Workers Day: NSCDC boss restates commitment to personnel’s welfare

Dr Ahmed Audi, Commandant General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has restated the commitment of the corps towards enhancing the welfare of all personnel.

Mr Audi made the commitment in a statement issued by NSCDC Public Relations Director, Mr Olusola Odumosu on Monday in Abuja, to mark Workers Day.

Mr Audi also assured that the benefits of all personnel who died in active service will be paid to their families.

The CG said they were working towards ensuring that those yet to receive their benefits, were paid without further delay.

He commended the enthusiasm, courage, unflinching loyalty and patriotic zeal of all personnel in carrying out various national assignments amidst some challenges.

Mr Audi pledged to initiate policies and programmes that will benefit all the staff, and improve their welfare and condition of service.

“I celebrate all my personnel today and always for their dedication, diligence, loyalty, perseverance, and commitment to national service.

“I am proud of you and salute your courage for working tirelessly every day to bring peace and stability to our society and the entire nation.

“I assure you that the management of the Corps under my watch will not toy with your welfare but will rather make life more meaningful across board,” he said.

Mr Audi appreciated the personnel for contributing immensely to peace, safety and national security, as well as protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.

The CG urged officers and men of the corps not to relent in carrying out their responsibilities effectively.

He commended Nigerian workers for their contribution to nation-building and wished them the very best of celebrations, nationwide.
