Award-winning singer, Davido, whose uncle, Ademola Adeleke, emerged victorious in the recently concluded Oyo State gubernatorial polls, has sympathized with his uncle’s close contender, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
Taking to his Instagram page to share a photo of the governor, the singer captioned: “Defeat is painful … sir it is over sorry.”
Another part of Davido’s caption promised to see the Oyetola in 2026, the year another gubernatorial polls will be held in the state.The singer’s expression follows Oyetola’s Friday’s request to the Election Petition Tribunal in Osogbo for the nullification of the election that saw Adeleke come out victorious.According to the governor, the election was fraught with certain irregularities.
He also said that Adeleke ought not to have been declared winner as he was not qualified to have contested the election in the first place, having submitted forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Israel made this known in a post on his Instagram story while sharing a photo of his woman holding up the stack of cash for the camera and smiling from cheek to cheek.
According to the singer’s personal logistics manager, Davido gave her the money for the purchase of airtime.
In the post caption, Israel DMW expressed thanks to his boss for the gift to his woman.

Nigerian singer, T.I Blaze is being dragged online after he took to Twitter to beg David ‘Davido’ Adeleke to feature him on a track.
The reason being that his plea comes just few weeks after releasing the street hit, ‘Sometimes’ (Remix) featuring Olamide.
The song was released first of January and has been trending massively. But amid the massive airplay, T.I Blaze decided to plead with Davido allow him hop on a song with him.

Davido’s former Head of Department at Babcock university, Olusegun Ojuola, Davido, revealed that the musician paid the fees of some indigent students in the school.
He made the revelation during an interview, while also sharing some of Davido’s fondest memories before he graduated in 2015.
Ojuola described the DMW boss as a “unique student” who was liked not just for his popularity but also for his personality.
His stay in school has also been a blessing to some indigent students whom the Lord has used David to pay their school fees,” he said.
The lecturer revealed that the ‘FEM’ crooner also had his own struggles in school.
Ojuola said; “Yeah. The first was the day he wore a ragged jeans to school and I chased him out of my office and told him to leave the faculty immediately.
“He was quite visibly shaken and since then he never wore that stuff to school. Another is that sometimes, when he had shows and he tried to play truancy and begged me to tell the dad that he was in school, I always refused and told him I would never lie. So he caught that message and I made him to make up for missed classes.”

According to the lecturer, when he noticed that the ‘Aye’ crooner did not attempt to interact or help other students since he was a brilliant student, he questioned him about it.
He said Davido told him he does it to avoid being distracted in the exam hall.
I will always remember that during exams David liked to keep a distance from other students. I asked why; he said he didn’t want to be distracted. He is quite a brilliant student,” he said.
Ojuola also revealed that Davido was only able to graduate as a part-time student in such a short period of time because of the credits he carried from Oakwood University in Business Administration in 2010 and extra summer semesters.

Ace singer-songwriter and music executive, David Adeleke aka Davido, has revealed he clashed with his father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke when he left school for music.
The multiple award-winning musician made the disclosure during an interview with Earn Your Leisure.
Davido recounted how his dad went to the extent of shutting down his shows, and even sent the police after him after discovering he had left school to focus on music.
In his words; “I wasn’t in school. I was facing music full time and over the years, he found out that I wasn’t in school and there was a whole lot of drama. I left school. I went back to the city and then my dad was chasing me with the police. Yes, they (the police) were coming after me to go back to school. Any show he (my dad) saw me on, on a flier or whatever, he was shutting the show down”.
Davido further revealed that his 2012 hit song, Dami Duro, was the turning point in his relationship with his dad.
According to the singer, when his dad realized how big his brand had become, they made a deal that allowed him to attend shows when he wasn’t in classes.
“Then I dropped this song, Dami Duro and the song became so big that even the president was singing it. Even people my dad could not get to, was singing it. After two-three years, I got a degree in business management and music,” he said.
Nigerian Grammy-winner, Burna Boy has reacted after ex-DMW signee, Yonda revealed that the beef between between him and Davido was as a result of his song.
Speaking in an interview on Ameyaw TV, Yonda said he wrote a song for the African Giant, but he did not do anything with it, so OBO came and used the lyrics in a song which eventually became a hit.
He further revealed that the day Davido released the said song, Burna Boy shaded him about being great because he was born into wealth and not necessarily because he is good at his craft.
Burna has now reacted to the claim, insinuating that Yonda spoke under the influence of hard drugs.
He took to the the comment section of an Instagram blog that posted Yonda’s interview and wrote; ”Must be crack”
The singer then replied; ”Yo @burnaboygram must be on crack”
