Former NFL player Antonio Dennard shot dead outside a bar

Former NFL cornerback Antonio Dennard was shot and killed outside a bar in Reading, Pennsylvania, over the weekend.

32-year-old Dennard was pronounced dead at 3:15 AM on October 16, after being transported to Reading Hospital for a gunshot wound.

TMZ Sports reported that Berks County Coroner’s Office ruled the former NFL player’s death as a homicide and police are currently investigating.

Prior to his death, Dennard spent time in the NFL with the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and Jacksonville Jaguars over the course of his career.

An autopsy for Dennard is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18.

Man shoots himself dead after ‘fortifying’ self against bullet

A man has reportedly shot himself dead at Agona Port near Diaso in the Upper Denkyira West District in the Central Region of Ghana.

The man who shot himself after spiritually fortifying himself against gunshot, was identified simply as Divine and it was also learnt that he was in his 30s.

Eyewitnesses told local publications that he first shot his ankle before shooting his ribs but the bullet failed to penetrate in both attempts.

Convinced that he had succeeded, he allegedly pointed the gun to his head and shot at close range. The bullet penetrated and he died instantly.

His remains have been sent to the Dunkwa On-Offin Mortuary for storage and an autopsy. Diaso law enforcement has opened a probe into the incident.

Hoodlums Set Lagoon Hospital in Lagos on Fire for Allegedly Rejecting Gunshot Victim

Some yet-to-be identified hoodlums tagged protesters have set Lagoon Hospital at Liverpool Apapa in Lagos on fire after the hospital allegedly rejected a gunshot victim on Tuesday.

Following violent attacks across Lagos State, the police were said to have been deployed in Tin-Can area in an attempt to quell possible outbreak of violence.

According to reports, the armed policemen shot at the irate crowd, which unfortunately hit the victim.

The victim was, however, rushed to Lagoon Hospital where he was allagedly refused entry at the gate. And in a fit of rage, the thugs attacked the hospital and set it ablaze.

At the time of filing this report, the extent of damage could not be confirmed. A video showed a bonfire in front of the hospital and thick smoke coming from the hospital premises.
