The abducted siblings who were killed by kidnappers after collecting N60 million ransom from their father, have been buried in Garin Dogo in Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The kidnappers abducted the three siblings in Garin Dogo community and demanded N100m ransom from their father, Alhaji Musa Falke, a cattle dealer, however they settled for N60m after negotiation.

The abductors demanded that the money be paid in cash and given to them via a motorcyclist.

The motorist, another son of the cattle rearer, who went to deliver the ransom at a forest near the village, was killed by the kidnappers after they had killed his brothers.

Kidnappers Kill Businessman After Ransom Payment In Ondo

A businessman based in Ugbe Akoko, Ondo State, Augustine Okoye, who was kidnapped with his wife has been reportedly killed by abductors after payment of ransom.

The couple were kidnapped along the Isua Akoko highway while their abductors demanded an undisclosed amount of money as ransom to secure their release.

It was gathered that Okoye was killed by the kidnappers before the family of the victims paid the ransom and freed only his wife.

A source within the community disclosed that the man had been beaten to death before the ransom was paid, but warned his wife not to disclose to those negotiating their release.

According to the source, “the wife disclosed that their abductors warned her not to tell the negotiators about the husband’s death or she will be killed.”

A police source in Ikare Akoko who confirmed the incident disclosed that the car of the victims had been recovered from the scene of the incident.

The police source said men of the Ondo Amotekun corps and local vigilante groups were now combing the forest to recover the dead body and arrest the suspects.

All attempts to confirm the incident from the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Funmi Odunlami proved unsuccessful.

Kidnappers kill Bauchi lawmaker’s son

The eldest son of a member of the Bauchi State House of Assembly representing Dass Constituency, Bala Ali, has been killed by suspected kidnappers.

The lawmaker representing Burra Constituency, Ado Wakili, disclosed this during the House’s sitting on Tuesday, September 27, presided over by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Danlami Ahmed Kawule.

Abdul Burra, the Spokesperson for the Speaker of the House, Abubakar Suleiman, said the lawmaker who extended his condolences to the Members on the murder of his colleague’s son described the incident as “tragic,” and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

Punch reported that the speaker also announced that the lawmakers would pay a condolence visit to the member and his family immediately after the plenary.

Police arrest two kidnappers behind killing of personnel and attack on Immigration officers in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command in collaboration with a local vigilance group, have arrested two suspected kidnappers in in Taura Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, September 20, said the suspects, aged between 35 and 40, were arrested on Sunday following reliable intelligence and credible information.

“Those arrested are believed to members of criminal gang that have been terrorising parts of the state and neighbouring Kano,” he stated.

“The police arrested them during a special operation in Larabawa village, Gabasawa area of Kano and Larabar Gurgunya village in Taura, Jigawa,”

The PPRO said that preliminary investigation showed that the suspects were responsible for the August 9 attack on personnel of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

“Investigation is also showing that the suspects killed two police officers at Kwalam village in Taura on January 23,” he said.

The police spokesman further stated that four magazines with 83 rounds of 7.9mm live ammunition, two locally made pistols, bows, arrows and two sticks were recovered from them.

He also said that cellular phones, clothes, lubricating oil, three Nigerian National Identity Cards and four photographs were recovered from the suspects.

Shiisu urged the public to always avail the police of credible and reliable information concerning suspicious persons around their environment.

He said the suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigation in the matter has been concluded.

Kidnapped Kogi oil mogul, Mohammed Jamiu regains freedom after two months in captivity

The owner of Always Petroleum and Energy Service Limited, Alhaji Mohammed Jamiu, has regained freedom after spending two months in kidnappers’ den.

Jamiu was kidnapped on July 9, 2022 at his residence located at Idare quarters in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The kidnappers, numbering four, had entered his house posing as business associates shortly after he returned from Eid praying ground in Okene town.

The oil mogul was reportedly released on Thursday night, September 15, after his family paid a ransom.

Kidnappers of Imo traditional ruler demand N200m ransom

The kidnappers of HRH Eze Joel Ndenkwo, the traditional ruler of Isiala Umudi Autonomous community in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo state, have demanded N200m ransom for his release.

The monarch who is also a business mogul, was abducted in front of his office at the ever-busy Tetlow road in Owerri, the state capital, last Friday.

A source close to the monarch said that his kidnappers called the family on Sunday, September 11, and demanded N200 million as the condition for his release.

The source disclosed that the kidnappers called one of his siblings through the monarch’s phone.

“The news is true; the kidnappers of his royal highness have called. They called his family for the first time since his abduction, on Sunday.

They asked the family to make available N200m, on Monday. They called through his phone. I don’t know where they will get that kind of money from.” the source added.

Spokesperson of the command, CSP Michael Abattam, who confirmed the incident said that investigations are ongoing.

43 Zamfara kidnap victims freed after spending days in captivity

The 43 Muslim worshippers who were kidnapped at Zugu community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of the state have been freed.

Sources told Channels Television that the kidnap victims were freed on Tuesday night September 6, at about 10:30 pm after the payment of five million Naira ransom.

It was disclosed that the bandits also requested and got supplies of several jerry cans of petrol.

Members of the Zugu community disclosed that 44 persons were kidnapped from the village but one person died in the bandits’ camp as a result of torture.

The other 43, however, returned to the village unhurt and have since been reunited with their families. While the police is yet to give full details of the release, however, after the abductions, the Zamfara command deployed additional tactical operatives to the area to ensure that normalcy returns.

Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Kolo Yusuf who reiterated that the command is committed to rid the state of criminal activities, appealed for continuous support and collaboration to all the security operatives in an effort to achieve this mandate.

Police arrest two suspected kidnappers, rescue victim in Jigawa

Operatives of the Jigawa State Police Command in collaboration with a vigilante group, have arrested two suspected kidnappers and rescused a victim.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, August 28, said the suspects including a 30-year-old woman, were arrested in Ringim Local Government Area of the state.

“A joint operatives from Ringim Area Command in conjunction with local vigilante group, led by Ringim Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Shehu Hamdullahi, acted on credible and actionable intelligence raided suspected kidnapper’s hideout at Nisan Marke Herdsmen Settlement in Ringim LGA, and arrested two (2) suspected kidnappers,” the statement read.

“On 24th August, 2022, at about 0800hrs, Intel at our disposal revealed that, one Muhammad Sama’ila ‘m’ age 45yrs of Madari village, Warawa LGA, Kano State was seen with matchet cuts all over his body. “On receipt of the information, a team of Policemen swung into action, visited the scene of crime and conveyed the victim to hospital

“While on admission at hospital, after regained his consciousness, the victim revealed that, he was kidnapped on Tuesday 22nd, August, 2022, at about 0130hrs from Madari Village in Warawa LGA of Kano State and taken to Nisan Marke Herdsmen.

“When he attempted to escape from the abductors, he was attacked by one of the kidnappers and inflicted injuries in his body.

“On the same date at about 0850hrs, a team of Policemen stormed the Area, where one of the kidnappers named Abdurrazaq Musa ‘m’ age 40yrs of Gurgunna village, Babura LGA, Jigawa State was arrested and the phone that belongs to the victim which was used for ransom negotiation was recovered in his possession.

“Furthermore, one Hassana Jimau ‘f’ age 30yrs of Nisan Marke village was also arrested at about 1230hrs.

“During interrogation, both the suspects were confessed to have abducted the victim with eight (8) other gang members. Effort to trace their accomplices is on top gear.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been handed over to the team of anti-kidnapping section, Kano State Police Command for discreet investigation.

The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Police Command, CP Aliyu Sale Tafida psc, appreciated the effort of officers and urged the public to always avail Police with credible and reliable information at right time.

Abducted Nasarawa commissioner regains freedom

The abducted Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Yakubu Lawal, has regained freedom after five days in captivity.

Lawal was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence on Monday night and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

The gunmen, who stormed Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state, shot indiscriminately before they took their target away.

Speaking with our correspondent in Lafia on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the commissioner was released due to sustained pressure from officers of the command on the gunmen.

He said,

“The abducted Commissioner has been released around 6pm today and he has been reunited with his family.

“Based on credible information, we gathered that the kidnappers took the commissioner to Tawa-Gali area around Mada station in Nasarawa Eggon LGA. So, we mobilised our men to go after them.”

The Niger State Police Command has arrested a teenager and one other over the kidnap and murder of a 13-year-old boy, Yasir Salisu.The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Wasiu, in a statement in Minna, said the victim went missing on July 29.Wasiu said the suspects, Nafiu Umar, 18, and Usman Sabiu, 22, confessed to kidnapping the victim to collect ransom from his father.“Usman Sabiu confessed to have conspired with Nafiu Umar and abducted the missing person to the house of Nafiu with the intention of collecting N100,000 from the victim’s father.

Unfortunately, he claimed that the victim could not produce the father’s contact to demand ransom and both suspects were identified by the victim, who are neighbours, hence the victim was strangled and killed by the suspects,” the statement read.The PPRO added that the suspects buried the body in a shallow grave by the riverside.“However, the corpse was exhumed and deposited at the Umar Yar’adua Hospital morgue for an autopsy,” the police spokesman said.

A heartbreaking pictures revealed that the young woman was butchered and dumped among refuse waste.

Details of the incident are still sketchy but residents of the area said they don’t know who dumped the body.

The body was discovered in the early hours of today, June 20, one of the eyewitnesses said, adding that the young lady might be a prostitute.

The eyewitness also suggested that the young woman might be used for rituals by one of her customers.

Police arrests nine suspected kidnappers in Ekiti

Police operatives have arrested nine suspected kidnappers in Ekiti State.

The spokesman for the state police command, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the development in a statement on Monday in Ado-Ekiti, said the suspects were arrested in Ago Aduloju area of the state capital.

Abutu said the feat was part of the ongoing strategic efforts by the command to rid the state of criminal elements.

He said: “Following intelligence led surveillance activities, the command operatives on April 29, at about 13:00hrs, bombarded Ago Aduloju Forest, Ado-Ekiti.

“During the operation, nine suspects, namely – Hassan Mesaje, Dagogo Nadahi, Saidi Laun, Abubakar Usman, Lawal Abdullahi, Usman Ibrahim, Idris Ahmed, Usman Abubakar and Dahiru Adamu were arrested while others took to their heels.

“The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Moronkeji Adesina, assured residents of the state that the command would not relent in its fight against crimes and criminalities.

“It also seeks the support and cooperation of all and sundry through the provision of timely and useful information to the police, adding that the suspects arrested would be made to face the wrath of the law.”

Kaduna train attackers release photo of baby delivered by kidnapped woman

The terrorists who abducted passengers when they attacked a Kaduna-bound train from Abuja on March 28, have released a photograph of a new-born baby girl delivered by one of the abducted women who was reportedly eight months pregnant at the time of the abduction.

The terror group which carried out the attack, suspected to be members of the Ansaru sect, a breakaway group from Boko Haram, released the picture of the new baby on social media on Thursday, day after they released photographs of some of the kidnapped victims in their den.

After the release of the abductees’ photographs, there were stories of the pregnant woman giving birth to a baby in the terrorists’ camp by her family who said they were called by the criminals to inform them of the news.

A family member of the woman had first hinted that she had been delivered of her baby, although the identity of the new-born child was not disclosed until the terrorists released her picture.

To confirm the news they gave to the family, the terrorists released the photograph of the infant baby girl and informed the family she was in good condition and was being taken care of by qualified nurses.

Two killed, six injured in Imo as kidnappers invade market in search of runway member

A tragic scene played out at Afor Awo Market in Awo Omamma community, Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, as two people where killed when suspected kidnappers invaded the area.

The incident which threw members of the community into panic on Wednesday as many scampered for safety was confirmed by the Imo State police spokesman Orlando Ikeokwu, who had not issued any official statement as at the time of filing in this report.

The gunmen who according to reports were said to be chasing one of their members, shot sporadically when they invaded the area killing two victims, with six others sustaining gunshot wounds.

Further information revealed that the incident which witnessed the injuring of other people due to a resulting stampede was as a result of sharing of booty (spoils) after a major operation by the kidnappers.

The runaway gang member was reportedly traced to the village by his other accomplices who opened fire on him as he ran into the market, and that was when the bullets started hitting people.

Amotekun arrests four suspected kidnappers in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun Corps on Friday arrested four suspected kidnappers in the state.

The Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd), who disclosed this to journalists in Ado-Ekiti, said the suspects were arrested during a routine patrol in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje local government area of the state.

He said: “Our men on routine patrol intercepted these four persons suspected to be kidnappers on Friday morning when they were making their ways into the state from Sokoto State.

“They told us they were coming from Ilorin, Kwara State, on motorcycles after they were brought in from Sokoto State in a truck a few days ago. Upon questioning, they said they were heading to Akungba Akoko in Ondo State but with no clear mission here.

“What we found on them clearly gave them away as suspected kidnappers and also with their confession. One of them clearly wrote on his motorcycle in Hausa language, ‘Duniya Ba Hutu’ which means, No peace in this world.

“None of the motorcycles had number plate or documents to show ownership.”

Komolafe added that the suspects upon interrogation did not give a satisfactory response on their mission in the state but confessed to be “professional kidnappers.”

He said the suspects would be handed over to the police for further investigation.

A few days before, on the very first of January of this year, little Blessing was sent out on an errand in their surroundings, and that was how she was abducted. Later, on the 5th of January, she was discovered in a soaking pit in their compound, with a lot of heavy blocks shielding the soak out.

As when the blessing was discovered, she appeared pure white, and she had lost so much blood from the high degree of damage she had received in the hands of the kidnappers.

She stabbed her neck and back, and she had black cloths around her face and lips. She was then taken to the hospital where she’s struggling for her survival.

As at present, the perpetrator behind the kidnapping of little Blessing has been apprehended. They are in number, but only one of them was captured when the other two had fled.

The perpetrator appears to be a friend with his parents’ blessings. They live in the same complex, a leased apartment in Abraka, a town in the Delta State where Blessing and her parents work.

According to the suspect, their purpose was to destroy the blessing. They slit her throat with a knife so that she might suffer, but the knife didn’t come in. Then they wanted to stabbed her seriously, and ended up tossing her in a pit of soaking away, covering the mouth of the soak away with bricks, so that the blessing may suffocate and die.

At present, Blessing is in a precarious position in the hospital, and every one prays for the Almighty God to save his life, so that he can share his story.

Abductors alallegedly contacted family of one of the kidnapped Katsina schoolboys, ask them to begin preparation of ransom.

The suspected kidnappers of the 333 boys of the Government Science Secondary school in Kankara, Katsina state, have reportedly reached out to one of the parents of the abducted students and have asked them to prepare a ransdom for their ward’s release.
