Nnamdi Kanu slams Kenyan govt with lawsuit

Nnamdi Kanu, the incarcerated leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has instituted a lawsuit against the Kenyan Government.

This was disclosed via a tweet on Thursday by Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Kanu.

Ejimakor had tweeted, “UPDATE: Extraordinary Rendition: Onyendu’s legal team has filed a suit in Kenya against the Kenyan government.”

Ripples Nigeria had reported that Kanu was arrested in June and extradited to Nigeria to face trial for alleged treason after he had jumped bail since 2017

Speaking on the arrest, Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation, said that Kanu was “intercepted through the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and security services”.

Wilfred Machage, the Kenyan high commissioner to Nigeria, had denied the claim that Kanu was arrested in his country.

But Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to the IPOB leader, countered the position of the Kenyan government, saying his client was “illegally handed over” to the Nigerian government.

Kanu is expected in court in October. The Nigerian government has charged him with treason.

Any Igbo person criticising Nnamdi Kanu is insane —Methodist Bishop

The Bishop of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Onitsha Diocese, Rt Rev. Biereonwu Livinus Onuagha, has said any Igbo person criticising the leader of the proscribed Igbo secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, is naive and insane as he represents 99.9 percent Igbos.

Speaking during a press conference in Onitsha on Tuesday, the cleric said though Kanu had exhibited youthful exuberance in his agitation, most Ndigbos identifie with his struggles and quest for an entity called Biafra.

Bishop Onuagha added that Kanu is an asset not only to the Igbos but to entire Southern Nigeria, and the Igbo person that criticizes him now “is a lost soul, a bastard and a naive person”.

Bishop Onuagha also said that the handcuff on Kanu’s hands is a handcuff in the hands of every Igbo person in a country dominated by ethno-religious identity politics.

In the statement entitled “My take on Nnamdi Kanu: Nnamdi Kanu is not the problem of Nigeria,” Bishop Onuagha said as long as Northerners are still standing with the likes of Pantami, Gumi, Miyetti Allah and others, he will continue to stand with Kanu.

“In the last few days, there have been mixed feelings in the nation of Nigeria.

“It is no longer news that Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested. Many people have their opinion on this and they are entitled to them. I am equally entitled to mine.

Some people are rejoicing that Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested. Others are not happy because of that. The chase after Nnamdi Kanu is a misplaced priority.

To me, any Igbo person openly criticizing Kanu now is a lost soul, a bastard and a naive person. No apology.

“Those Igbos rejoicing like Joe Igbokwe in Lagos, is only being ignorant of the hand writing on the wall. Let me refer him to the Scripture if he reads his Bible:

“By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, and there we wept, when we remembered Zion. There on the poplars we hung our harps; for the wicked carried us away captivity, and required from us a song. How can we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?”(Psalm 137: 1-4.)

Joe Igbokwe does not know or understand that handcuffs on the hand of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, is handcuffs on the hands of every Igbo man. If I may ask, why is Joe Igbokwe thanking God for the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu?

“If I take a look at the apartheid policy in South Africa, the legend of our time, Daddy Nelson Mandela, he spent 27 years in prison to emancipate his people.

“He died in the struggle. Joe Igbokwe is only being selfish. How many of his investments are in Onitsha, Enugu, Awka, Abakaliki, Umuahia and Owerri? He is only making himself as a Tobias or Samballat.

“I listened to Senator Victor Umeh talk about the ideology of Nnamdi Kanu where he said Kanu may have spoken like a young man he is but there is truth in all he is saying.

Can somebody tell me why Nigeria is insisting that Biafra should not be self governed? Is the Igbo man in the second agenda of this government?

“In a country dominated by ethno-religious identity politics, throwing your own under the bus is the biggest blunder anyone could commit.

“As long as the Northerners are still standing with Pantami, Gumi, Miyetti Allah, etcetera, I will stand with Nnamdi Kanu.

“Nnamdi Kanu may have his youthful exuberance but he is representing 99.9% of the Igbo and the entity called Biafra. This is no time to openly talk about his mistakes.

“Like every human being, he is not infallible. He has his Achilles’ heel and its attendant hubris. Even with his mistakes, Nnamdi Kanu is an asset not only to Ndigbo but to Southern Nigeria as a whole. His courage has earned my respect.

He is the catalyst providing oxygen to all the agitations in the South today, be it Biafra or Oduduwa. The question is, the injustice and oppression that Kanu is fighting, are they real or imagined? Of course, even the blind can see them.

“You may not know the value of a mad man in your family until herds of other madmen invade your ancestral home.

“Nigeria is not working and can never work until something drastic is done about its lopsided structure. What is happening in Nigeria is total injustice, calculated intimidation, sidelining and enslaving a group of people.

Make no mistake, those that are benefitting from the systematic injustice will never allow the current system to be tampered with.

Nnamdi Kanu never jumped bail —Lawyer, Ejiofor

The legal counsel to leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, Ifeanyi Ejiofor has claimed that his client did not jump bail as being presented before the court by the Nigerian government.

According to him, Kanu had to save his life by fleeing the country, after his home was invaded by armed forces.

He spoke during an interview on Arise TV on Monday.

His argument is that his client’s home was invaded in September, ahead of his court appearance on October 14, adding, that he was forced to flee since only the living can face trial

He called for protection by the Nigerian government while alleging that his private residence had been invaded a number of times and people killed.

He spoke during an interview on Arise Television, on Monday morning.

This is not the first time Ejiofor would be making the claim, as he had also previously cried out in the early days when his client was arraigned for alleged treason by the Nigerian govt.

Asari-Dokubo mocks Nnamdi Kanu over arrest

Former militant commander and head of the Biafra Customary Government (BCG) Mujaheed Asari-Dokubo, has taunted the leader of the Igbo separatist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, over his re-arrest and repatriation to Nigeria by the Federal Government.

In a video on Sunday, the leader of the Niger Delta People Salvation Force (NDPSF), who had earlier fallen out with Kanu and vowed to bring him down, said he was going to destroy Kanu’s “evil empire”.

In the 10 minutes video, Dokubo boasted that he had promised to smoke out Kanu wherever he was hiding and had achieved that by the arrest of the dissident.

Nnamdi Kanu, I promised you I would smoke you out. You never started your madness, but now you’re bringing it, so the market’s closed and you’re gone. You have harmed Biafrans and traded with us so much,” he said.

“You collected our money in the name of defence funds and you have not been able to account for it.

“You want all Biafrans to pay you money on a monthly basis or they won’t be allowed into Biafra. Isn’t that making you a conman, an extortionist?

You claimed you gave me N20 million, but the video does not lie. It was so cowardly of you not to respond to my statement last year leading up to the election.

“I demanded the evidence that I demanded N20 million from you after you sent your followers to respond to me and they said a lot of things.

“I am not a member of IPOB, you gave me N20 million, tell us was it a bank transfer, was it cash, who brought it to me? I’m waiting for you. Produce the proof.

“I can’t run away from my land because they will overrun it. I am not like you Ben Johnson… I fought all the way to the Supreme Court. My record is in the Supreme Court, you can check it”, he said

Biafra groups vow to attack Aso Rock, National Assembly if Nnamdi Kanu isn’t released

A coalition of secessionists, the Biafra Think Tank, and The Biafra Watchdogs, have threatened to attack the National Assembly complex, the Presidential Villa, among others if Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) isn’t released.

The Biafra groups also threatened to kidnap all the ambassadors of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government including former Chief of Army staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, and keep them hostage until Kanu is released..

The groups stated these in a statement made available to Daily Post on Thursday.

The statement partly reads; “Every landlord in Biafra land must send the names, phone numbers, pictures if possible, address of any police officers, army, DSS (Department of State Services), EFCC (Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) and the military men living in their houses.

We shall inform the public and the country and airlines that gave out our leader, Kanu’s details and ensure that the staff, plane, and the country pays dearly or we will give their own country Jihadists or ISIS useful information to attack their government complex.

“Today we have agreed and decided to kidnap all the ambassadors of Buhari government, including Buratai and keep them hostage till they release Nnamdi Kanu and until Buhari signs and declares Biafra.

“We hereby summon all the Biafran sons and daughters working in the diaspora to attend an important meeting in the United States of America.

If Buhari refuses to release Nnamdi Kanu within 21 days from now, we shall attack the National Assembly, Aso Rock, Police Headquarters, Nigeria Army Headquarters, etc.”

Kanu was reportedly arrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria on Sunday. He is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS.

Nnamdi Kanu: We cannot get you out of prison – British authorities

The British authorities have dashed the hope of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), regaining freedom through its intervention.

Kanu, a holder of Nigerian and British passports, is currently in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja after being rearraigned in court.

Attorney-general of the federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, said on Tuesday that the IPOB leader was “intercepted through the collaborative efforts of Nigerian intelligence and Security Services.”

His brother, Kingsley Kanu had said the IPOB leader was arrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria.

Kanu, who was standing treason trial, was granted bail on health grounds in 2017 but he fled the country after soldiers stormed his hometown.

Following his arrest and extradition, he was taken to court on Tuesday and Justice Binta Nyako ordered that he should be remanded in DSS custody until July 26.

His family had appealed asked UK authorities to secure his release so that he can reunite with his family.

“The British High Commission in Nigeria must insist upon my brother’s immediate release. They must guarantee his safety and security. Nnamdi Kanu must be returned home to the UK to his wife and his sons who live here. The Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, must make clear to the Nigerian authorities that they will not tolerate the unlawful detention of British citizens and that the UK Government condemns the Nigerians and Kenyans for undermining the rule of law,” Kingsley Kanu had said in a statement.

But in a manual on ‘Support for British nationals abroad: A guide’, published on the website of the UK government, the British authorities made it clear that it has a limited role to paly regarding the detention of its citizens in prison.

The 19th page of the document read; “We can offer you information about the local prison or remand system, including visiting arrangements, mail and censorship, privileges, work possibilities, and social and welfare services. We can also explain where there are different regulations for remand prisoners and sentenced prisoners. For example, in some countries, prisoners are allowed to send more mail when they are on remand.

“We cannot get you out of prison or detention, nor can we get special treatment for you because you are British. If however you are not treated in line with internationally accepted standards we will consider approaching local authorities. This may include if your trial does not follow internationally recognised standards for a fair trial or is unreasonably delayed compared to local cases.

With your permission, we can consider taking up a complaint about ill-treatment, personal safety, or discrimination with the police or prison authorities.

Consular staff will keep in regular contact with you, either by visiting personally or by telephone/ letter. The frequency of visits will depend on local prison conditions and your personal circumstances.

“If you are a dual British national in the country of your other nationality, we would not normally offer you support or get involved in dealings between you and the authorities of that state. We may make an exception to this rule if, having looked at the circumstances of the case, we consider that you are vulnerable and we have humanitarian concerns.”

Nigerian govt claims Nnamdi Kanu was complicit in murder of 60 persons

More disclosures have been publicised in the wake of the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mr Nnamdi Kanu, by the Federal Government.

This was contained in a letter addressed to Western diplomats by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed by Minister Geoffrey Onyeama.

Kanu reportedly orchestrated the killing of 60 persons and the destruction of property in 55 violent attacks across the South East and South South Zones within four months, the memo disclosed.

Ripples Nigeria gathered that the letter dated April 26, 2021 detailed atrocities committed by members of IPOB on the alleged instruction of Kanu who was then in exile.

With several Kanu’s broadcasts from Europe, there were concerns in official quarters that some western countries were justifying IPOB’s violent acts under the guise of the group’s pursuit of self-determination.

According to the details contained in the letter, the Federal Government objected to a statement by an agency of a western nation whose government had noted and admitted that the creation of Eastern Security Network (ESN), based on its own understanding, was to combat insecurity.

The Federal Government, in its letter, however considered the statement (by the western nation) as ” justifying the establishment of a militia by a non-state actor and glossing over the destructive and violent acts of IPOB and the ESN.”

”In under four months this year, IPOB has carried out over fifty-five (55) violent acts in various parts of Southeast Nigeria killing scores of people and destroying many properties.”

“Indeed it would seem that the position of the (western nation) seems to have further emboldened Nnamdi Kanu the self-confessed leader of IPOB.

As recently as 22nd April, 2021, broadcasting online from his base in London, Mr Kanu has issued series of instructions to his militia and other members of the outlawed organisation, on acts of violence to be carried out within the territory of Nigeria,” the Federal Government stated in the letter.

Kanu, who jumped bail in 2017 and fled the country, was arrested and re-arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday.

Nnamdi Kanu arraigned in court

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu who was recently bundled back to Nigeria has been arraigned in court.

He was reportedly arrested on Sunday, and appeared before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, under very tight security.

Nnamdi Kanu declared wanted, N100 million bounty placed on him

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has been declared wanted by a northern group.

The group known as Northern Consensus Movement (NCM), declared Kanu wanted over the killings and destruction of properties owned by northerners in the South- East.

President of the group, Dr. Auwal Abdullahi, during a press conference on Thursday also placed a N100 million bounty on Kanu.

He said the IPOB leader should be captured and brought to them for onward handing over to security agents.

Abdullahi accused Kanu of using IPOB and the Eastern Security Network, ESN, to attack Northerners residing in the Southeast.

He said; “We are declaring Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB and ESN wanted for the killings, destructions of properties of Northerners residing and undertaking their lawful businesses in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria.

“We call on all countries of the world to respect our sovereignty as a nation. Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB, is the man and brain behind the killings and destruction of properties belonging to innocent northerners residing in South-Eastern Nigeria carrying out their legitimate businesses, using his proscribed terrorist organization, IPOB/ESN.

Northern Consensus Movement with these organizations has placed a bounty of N100 million as an offer to anyone who can produce Nnamdi Kanu alive, hale and hearty to us for onward delivery to security agencies for continuous prosecution.”

The group urged the United States, and German governments to repatriate Kanu back to Nigeria.

Twitter is Nnamdi Kanu’s platform to destabilise Nigeria, says Lai Mohammed

Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has said Twitter is the social media platform of choice for the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to “destabilise Nigeria”.

Mohammed made this known during an interview with BBC News Africa on Monday evening .

The minister, while defending the Federal Government’s Twitter ban, maintained that the administration won’t allow any separatist set the country on fire.

He said; “The government has suspended indefinitely the operations of Twitter in Nigeria because of the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.

The government also directed the regulatory agency which is the National Broadcasting Commission to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria.

“The main reason for this is because of the persistent use of Twitter in particular for activities that are inimical to the corporate existence of Nigeria.”

Mohammed added, “IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu in particular, his platform of choice to destabilise the country is Twitter.

“Twitter is actually the platform of choice for the separatist leader who resides outside Nigeria but issues directives for his members to attack the symbols of authority such as policemen, soldiers, correctional centres, electoral offices and this has been done willfully and consistently without consequences using always the Twitter platform.”

We will avenge death of every Biafran killed henceforth – Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has warned that there must be a retaliation for any Biafran killed by Nigerian security agencies.

Kanu made this statement in a Facebook post while sharing some images of South Easterners allegedly shot and killed by security operatives in the region.

The IPOB leader said IPOB were now ready to take Biafra by force since the government has refused to conduct a referendum which, according to him, is the easiest way to go.

His statement read; “What we ask is very simple. Give us referendum for the people to determine their fate in this Fulani controlled zoo called Nigeria.

But if referendum which is the easiest way to go about it can’t be assured, then we will take it by force.

“We can never continue in a country created by a white man meant for their own interests which turns us into slaves. Never!. Our fathers accepted that but this generation said No.

“Simply conduct referendum and allow the will of the people to reign.

“The same way we triumph is same way we’ll continue to triumph to any option they present to us going forward.”

Talking about the killing of some IPOB members in Imo and other parts of the Southeast, Kanu added, “I hope those half baked graduates yapping on media are taking note of it!.

“What these janjaweeds must understand is that it’s no longer the time we do cry to the world.

“For any Biafran you kill, there must be a pay back. We will avenge their deaths with the heads of their killers Eyeforaneye.”

Oduduwa, Biafra Republics coming soon – Nnamdi Kanu

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has said that the agitations for the independence of the Oduduwa and Biafra republics will soon come to fruition.

He stated this in a tweet on Wednesday, while speaking on the 1914 amalgamation.

According to the IPOB leader, Britain’s failure to offer Southern and Northern Nigeria the option of partition is a violation of a declaration which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 14 December 1960.

Kanu wrote; “Britain’s failure to offer Southern and Northern Nigeria the option of partition like it did with India & Pakistan violated the ‘United Nations Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries’. It’s time to right this violation. Oduduwa and Biafra coming soon.”

Meanwhile, Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, had earlier warned that any attack by the Nigerian Army on the South-East would be repelled.

In a statement released by his media aide, Olayomi Koiki, the Yoruba activist said, “We would like to inform the Federal Government Of Nigeria that any attack on the South-East is an attack on the Yorubas.

“Biafra people have been targeted by the Nigeria Army and if there are any further attacks on them, we would have no other option but to support our brothers and sisters in Biafraland.”

IPOB not plotting to attack Lagos – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has debunked allegations that the proscribed group is plotting an attack on Lagos state.

Commissioner of Police in Lagos, CP Hakeem Odumosu, on Monday, said the state Police Command is investigating the separatist group, Oodua Republic, and also the threat by IPOB to attack soft targets in the state.

Odumosu made this known during a security summit chaired by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Command has taken notice of agitators for Oodua Republic by some Yoruba separatist groups and the threats to disrupt law and order in the state. 24 of these groups have been identified and being closely monitored.

Similarly, the threat of IPOB to attack soft targets in Lagos is equally being put on the radar of the command intelligence gathering and other security services in the state. Strategies are being put in place to neutralise their activities, he said.

Reacting, Kanu took to his official Twitter account and described the allegation as a lie and a plot to fuel division.

“The public is hereby notified that the allegations that IPOB is plotting to attack Lagos is a LIE. Lagos State CP, Hakeem Odumosu who made the allegation is a former CSO to Tinubu & their intention is to fuel division between Yorubas & Biafrans. It won’t work. This is not 1967!” he tweeted.

Nnamdi Kanu renews call for referendum, says it’s people’s right

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has criticised the Federal Government over its refusal to hold a national referendum towards determining the future of the country.

He further stated that it was not the duty of the Federal Government to decide who stays or leaves Nigeria.

Kanu made the assertion on Saturday, March 27, via a tweet on his official Twitter handle.

According to him, the decision of whether the country would disintegrate or remain integrated should be determined by the people via a referendum.

The founder of the Eastern Security Network, ESN, said not even the military has such powers.

“Dear Nigerian Govs, it’s not your business to decide whether the people of your State should remain Nigerians or not. It’s not even the business of the President or the Nigerian Army.

“Instead, it’s the business of the PEOPLE, freely expressed through a process called REFERENDUM”, the tweet reads.

Senator Shehu Sani Condemns Kanu’s ESN Attack On Herdsmen In Isiukwuato Village, Abia State.

Recall that there was a video Nnamdi Kanu shared on his Facebook wall where the officers of the Eastern Security Network were seen chasing away the Fulani Herdsmen in Isiukwuato village in Abia state. The video revealed the members of the ESN brutally slaughtering the cows of the herders without mercy.

Senator Shehu Sani who was the former senatorial representative of Kaduna central senatorial zone, while reacting to the video said, “It is painful to see how the members of the Kanu’s Eastern Security Network brutally slaughtered the cows of herders in Isiukwuato areas of Abia state. The ugly incidence is such that should not be allowed to happen again by the Federal Government”.

“The Federal Government should set up plans on allowing the herdsmen to set up and establish their grazing ranches in the North, rather than leaving them at the mercies of such brutal attack with their cows. To maintain peace, unity and order in this country, the president should allow the herders to settle in the North”.

Nigerians on seeing the response of Senator Sank to the incidence provided photos of where people’s businesses where destroyed without compensation in Kano and asked the Senator what he had to say concerning that one.

#Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu gives South-East Governors 14-day ultimatum to ban open grazing.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has issued a 14-day ultimatum to Governors in the South East, to ban open grazing in the region.

Kanu issued the notice through IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful. He warned that the group’s security outfit would commence the enforcement of the Anti-Grazing Law across the entire region, if no action was taken at the expiration of the ultimatum.

Kanu further commended Governors in the Southwest for banning open grazing in their region.

“We wish to humbly and most submissively call upon all the governors of the East, to as a matter of urgency, ban all manner of open grazing in the region in compliance with the 1969 statutory law of #Nigeria that banned such provocative and primitive practice by Fulani herdsmen” the statement read.

It added that “If after 14 days there is no firm and decisive action by Eastern governors to ban open grazing in our land, #ESN will step into the breach to commence the enforcement of this 1969 Anti-Grazing Law across the entire region. Don’t say you were not informed or given prior warning.”

The South-West governors banned all open grazing of cattle in the region earlier this week. They also prohibited night grazing and herding of cattle by underage children.

Nnamdi Kanu Blast Nigerians Who Are Against Eastern Security Network .

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has addressed those who are against the formation of the Eastern Security Network (IPOB), as he blast them saying they should receive sense.

The Eastern Security Network (ESN) is a regional security force of the indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB), based in the Igbo part of Nigeria.

On Saturday night, 30th of January, Nnamdi Kanu took to his Twitter page and blasted those against ESN . He told them to have sense , saying if they are against the Eastern Security Network, who will help them fight and stop the killings by Fulani herdsmen , the killings of innocent people, raping, invading in people’s farm and destroying crops? We all should receive sense.

He also revealead that some critics have faulted the creation of the security outfit, saying it’s just a pretext but Kanu and his supporters claims the group is no different from the Islamic group in the North.

Iwuanyanwu says IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, chasing Biafra the wrong way

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has counseled IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu to follow the footsteps of the late Biafra leader, Odimegwu Ojukwu, in his clamour for secession (Biafra).

The elder statesman who made the comments on Sunday while speaking when the leadership of the Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) conferred on him the award as its grand patron in Owerri, the Imo State capital, added that before the beginning of the Biafra War in 1967, Ojukwu did not declare secession on his own, but was called upon by all to do so.

According to him, Ndigbo at the moment are not talking about secession but are demanding the restructuring of the country to allow for equity for all Nigerians.

Iwuanyanwu said; “Ojukwu did not ignore elders and he never declared Biafra on his own. It was the people from all walks of life – the academia, businessmen, civil and public servants that called upon him to declare the state of Biafra and become its leader.

“That was why Ojukwu was able to hold Nigeria for three years without rebellion. Most of us who fought the war were intelligent, but we had to join and fight the war. We’re very proud that we fought that war.

“You (Nnamdi Kanu) can’t come on your own and declare Biafra and ask me, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, to follow you. Even in a monarchical system, people’s opinions are sought. What do you have that you are declaring war here and there? You are only endangering the lives of your brothers, the youth who you claim to lead. You have to come and seek advice from Igbo elders. They’re the people that will guide you.

“All we’re asking for in Nigeria is to restructure Nigeria, which Gowon agreed, but his people rebuked him. Gowon also tried his best to fulfill most of the things that were agreed before the end of the war.”

The politician also added that IPOB members are endangering the lives, investments and properties of Igbos in Igboland and across Nigeria by their unguarded and provocative comments and actions.

“Igbo youths must avoid circumstances that they do not understand. What IPOB did during the #ENDSARS protests was very heinous. Their leader went about taking responsibility for issues and destructions they knew nothing about.

“He also ordered his followers to kill some people in Igboland. If you give orders for another person to be killed in your place, don’t be surprised that your people will be killed also. There is no place in Nigeria that you can’t find an Igbo man. So, ordering the killing of anyone in your community is endangering your people. Apart from the fact that most of our population live outside Igboland, Igbo investment outside Igboland is over $2 trillion,” he said.

Produce Young Leader To Resist Fulani Taking Over Your Ancestral Lands, Nnamdi Kanu Tells Middle Belt.

He stated that all regions would combine efforts to prevent the suspected killer Fulani herdsmen from taking over their lands.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has advised the youth of the Middle Belt area of Nigeria to produce a capable leader to work with other regions in resisting Fulani people suspected to be working to forcefully take over their lands.
Kanu said this on Sunday through a statement released by the IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, and made available to SaharaReporters.

He stated that all regions would combine efforts to prevent the suspected killer Fulani herdsmen from taking over their lands.

“It gladdens my heart that all #Nigerians, especially those blinded by political patronage, have come to the realisation that all peoples and ethnic nationalities indigenous to ‘Nigeria’ have one common enemy which is #Fulani Janjaweedism,” he said.

He continued, “To complete the spiritually important triangulation necessary to ensure success, there is a need now, more than ever, for the emergence of an equally vibrant youthful leader from the Middle Belt as we now have in Yorubaland.

“Nupe, Tiv and Jukun, yoked by years of Fulani emasculation are more than capable of producing an uncompromisingly astute young leader to defend their land. Our promise remains that no indigenous tribe or ethnic group in #Nigeria will be left behind if we work in tandem to rid our various lands of this infestation from the Sahel in the name or Fulani herders.

“East, West and Middle Belt together and its game over for the Satanic Fulani Caliphate and their Miyetti Allah terrorist foot soldiers.

“Middle Belt, we are waiting for you.”
