Okotie attacks TB Joshua even in death, calls him sorcerer, magician (Video)

The contempt and disdain Pastor Chris Okotie, the founder of Household of God Church, had for the late General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet TB Joshua, has continued even after the demise of Joshua.

This was made manifest in a video message posted on Monday on the YouTube channel of the Household Church, Apokalupsis, entitled “The truth about TB Joshua,” where Okotie described the late televangelist who died in June, as a magician and a sorcerer who “claimed he is the one that the Lord has appointed in this generation to bring reconciliation between God and man.”

Okotie who had never hidden his animosity for Joshua when he was alive and had been a long-standing critic of his late colleague, had once described him as the “vicar of the devil on earth”.

He also likened Joshua to Bar-Jesus, a false prophet in the scriptures who equated himself with Jesus.

In the 75-minute video which has drawn widespread criticism since it went viral, Okotie said the late cleric had equated himself with Jesus Christ by his name, conduct, and spiritual pattern.

“Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. What is the truth about TB Joshua? Who was he? Was he a product of Christianity? Or a practitioner of shamanism? Was he a servant of the Lord Jesus? Or some itinerant religious quack? Was he a true prophet, who was misunderstood? Or a hypocrite masquerading under the habiliment of the Faith?” he begins.

Okotie then went on to describe Joshua as a fake man of God who equated himself with Jesus Christ.

Joshua claimed he is the one that the Lord has appointed in this generation to bring reconciliation between God and man,” he said.

“And he is not the first to propose such a ludicrous concept. Because even Jesu Oyingbo did the same thing, he calls himself Emmanuel. And we have the same thing with the entity in Calabar who used to call himself I Am.

So Joshua believes he is aloof from Jesus, that’s why he took the name Joshua because that’s the name that Jesus bore when he was right here on earth.

The full name is Jehoshua, which means Jehovah is salvation. The name Joshua and the name Jesus are exactly the same.”

Continuing, the former presidential aspirant added:

“He is a magician, a sorcerer, and calls himself a prophet. Notice he doesn’t call himself an apostle, he doesn’t call himself a teacher, he doesn’t call himself a pastor because if he calls himself by any other name outside of prophet, he does not fulfill the pattern.

“So, he must stick with that appellation. He must call himself prophet so, so and so… So, he is a magician who claims to be a prophet but he is a false prophet.:

Quoting from the Bible in John 8:32, Okotie said:

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Joshua took on the name because he believed he was another messiah.

“He believes that God sent him to our world to bring reconciliation between God and mankind, exactly the same way the Lord Jesus was sent, and that is why he took that name Joshua,” he said.

This is not the first time Okotie had come out to share his thoughts on the late Joshua.

Three days after the death of Joshua, Okotie had shared a cryptic post wherein he referenced the deceased as a certain ”wizard of Endor” who assumed the title of ”Emmanuel.”

Although he did not mention any name or person in particular in his message, it was easy to infer who he referred to with the use of ‘Emmanuel’ which is the slogan of the church as well as the name of the television arm of the Synagogue Church.

Sudan sentences six paramilitary officers to death over killing of protesters

A Sudanese court on Thursday pronounced the death sentence on six officers in the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces for the 2019 killing of six students who were protesting economic hardship as civilians negotiated power-sharing with the military.

The prosecution of personnel from the RSF – which was ordered by the deputy head of Sudan’s transitional governing body – over these killings and others alleged was seen as a test of the government’s commitment to democratisation after decades of autocratic Islamist rule.

According to a statement issued by the RSF after the court’s ruling, the defendants broke RSF law and behaved individually, adding “their actions have no relation to the forces they were part of.”

It was not immediately known whether the six would appeal against the verdict.

The teenage victims were part of a student protest following the June 3, 2019 killing of dozens of protesters demanding a faster transition to civilian, democratic government after an uprising that toppled veteran President Omar al-Bashir, according to a report by Reuters.

Members of the RSF, which emerged out of the Janjaweed militias loyal to Bashir that was accused of atrocities during the Darfur conflict in the early 2000s, were widely blamed for the post-uprising bloodshed.

In May, another RSF member was convicted and sentenced to death for running over a protester soon after the June attack.

The Elobeid court acquitted two other RSF officers, ruling that they had not carried weapons and tried to prevent the fatal shootings of protesters.

One of the nine RSF personnel originally accused in the case was found guilty but referred to a minors court for sentencing as he was underage at the time of the crime, the court said.

At the time of the mid-2019 unrest, military commanders accused protesters of having been infiltrated by militants and that they had attacked markets and banks.

Protest leaders said the demonstrators were peaceful and accused soldiers of shooting “indiscriminately.”

Chris Okotie shares cryptic post of celebration after TB Joshua’s death

Founder of the Household of God Church International Ministries, Rev Chris Okotie has stirred controversy with his post celebrating and rejoicing over a certain wizard at Endor, who assumed the name “Emmanuel but has now been consumed by divine indignation.”

Emmanuel is fondly used for the late Nigerian prophet, TB Joshua, who died on June 6 at 57.

In his post, which many Nigerians believe is in reference to the late Prophet, Okotie stated that Jesus our Mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows.

Okotie’s post reads; “Hebrews 1:13… Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool (Hupopodion/Greek)

“The wizard at Endor who assumed the title Emmanuel, has been consumed by divine indignation. And now his disciples bewail his ignominious exit.

“No marvel, one third of God’s angels followed the disgraced anointed cherub Lucifer!!

“Jehovah-Jesus our mighty gladiator has broken the head of the dragon with his mighty blows. He has descended from the mountain of spices with the fiery sword of his indignation. Glorious in his apparel and traveling in the greatness of his strength, he goes conquering and to conquer the adversaries of his church.”

The death of Temitope Babatunde Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, (SCOAN) was announced on Sunday, just days before his 58th birthday on June 12.

ISIS ordered us to kill Boko Haram’s leader – ISWAP confirms Shekau’s death

The Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) has confirmed the death of former Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau.

ISWAP confirmed that Shekau blew himself up after refusing to surrender following the invasion of his hideout on May 19, 2021, Daily Post reports.

This was contained in a message from Abu Mus’ab Habeeb Bin Muhammad Bin Yusuf al-Barnawi, born Habib Yusuf, leader of the terrorists.

According to HumAngle, al-Barnawi, in an address on Friday, described Shekau as “the leader of disobedience and corruption.”

He said Shekau’s fighters rejoiced over his death, adding that the former terrorist leader, who took over after the death of Boko Haram founder, Mohammed Yusuf in 2009, was apprehended “in the most humiliating manner.”

Speaking in Hausa, al-Barnawi said: “This was someone who committed unimaginable terrorism. How many has he wasted? How many has he killed? How many has he terrorised? But Allah left him alone and prolonged his life. When it was time, Allah set out brave soldiers after receiving orders from Amirul Muminin [leader of the believers].”

ISWAP, which broke away from Shekau’s Boko Haram faction in 2016, disagreed with the late extremist leader over his excessive use of force, especially on Muslims in areas under his influence.

He stated that the interim leader of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) ordered them to take action on Shekau for deviating and killing “believers.”

ISWAP fighters then took their arms, travelled through the Sahara, went into Shekau’s enclave, and engaged in a gun battle with his followers.

“Shekau preferred to be humiliated in the afterlife than getting humiliated on earth. He killed himself instantly by detonating an explosive,” he said.

UK Police arrest man who stabbed London based Nigerian coach to death

The Metropolitan Police have arrested a 42-year-old suspect who allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old Nigerian football coach, Michael Olatunde Fadayomi, to death at Willesden, north London, on Thursday.

According to reports, the Nigerian man, simply known as Tunde, was stabbed to death after a fight broke out on the top floor of a bus.

Ripples Nigeria gathered that Tunde’s teenage son, who was with him and was heading to a football training, had some problems with someone on the bus, and Tunde’s intervention escalated the confrontation into the streets.

According to MyLondon, the suspect was being held at the police station, while the police said they were not searching for anyone else in connection with the murder.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness account stated that Tunde was protecting his teenage son after he was threatened on the bus, and died after he was repeatedly stabbed at the doorway of a chicken shop.

Also, a passenger on the bus who witnessed the tragedy said the suspect stabbed Tunde and then walked away “without a care in the world.”

The witness said: “He calmly walked away. It was like nothing happened. He just walked, and no one had bothered to go after him. This is a very dangerous man who needs to be taken off the streets before he strikes again.”

A witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said the argument started when the suspect accused Tunde’s son and his friend of preventing the bus from moving, whereas the vehicle was stationary because it was changing drivers.

The bus had stopped outside Willesden Garage and the man just kept shouting that he needs to see his mum and then he started accusing the boys of being the reason why the bus wasn’t moving.

“I was on my phone and was thinking ‘why is this grown man shouting at these boys?’ The boys were trying to calm him down but then he reached into his crotch and pulled out a blade. The boys ran off the bus and one said he was going to get his dad.

The dad asked the man why he had troubled his son. They started shouting at each other before the killer took out the knife again and said, ‘I want to go and see my mum,” the witness said.

Meanwhile, a mobile video footage showed the two men arguing on the top deck before the dad comes off the bus, followed by the suspect, while bystanders were heard screaming, while others tried to intervene.

However, the witness said he was disgusted by the actions of people who whipped out their phones after Tunde had been stabbed rather than try and help him.

He said: “I was the only one who called the police. We need to change how we use technology and use it sensibly, not stand by and watch a man dying. This man died protecting his son. As a father myself, I understand why he confronted his killer, and we would do the same.

“He did what any decent father did and he lost his life while the killer walked away without a care in the world. He needs to be found and quickly.”

25-yrs-old Japanese woman arrested for death of 77-yrs-old billionaire husband

A 25-year-old Japanese woman, Saki Sudo, has been arrested for allegedly killing her billionaire husband, Kosuke Nozaki, on the suspicion that she fed him poison over a period of time.

Sudo was arrested on Thursday for the death of Nozaki who used to describe himself as the ‘Japanese Don Juan,’ after a series of investigations and autopsy revealed he did not die a natural death, just months into their marriage.

Nozaki, who was the president of a liquor sales company and real estate business, died in 2018 at the age of 77 of acute poisoning.

His widow, who was 22 at that time, is suspected of killing Nozaki by making him take a large amount of a stimulant drug orally, as there were no needle marks on his body, a police report said.

The report added that Sudo had allegedly researched stimulants on the internet before variously administering it to Nozaki.

Before his death, Nozaki had written how he spent ¥3 billion ($A35 million) on wooing 4000 beautiful women.

Nozaki, who was popular for his autobiography ‘Don Juan of Kishu’ reportedly said:

“The reason I make money is to date attractive women.

“When I find a woman of my type, tall and voluptuous, I would tell her, ‘I want to go out with you and have sex with you; I’ll give you ¥400,000 ($A4726) if you agree.”

Before his sudden death, Nozaki left a will saying he wanted to donate ¥1.3 billion ($A15 million) to the Wakayama city where he lived.

But because half of his fortune goes to his widow under civil law, the city in Wakayama, had been in talks with Sudo about splitting the money.

Wike warns Nigerians to hold FG accountable ‘if Ortom is assassinated’

Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, has revealed that the federal government should be held culpable, in the event of the assassination of his Benue counterpart, Samuel Ortom.

Ripples Nigeria had reported on Saturday, March 20, that gunmen suspected to be herdsmen attacked Ortom’s convoy while on a visit to his farm.

According to Ortom, the armed men, numbering about 15, trailed his convoy to the river bank where he was on foot with his security details and opened fire on them.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued by his special assistant on media, Kelvin Ebiri, Wike said the federal government should be “prepared to bury Nigeria” if harm befalls Ortom.

Wike added that if the Benue governor is killed, the country could be plunged into another civil war.

If you kill Ortom, then be prepared to bury Nigeria,” he was quoted as saying.

“If anything happens to Governor Ortom, the Federal Government will be held responsible and they should be prepared that there will be no more Nigeria.”

Wike added that it is disturbing that the lives of incumbent governors are threatened.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also called on the police to investigate the attack on Ortom’s convoy and arrest the assailants.

LASTMA arrests seven suspects in connection with death, hospitalisation of officials

About seven suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official, Godwin Obasu, and the hospitalisation of his colleague, Hakeem Adeniyi, who was reportedly attacked by a commercial bus driver and his colleagues in the Bariga area of the state.

In a statement on Thursday, the Assistant Director, Public Affairs, LASTMA, Filade Olumide, said about seven suspects had been arrested and handed over to the police, while the bus driver and others were still at large.

He said the General Manager of the agency, Olajide Oduyoye, condemned the assault on the officials that led to the killing of Obasu, noting that Adeniyi who sustained serious injuries during the incident, was still in a coma at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

Ripples Nigeria gathered that the two LASTMA officials had apprehended a commercial bus for contravening the traffic law of the state, but the bus driver was said to have mobilised his colleagues, who attacked the officials with different weapons, including machetes.

The statement read: “Godwin Obasu and Hakeem Adeniyi were attacked with machetes and other weapons by the driver of a commercial bus with number plate, FKJ 452 YC, plying Bariga to Oshodi via the Ikorodu Road axis in cohort with some other drivers, after his vehicle was apprehended for contravening the traffic law of the state.

“The sad fact about the whole saga was that the two officers were in mufti and on their way home, having completed their morning shift and closed for the day, before the recalcitrant commercial bus drivers went berserk, seeking any LASTMA officer to attack for carrying out their statutory duties.

“Obazu was struck severally with machetes resulting in deep lacerations on his head and leading to his eventual death, while Hakeem Adeniyi, who was also attacked similarly, has been hospitalised and in a coma.

While noting that some senior officers, who were also in mufti and around the area were lucky to escape the mob attack, the general manager warned all cultists doubling as commercial bus drivers that any traffic violation or infraction shall be punished or penalised as enacted by the Lagos State House of Assembly.”

Four men who gang-raped married woman in front of her tied-up husband hanged in Iran

Four men who gang-raped a married woman in front of her husband whom they had tied up, were executed on Monday at the Mashhad Central Prison in Iran after a court had sentenced them to death.

Iran International TV reports that the men had gang-raped the woman who was a mountain climber in front of her husband after they tied his hands and feet together before attacking his wife in front of him.

The attack was said to have taken place while the woman and her husband were climbing a mountain in the Khorasan Razavi province in north-eastern Iran.

According to the Justice Organization for the area, the four rapists were later arrested by police following a report by the woman and her husband.

The rapists whose names were given as Ruhollah Javidi Rad, Mohammad Sayadi Baghansgani, Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad Watandoost, were identified by the city of Fariman’s police force and charged with the “kidnapping and rape of a woman and with threats of violence towards a man.”

The Criminal Court of Khorasan Razavi sent the case to the Supreme Court where the four men were sentenced to death by hanging.

While the men were sentenced in this case in Iran, rape victims are said to often face counter charges of adultery, indecency or immoral behaviour once they report a sexual assault to the police.

In the country’s legal system, consensual sex outside marriage is punishable by flogging, so a victim can be prosecuted if the authorities don’t believe her.

The threat of being charged with adultery, indecency and immoral behaviour in Iran for reporting sexual assault is said to often deter many women from reporting rape crimes against them.

Commenting on the number of assaults against women in Iran, a legal analyst at Iran International TV, Nargess Tavassolian said:

It is hard to say whether these types of crimes have increased in Iran but because of the widespread use of social media, these crimes are being more exposed.”

Iran is one of a handful of countries in the world to execute people found guilty of rape, and the Iranian regime executes more people per capita than any other country.

“They deserve to die” – 22-year-old student confesses to the brutal murder of his parents, brother, cousin and worker in Kenya

A son to a couple who were brutally murdered together with three others in Karura area, Kiambu county, Kenya, has confessed to the crime.

The 22-year-old university IT student identified as Lawrence Simon Warunge, was arrested on Friday, January 8, after he went missing following the gruesome murder of his parents, brother, his cousin and a mason at their Karura home in Kiambu County on Tuesday night.

Police said they arrested Lawrence as a prime suspect into the incident after a three-day manhunt.

After he was arrested, he later confessed to the incident and led police to a residence in Mai Mahiu area on Saturday where they recovered the murder weapon, a kitchen knife, clothes, shoes and a piece of paper.

He had thrown the exhibits to a pit latrine. Police dug the wall of the latrine and used ropes to recover the exhibits from the 20-feet deep pit.

He also took police to an open field in the same area where he said he burnt some of the evidence.

Lawrence claims he killed the five alone but police said they are open to a possibility there were other players.

The most chilling part is where Lawrence said he caught up with his father, Nicholas Njenga Warunge as he escaped from him after he broke one of his legs after jumping off a balcony.

“He says the father was hit by an electric cable as he ran away and jumped off the balcony and was indisposed further after he fractured a leg. This gave him time to catch up with him and he killed him like a snake,” said an officer who had heard the confession.

Lawrence’s girlfriend who lived in the house in Mai Mahiu is also being held for interrogation.

Lawrence said after he murdered the five using a kitchen knife at about 8 pm he jumped onto a motorcycle and rode up to the nearby Wangige shopping centre where he took a public service vehicle to Mai Mahiu while carrying the killer weapon and other recovered evidence.
The bodaboda rider is yet to be found for questioning.

In his chilling confession, he said on arrival at Mai Mahiu, he went to an open field in the area where he burnt some of them on Tuesday, January 5 at about 11 pm.

Detectives from the Homicide Unit visited the site and collected the debris for analysis. The officers and the suspect donned white surgery clothes as they visited the scenes where he disposed of the exhibits.

Lawrence told police that his parents were “satanic and killers” hence deserved to die.

Lawrence is a university student in the city and was initially thought to have gone to school.
His mobile phone signal was traced to Mai Mahiu, Naivasha. It was later traced to Thika and later to Kabete area on Friday.

Police said the suspect went to a relative’s home in Ngongoro area to seek refuge there before they were alerted Friday night. He was later arrested when he told police his parents were “satanic and cruel”.

Police had thought at least five people were involved in the murder of Nicholas Njoroge Warunge, his wife Annie, sons Christian and Maxwell and a construction worker James Kinyanjui.

Their badly mutilated bodies were found in their Kiambaa home on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It is believed a dispute over property was the motive of the murder.

The bodies were moved to the mortuary where a post-mortem is expected on Monday.
Nothing was stolen from the compound during the incident.

Warunge had arrived in Kenya from the USA where he worked as a nurse for Christmas holidays about 11 days before his murder.

His two elder daughters survived the cold blood murder because they had the previous day gone to school. Neighbours said they are in secondary school.

Annie who worked with Kiambu County Government as a psychologist nurse and two of their children were found murdered and the bodies lying in the compound.

Lawrence told police he made his way into the house through the rear door, where he found his mother Annie, and hacked her to death before slitting her throat.

The commotion in the kitchen drew the attention of the second victim, his 13-year-old cousin, Maxwell Njenga, who he confronted along the corridor and cut in the head and throat. Maxwell had just turned 13 on December 26, 2020.

His blood brother Christian Njenga was killed as well and his throat slit on his bed.

He claimed his father Warunge was in the master bedroom upstairs at the time of the attack. He rushed to the balcony on sensing danger and jumped down where he broke his leg but he caught up with him and stabbed him 34 times before slitting his throat at near the gate and left for the dead.

Also killed in the same style was the mason, James Kinyanjui who was in the home at the time of the attack. Lawrence claims he killed them all.

Kiambu police boss Ali Nuno said they will also revisit past unsolved murder incidents that happened in the family and are probably related to the latest murder. Last Tuesday’s incident was the fifth in the family according to Nuno.

He said the first victim was killed in 2016 when one Allan Warunge, a brother to Njoroge was killed.

He was shot for the first time and confined on a wheelchair before his assailants pursued him later.

“There was an incident which involved Alan Njire Waruinge in 2016 who was a victim after being shot twice after being confined on a wheelchair. And there was Kenneth Mungai Waruinge who was assassinated alongside with his niece thereafter,” said Nuno.

“Kinyanjui Kamau, a family member was also killed in unclear circumstances.”
