Richard Mofe-Damijo celebrates 60th birthday with ageless photos

Veteran Nollywood star, Richard Mofe Damijo popularly known as RMD, clocked 60 years today, July 6, 2021.

The never aging actor who leaves females drooling, took to his Instagram page to celebrate his new age in style.

RMD shared ageless photos of himself in which he struck interesting poses. The thespian took a trip down memory lane and concluded that “life is like a Nollywood movie”.

According to him, he has had an incredible journey through life and he is grateful to God for everything.

He wrote; “Finally

It’s dawn And it’s my birthday

What an incredible journey This has been Yet I won’t tire

Just super grateful And thankful

Life like a Nollywood movie

To God be the glory!”

Actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, breaks family curse

Veteran Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo has disclosed in a recent session with Chude Jideonwo that he has broken the family curse that has been haunting his ancestors for ages.

According to the veteran thespian, no member of his family lived up to the age of 60; Damijo who clocks 60 in a couple of days stated that he is proud to have defeated the spectre of death.

The veteran actor stated that he lost both his parents to diabetes before they ever clocked 60.

Speaking with Chude, Mofe-Damijo stated;

None of my parents lived to be 60, so life for me is just about to get started.”

“There’s been a specter of death around my life, that’s what I’ve been dealing with last year till this year.

“When I turned 59, it was a big deal for me, a big deal for me! My mom died at 59, my father died at 57/58.”

Our Man Crush Monday(MCM) is Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo popularly known as RMD. He  is a stylish Nigerian actor, writer, producer, and lawyer.

RMD was born on July 6th in Aladja, Delta State. He studied Theatre Arts at University of Benin and later returned to the prestigious University of Lagos to study law.

Richard initially worked as a reporter with Concord Newspapers and Metro Magazines before taking part in a television soap opera in the late 80’s called ‘Ripples’. In 2005, at the maiden edition of the African Movie Academy Awards, he won the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and he also received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 12th edition of the same awards in 2016. He was formerly a Special Adviser of Culture and Tourism and Commissioner for Culture and Tourism to the Governor of Delta State between 2008 and 2015.

Following the death of his first wife in 1996, Richard Mofe-Damijo married Jumobi Adegbesan and they are blessed with lovely children.
