Nigerian music act, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable has bragged about being an expensive artiste who costs more than a house.

He shared a video of himself showing off wads of foreign currency and said that he works hard to make money legitimately so he will continue to post it online with pride.

Portable, who is highly controversial and popular, described himself as a superstar and hero. He also addressed those that may be suspecting he is into fraud, saying that the money he is showing off is not from scam.

The Zazuu star who said he makes music for a living, reiterated that he hustles legitimately and he will continue to brag about it as frequently as possible.

White Money wins Most Influential Youth of The Year award

Winner of Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season, White Money, born Hazel Onou has bagged an award for the Most Influential Youth of The Year 2022.

Organisers of the Cool Wealth Award 5.0, presented the reality TV star with a plaque during a recognition visit.

He was absent during the award ceremony which held few months ago, so a team recently met White Money and presented him with a certificate alongside the plaque.

The Coolwealth Award shared a video on its Instagram page where the singer extended some words of appreciation to his fans.

Comedian, Mr Macaroni finally confesses that he’s not married

Popular Nigerian comedian and skit-maker, Debo Adedayo also known as Mr Macaroni has admitted that he is not married.

He made the confessionary statement via his official Twitter account on Tuesday, May 3, which also happens to be his birthday.

The content creator penned some words of thanks to fans and well wishers for all their birthday messages and decided to use the opportunity to clear the air on his purported marriage to Mummy Wa aka Kemz Mama.

It may be recalled that Macaroni set the internet abuzz when he shared engagement photos and wedding pictures with Kemz Mama on Saturday and Sunday respectively

However, while sharing a photo of himself on his 29th birthday, he confessed to not being married

Seven students storm the streets of Ibadan to protest over ASUU strike

No less than seven Nigerian students on Tuesday, staged a protest in Ibadan, Oyo state against the persistent strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

The students who were holding placards, assembled in front of the University of Ibadan and demanded that schools be reopened.

It was gathered that security was beefed up at the main gate of the University to forestall the breakdown of law and order.

The inscriptions on the placards read: ‘No to Commercialization of Education,’ ‘We align with ASUU in its demands’, ‘Our future is in jeopardy’ ‘No resumption of academic activity, no 2023 general election’.

A spokesman for the protesting students said; “We have given the parties involved in the crisis enough time to resolve their differences Enough is enough.

“The Federal government and its relevant agencies are toying with our careers and future.

With the prolonged ASUU strike, we have stayed beyond the duration of years that we are supposed to spend. A 4-year course duration has been extended to 7 years.

We are tired of staying at home. The Federal government should do the needful by shifting grounds, and critically looks into and grants the request of ASUU.”

Nigeria Police PRO celebrates popular Yoruba actor, Owolabi Ajasa on his birthday

Yoruba movie star, Owolabi Ajasa turned a new age on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2022, and got a special birthday message from the police.

The actor is popularly known for playing the role of a police officer in Nollywood movies.

Force HQ Public Relations Officer (PRO), Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi celebrated Owolabi via his official Twitter account.

Adejobi shared a photo of the actor in his signature police uniform and described him as the Area Commander of Nollywood. The Force PRO then prayed for God to bless Ajasa as he adds a year to his age.

Singer Davido set to dump single life

Nigerian recording artiste, David Adeleke better known as Davido has explained in a newly uploaded video on his Instagram stories that he is prepared to get married because he no longer wants to identify as a player.

The singer shared a video on his Instagram Stories with the caption: “I think I’m gonna get married soon, cos….”

To explain the reason why he intends to get married, he added a video of a white man singing, “I don’t wanna be a player anymore.”

Pastor charges members N310k each to fly them to heaven from Ekiti [Screenshots]

Pastor Ade Abraham of Christ High Commission Ministry, aka Royal Christ Assembly, Kaduna State, has allegedly convinced members of his congregation that he can fly them to heaven for the sum of N310,000.

According to reports, he moved from Kaduna state and established an ascension camp in Ekiti state.

A video which is circulating on social media shows some congregants already in the camp preparing for their ascension when the world ends.

FIJ reports that Pastor Abraham assured the members that they would all ‘ascend to heaven together from the camp in Ekiti’.

My relative has also asked her daughter, who is studying abroad, to return to Nigeria, or else the pastor (Abraham) would make her commit an offence over there that would see her go to jail,” a source told FIJ.

The unbelievable story was reshared by Instablog9ja, which also posted videos and screenshots of a chat between the abovementioned woman and her daughter who is based abroad.

Actor Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, slams him after announcing son’s birth with another woman

May Yul-Edochie, the wife of Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has slammed him on social media after welcoming a newborn baby with Nollywood actress, Judy Austin.

Edochie on Wednesday morning confirmed the arrival of his son with his new partner, Judy.

In his Instagram statement, the actor admonished the world to meet his newborn baby, Star Dike Munachisom Edochie.

Edochie also identified the actress, Judy Austin as his ‘second wife’.

He wrote:

BBN star, Boma Akpore claims he was miraculously healed after a spiritual attack

Former Big Brother Naija contestant, Boma Akpore has taken to his Instagram page to say that he survived a spiritual attack on his leg that left him crippled for long.

The controversial reality star stated this on his Instagram stories during the early hours of today, Monday, April 25.

In his narration, he explained how he was allegedly healed miraculously.

Boma wrote:

“When I was in Primary 3, I had a spiritual attack on my left leg which lead to a sore that wasn’t going to heal, which eventually lead me into being cripple.

Doctors advised that we cut the leg, since we had visited countless hospitals and there wasn’t any positive result. My grandma refused.

We started going to crusades and lots of church programs. Was at a church vigil and pastor said there was someone here with a spiritual sore, you’re healed in Jesus name and I claimed it with faith.

My healing started 30 minutes after. It took me about 4 years to get better and I started learning how to walk again. Only a Fool will say there’s no GOD. May his name be praised hallelujah. Thank you Lord for your countless blessings upon my life amen.”

Nigerian man riding powerbike from London to Lagos arrives Africa within 5days

A Nigerian man identified as Kunle Adeyanju who began a London to Lagos ride with his powerbike has landed in Africa after traveling for five days.

CorrectNG reported earlier that he embarked on the cross-country trip from London, UK on April 19 as he noted he is is expected to last on the road for 25 days and cover 12,000kms.

Kunle took his Twitter account on April 25 to announce that he has reached Africa. He shared a photo of himself at the Casablanca boundary in Morocco.

According to him, the charity ride is aimed at raising funds which will be dedicated to primary healthcare, Polio plus project, water and sanitation.

Singer, T Classic allegedly poisoned during hangout with friends

Rising Nigerian singer, Tolulope Ajayi popularly known as T Classic has been hospitalized for an undisclosed illness.

According to social media reports, the singer was allegedly poisoned while on a social outing with some of his friends on Sunday, April 24.

It was learnt that he was swiftly rushed to the hospital following the incident on Sunday night.

T Classic, however, took to his Twitter account to state that he is responding to treatment and recuperating.

Alaafin’s wives are now available for interested suitors – Palace Chief

Following the death of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, his wives may now be permitted to seek union with other suitors without undergoing cleansing rituals.

According to beliefs in Yoruba tradition, wives of traditional rulers, either separated or still married are not at liberty to lay with other men until atonements have been made.

However, Peoples Gazette reports that palace sources said the Alaafin’s wives numbering about 18 are now free to move on.

The monarch is reported to have passed away late Friday at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti. He was 83 years old.

The Palace source said; “They are not performing any cleansing; They are free to move on with their lives. “The wives cannot get married to an indigene of Oyo.”

Now that Alaafin is dead, they all would be asked to exit the palace with their belongings. Although the properties of the late monarch would be shared among them.”

In an interview years ago, Oba Adeyemi disclosed that he never proposed to any of his wives, adding that they chose to be with him because he sponsored their education.

I switched from gospel to secular music for my family – Rema opens up

Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor better known as Rema has spoken on his transition from gospel to secular music.

He spoke while featuring as a guest on Rubbin’ Minds hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Sunday, where he disclosed that he began his music career in church and as the leader of a group, the Rap Nation.

According to Rema, that switch came when he realised that he needed to provide for his family after losing his dad and brother.

The singer revealed that he started going to political rallies, bars and competitions to perform in Benin, Edo state which was the genesis of his transition to secular music.

He said; “A lot of people felt like it was when I got signed that I started deviating or whatever, no. Actually, life was tough in Benin and I’m not that guy to ask the people in church to pay me because I was doing God’s work.

I was still in Benin when that switch happened. A lot of people thought that when I got signed, I started deviating.

“No. Actually, life was tough in Benin. I’m not that guy to ask the people in church to pay me because I’m doing God’s work.

“Right there in Benin, I started going to competitions, going to bars, lounges, political rallies; just trying to get on the stage and hold a microphone, to at least get sprayed some money to come back home and feed my family, because we were going through tough times.

“I lost my father and brother and I needed to come through for my family. At that point in time, I felt like that’s where I started spacing out; little by little, until I just exiled.”

He further disclosed that it was a weird experience for him and his mum but he gave her reassurances.

Rema added; “It was weird for me and most especially for my mum because she was well known in church. I didn’t do any much explaining. I just told her to trust me.”

Media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu recently got into an exchange with an online troll who tried to ridicule him.

It all started when a man identified as Prince Emmanuel Udoh mocked him for using an Android phone.

The fashion buff had made a tweet on Sunday and Twitter indicated that it came from an Android phone.

In reaction, Emmanuel asked a question which aimed to mock the former Big Brother Africa star.

”So you are using Android lol”, he wrote in the comment section.

Swiftly responding, Ebuka disclosed that he uses two Android smartphones and he took pride in mentioning the brand and models.

She blames everyone for the demise of her marriage – Linda Ikeji releases statement following accusation by Caroline Danjuma

Popular Nigerian blogger, Linda Ikeji has reacted to the allegations leveled against her by Nollywood actress, Caroline Danjuma.

CorrectNG reported Friday night that the movie star accused Linda of ruining her marriage. Caroline said one of the major reasons her marriage to Musa Danjuma ended is because of blog posts.

She made this known during a recent episode of Real Housewives of Lagos, saying that when Linda Ikeji allegedly made false reports about her age and her daughter belonging to another man, she reached out to her on numerous occasions but she did not care.

The media mogul has now released a statement refuting Caroline’s claims that she wrote a malicious content against her daughter.

She, however admitted to writing about the actress’ age controversy when she announced that she’s 27.

She also said that the blog has never published negative articles about her daughter, adding that there is no proof of such allegations online.

The statement reads; ”Just to set the record straight because people like to believe these things especially when a celebrity makes the claim.

In it’s 16 years of blogging, Linda Ikeji Blog NEVER EVER wrote that Caroline Danjuma’s daughter is not for her husband. Not only didn’t Linda Ikeji Blog write this, no other blog in Nigeria or beyond wrote this.

If this was a story written by Linda Ikeji Blog, a lot of other blogs would have carried it. There is no such story online on the thousands of blogs that exist in Nigeria. This is a story that was NEVER written about Caroline Danjuma. It doesn’t exist. PERIOD. Feel free to Google.

This story was completely made up by Caroline Danjuma. Or she could have seen it as a comment made by anonymous commenters on LIB or any other blog. But this story was NEVER written about her. Other than calling her daughter ADORABLE, we NEVER wrote anything else about her.

Yes, we did write about Caroline’s age controversy when she came out some years ago to claim she was 27. Many people didn’t believe her and that was the angle of our story. It wasn’t written with malice.

Two things that we want to make clear. Everyone who knows Caroline Danjuma, knows she blames everyone else for the demise of her marriage. It’s never her fault or the fault of her ex. Even in this so called reality show, another cast member said she lied when she said Linda Ikeji blog contributed to the end of her marriage and mentioned another cast member who Caroline has for years blamed for the end of her marriage. We hope the show airs that episode.

It was only recently, in a post on Instagram in 2022, that Caroline, finally blamed herself for the end of her marriage.

Secondly, Caroline has told everyone that cares to listen that she adores and respects Linda Ikeji and doesn’t understand why Linda doesn’t like her. Linda has absolutely nothing against Caroline Danjuma. She just doesn’t know her.

Finally we ask Caroline to please screengrab the page where Linda Ikeji Blog or any other blog in Nigeria ever wrote that her daughter isn’t for her husband. Its news to everyone today because it was NEVER WRITTEN.”

US rapper, Rich The Kid appeals to Wizkid for collaboration the second time

American rap star, Rich The Kid has made a fresh appeal to Nigerian music star, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid for a music collaboration.

The Hip Hop act had first indicated interest in working with the Starboy Entertainment founder last year after he commented on the Fever crooner’s post and asked him to check his DM.

“Check dm g,” Rich The Kid wrote in September 2021.

It is not confirmed if Big Wiz replied him, however, months after, the ‘Plug Walk’ crooner has now taken to Twitter to ask for a collaboration.
