Fake lawyer with 10 years experience arrested while defending client in court

One Adebowale Adeola Babatunde who has been parading himself as a legal practitioner, has been arrested.

He was nabbed when he presented himself as a counsel before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State.

It was gathered that the fake lawyer has been practicing for over 10 years. He was charged by Police in a case file number: MOS/152C/2021.

A statement by the Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Osogbo branch, Dawood Ajetunmobi said the Ministry of Justice has taken over the case from the police after the union’s requested it to do so.

Babatunde had on March 10, 2021, appeared before Magistrate A. A Adeyeba to move a motion on behalf of his client, but the way and manner he conducted himself in the court raised suspicion which infuriated one of the lawyers in the court.

The lawyer, O.U Yussuf requested the court through an oral application to make enquiries about the status of Babatunde as a lawyer.

The magistrate gave a prompt order for the arrest of the defendant.

Meanwhile, the trial of the defendant which was supposed to come up on Wednesday, 8, September 2021 before the Osogbo Chief Magistrate A.K Ajala was stalled due to the absence of the fake lawyer.

In his ruling, Magistrate Ajala refused the prosecutor’s prayer and adjourned the matter to September 24, 2021 for fresh arraignment since the matter is coming up before him for the first time.

Big Brother Naija star, KiddWaya has taken to social media to air his concerns about racism.

In a Twitter post, the reality star stated that he is yet to grasp why caucasians are yet to accept that there are wealthy Africans.

He revealed that he often receives a cold welcome and given a demeaning look whenever he visits a luxurious place or goes shopping overseas.

KiddWaya, the son of billionaire and socialite, Terry Waya stated that most white people neglect the fact that he is wealthy and could acquire the entirety of the supermarket should he choose to.

Here is what he wrote on Twitter;
10 yrs on. Still getting the same funny looks when I go to the supermarket as a black man. Like I couldn’t buy the whole store and replace every mf with a minority. But as usual I keep it moving because right now my blessings are too much. #whatsonyourmind

“However you want to see it, if I win. YOU win. I’m carrying the Nigerian flag with me wherever I go. It will always be US to the world.”

KiddWaya participated in the 2020 edition of the popular reality show, Big Brother Naija Lockdown.

I Boarded A Bus Going To Onitsha While One Man Sat Behind Me – Lady Narrates Experience

Often times women are found in a difficult situation where they really need to act for their self respect to be restored and maintained, a pretty lady Identified as Jacy Mmadu Amynwa has narrated her Experience in the hand of a man whom she boarded a bus with on her way to write an exam in Onitsha, in a post she made on social media.

According to the lady, she boarded a bus and a man who sat behind her was touching her inappropriately, a situation which she was very uncomfortable with and she warned him on several occasions.

The man attempted to try to touch another lady inappropriately while in the same bus, and the reaction was different and it resulted in a row in the vehicle with a few people taking sides with the man.
