Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay has been spotted vibing to a song by colleague Tiwa Savage, just days after they had an altercation in a salon.
Recall that last week, Tiwa and Seyi were caught on tape throwing insults at each other after the Nigerian Idol judge approached the ”All Over” crooner despite shading her on different occasions.
Tiwa, however, did not feel comfortable with the idea of Seyi greeting her after all the side talks and diss, so she confronted her about it and the exchange spiraled into a messy encounter.
Just a day after the exchange, Seyi shared her side of the story, and revealed that their ”beef” is not what many think it is.
Well, a new video has surfaced on social media and it shows her vibing to Koroba, which is Tiwa’s song.
Seyi was in a swimwear with some friends and she danced as the song played in the background.
Yesterday, a video surfaced online showing leading Nigerian singers, Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay having a confrontation in a salon.
They got into a heated verbal exchange after Seyi tried to say hi to Tiwa, who reminded her of how she and Victoria Kimani dissed her some years back.
The incident stirred varying opinions on social media about the age-long beef which many say was caused by Seyi Sahy’s #F**kYouChallenge.
Seyi Shay has shared her side of the story in an audio obtained by Pulse.
In her statement she narrated that before the argument at the salon took place, she had walked over to say hi to Tiwa, who greeted her back while they shared fleeting glances at each other.
However, she added that after 20 minutes Savage walked over to her and that was how the infamous argument that has now gone viral started.
Shay revealed she was shocked by the unexpected outburst stressed that Savage’s beef with her was not about the #F**kYouChallenge verse she recorded in April 2019 as she confirmed that they have met each other more than twice since her #FvckYouChallenge and they exchanged pleasantries on all occasions.
To her, the beef is way more than that as made some accusations towards Tiwa Savage.
Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay, is currently being lambasted by social media users for her harsh words to a 17-year-old male contestant on musical talent show, Nigerian Idol.
After the young man’s performance, Seyi who is among the three judges, was unimpressed and told him he will do well as a songwriter, not a singer because he’s a ‘terrible’ performer.
Somebody lied to you. Somebody told you to come here and audition. You should go back and tell them that they aren’t your friend because that was not a good audition. You have a sweet talking voice and it comes out in your singing voice but your performance is terrible.
You are never going to make money being a singer. I love you, you are so sweet but you are not a singer. You are not a singer. For songwriting, hit me up, we could talk but that singing, it is not going to work. Sorry Darling,”she said.
Seyi Shay has been the number trending topic on Twitter as some Nigerians felt she was harsh on the contestant while others said she was objective.
