemoney’s response to Pere’s confrontation on Monday night was staged.
In a discussion with Nini on Wednesday night, Saga said Whitemoney’s response showed that the latter has studied the BBNaija game very well and has set strategies in place.
Recall that Pere and Whitemoney had a clash on Monday night over a question asked during the whispering game played by the housemates.
After the game, Pere had confronted Whitemoney in a way that the latter described as ‘belittling’ and Whitemoney became pissed and had an outburst.
Whitemoney had said, “I know you don’t like me, I know you don’t love me but no problem, let’s have a healthy competition. Regardless, I’ll still kill you with kindness because I like you.”

Referring to Whitemoney’s response, Saga said, “I don’t trust Whitemoney. Everything he did that day was staged. Everything he said was perfect. Whitemoney is one person that knows this game very well.
“He has dominated the game because he has auditioned four times. So he has watched it and he knows. He has been watching it from Big Brother Africa so he knows what he’s doing.”

Then Nini said, “As for me, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m just being myself. I didn’t come with any strategy.”
In response, Saga confirmed that his position was the same as Nini’s.
Whether his words were planned or not, Whitemoney had earlier revealed to Big Brother that he was still traumatised by Pere’s confrontation.

Man gets his wife arrested for buying stolen baby after faking pregnancy for 9 months

A Kenyan man has handed his 25-year-old wife to the police for faking a pregnancy and later buying a baby to pretend she had given birth.

31-year-old Wesley Rono from Ogilgei area in Kuresoi North Constituency, Nakuru County, who has been married to Patricia for five years without a child, said he was excited about the pregnancy report only to discover later that she was faking it.

“When my wife broke the news to me in December 2020 that she was expecting our first child, I was very excited. However, soon afterwards, I noticed she was stuffing clothes around her belly to give an impression that she was expectant,” said Rono.

Speaking to Standard Media, the farmer and small-time businessman said he chose to play along like a fool to see the end motive.

Whenever I wanted to touch her belly to feel the baby bump, my wife would get angry. She wouldn’t even allow me to touch or come close to her,” he narrated.

Even though he already knew that his wife wasn’t pregnant, Rono said he provided everything his wife asked for during the nine-month period.

“She used to say she is going for pregnancy check-up in Kericho. I gave her money every time she needed it. This included money to go for the fake prenatal clinics, and also money to buy clothes for the baby and other essentials.”

After nine months of her fake pregnancy, Patricia requested money from her husband to go and give birth at Kericho Hospital on August 8, 2021.

Rono says he gave her the money and after a few hours she informed him that she had given birth to a bouncing baby boy.

She left by herself promising to call and update me about the delivery progress. I was shocked when she called later in the evening telling me that she had delivered a baby and was already at Chepseon trading centre on her way back home. My wife’s audacity stunned me even more. Even the strongest woman in the world cannot have the strength to immediately wake up from the maternity bed after 30 minutes of giving birth and board a public vehicle to return home,” he said.

Rono said he sat back and waited for his wife to bring the baby home but she decided to go to her paternal home in Londiani, Kipkelion East Constituency, to ”recuperate” for a few days.

She finally showed up four days later carrying a baby boy in her arms.

When I arrived home that evening, I found her with the baby who didn’t look like a four-day-old child,” Rono said.

That’s when Rono decided to end the nine-month show by reporting the case at Kericho police station on August 12.

“The entries in the prenatal book were forgeries. My wife had tried to fool me, which is unforgivable,” Rono added.

Mrs Rono confessed that she was barren and that the baby, now in the custody of Kericho Police Gender officers, was not her biological child. She had heard from villagers about an old woman in Kiptororo village who sells children.

“I visited her and told her of my wish. She asked for Sh50,000 to give me a baby,” she said.

The wife said she paid a Sh2,600 deposit the day she visited the suspected child trafficker at her home.

Since Mrs Rono didn’t have cash, the woman agreed to exchange the baby with a tea seedling worth the amount.

And when police officers visited the suspect’s home, they noticed she had recently planted tea on a portion of her land. The suspect is also said to be notorious for procuring abortions in the village.

Mrs Rono told the police that she supplied the woman with the tea seedlings on August 10, and thereafter, picked the three-week-old baby at night.

“What forced me to do it was just a desire to have a baby I can call my own and save my marriage,” she said.

Mrs Rono said she knew of her barrenness in 2015 after a visit to a gynaecologist.

“In 2018, I underwent medical operations to unblock my fallopian tubes, but still I couldn’t conceive. I had no option but to resort to doing what I did,” she said.

Mrs Rono confirmed her husband’s claims that she had stuffed her belly to fake a pregnancy.

“I got the prenatal booklet during my first visit to a local dispensary. After the nurse filled in the primary information, I did not wait for a medical examination that confirms the pregnancy. I left the facility with the booklet, and I have been filling it by copying notes from another woman’s booklet,” she said.

A joint raid by police officers from Kericho and Kuresoi police stations failed to arrest the suspected child trafficker. The suspect’s phone was traced to Kisii County. Her daughter, who was at home, did not want to be questioned.

“We don’t know who you are and what you want. Leave us alone, we don’t want to be disturbed,” she said.

Also at the compound was a weakly young woman who claimed that she was the suspect’s granddaughter.

The suspect had called her in the midst of the raid inquiring about the officers’ business and whether they were still around.

Kericho County Criminal Investigations Officer John Onyango said they were working with their Kuresoi counterparts to pursue the suspect since the area falls under their jurisdiction.
