Nigerian Disc Jockey and activist, Catherine Obianuju Udeh popularly known as DJ Switch has reacted to the report submitted by the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Lekki massacre which indicted the Nigerian Army and police.
The panel, in the 309-page report submitted to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Monday, referred to the Lekki Tollgate shooting of October 20, 2020 as a massacre.
The panel indicted soldiers and implicated Nigeria’s security agents in the killing and forced disappearances of harmless and unarmed youths protesting at Lekki Tollgate.
On October 20, 2020, DJ Switch live-streamed the shooting of unarmed EndSARS protesters by security forces which left scores injured and dozens dead.
Following her brave act on that day, Switch alleged that threats to her life was made by unknown persons so she had to go into hiding.
Speaking on the recent development, the singer cum producer pointed out how authorities desperately tried to hide the truth but it has eventually come out.
Taking to her Twitter account, she wrote;
”Shattered so many lives, tried to destroy mine. Only for what you desperately tried to hide to be made public… by you!
The truth needs no defense! #EndSARS”
