Wizkid Wins Big At 15th Headies

Singer, Wizkid, has won the Album of the year category at this year’s Headies with his Made in Lagos (deluxe edition) album.

His collaboration with Tems, ‘Essence’ also won awards in the Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and RnB Single categories.

Other big winners of the event include Patoranking who got two awards for Best Recording of the year and Best Reggae and Dancehall album.

Meanwhile, Buju BNXN won the Next Rated category, Olamide won the Best Rap Album with Carpe Diem, and Adekunle Gold emerged as Best Songwriter with his single, ‘Sinner’

Portable Zazu forgives fan who smashed his car window and also gives him money.

Nigerian upcoming singer Portable recently shared a video of a fan who smashed his car glass, as he ended up forgiving him Portable in the video at first threatened to take the fan to the police station but changed his mind as he allowed him to go freely The Zazu singer was also seen in the video giving the fan money, an action which stirred reactions from his fans.

Hours after he tendered an apology to the organisers of the Headies Awards, Nigerian upcoming singer Portable Zazu shared a video of a fan who smashed his car glass. The video showed Portable threatening to take the fan to the police station for his action; however, after apologising, the singer forgave him and asked him to get down from his car.

Portable seems to be using the video to send an indirect message to the Headies to forgive him, not minding what he has done in the past.

Omah Lay, Headies ”Next Rated” award winner officially receives his car gift (Video)

Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia known professionally as Omah Lay has finally taken delivery of the Headies’ “Next Rated” award emblem and car gift.

He visited the Headies Award organizers office (HipTV) on the 9th of April, 2021 to receive the prize.

Omah Lay won the “Next Rated” award ahead of Tems, Oxlade, and Bella Shmurda at the 14th Headies’ award show on the 21st of February, 2021.

The car gift was presented to him by the organizers of the award show and GAC motors in Ikeja.

Speaking at the presentation, the ”Godly” crooner said;

“Next rated was a big plus for me. Shout out to The headies. My Growth so far has been something that I’m grateful for.

I can’t explain it honestly, I can’t explain it. But still, I am grateful. I feel blessed, that’s basically everything I can say. And my people, my fans, they are everything. Honestly, my fans are everything.”

I regret quarrelling with Olamide at the Headies 2015 – Don Jazzy (Video)

Nigerian music producer and record label founder, Michael Collins Ajereh, professionally called Don Jazzy has expressed regrets over the fracas that ensued between him and Olamide at the Headies 2015 award night.

Speaking in an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio Live, the Mavin records CEO said he is not a type who likes igniting and fueling conflicts and regrets his statement that night.

Don Jazzy also said he wouldn’t have replied to Olamide if he wasn’t called by the show host to say a thing or two.

The music maestro also said his statement was actually not channeled towards stimulating conflict, rather it was a way to settle the conflict that arose.

They settled the rift in 2016 by issuing public apologies after which they took the photo above to show they are cool with each other.

Laycon Reveals Why He Wore Over Size Shoe To Headies

Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition winner, Laycon, once got people talking on Twitter about his choice of shoes to the recently concluded Headies Award – The singer was spotted on stage in white shoes which looked quite big from the angle the photo was taken – Fans of the rapper took to the comment section to defend their fave as others dragged him.

However, Laycon has come to explain why he choose to wear big shoe to headies, when he was entertaining question at an event in Alausa.

He said he chooses the big shoe among the shoes his stylist brought to him because he love big things, he said every step he take is big, that is why he chooses the big shoes among all the shoes they brought for him.
