The funeral service of the mother of the House on the Rock’s founding Pastor, Paul Adefarasin, Hilda, has begun at the Guiding Light Assembly, Parkview Estate in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Friday.
Adefarasin and his wife, Ifeanyi shared pictures from the burial via their Instagram account.
Adefarasin’s mother died at the age of 98 at her home on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
The funeral of actress Ada Ameh is currently holding in her hometown Ogobia, Otukpo local government of Benue state.
The actress died on July 17 in Warri, Delta state.
Her colleagues as well as some government functionaries led by the Benue state deputy governor are attending the funeral.
A man was buried alive after passing out at a ceremony and only became aware of his condition when he woke up to pee. Víctor Hugo Mica Álvarez, 30, attended a ceremony in Bolivia dedicated to the Toba people of South America.
He was invited by a friend to have a few beers at the ceremony and he says he ended up being given as a sacrifice to Pachamamma, or Mother Earth.
In the middle of the night, he woke to pee and realised he was in a coffin, which he then broke and dug through sand to get out. He told local media: “We’ve gone dancing, I’m the guide, and I don’t remember anymore.
The only thing I remember is that I thought I was in my bed and I got up to go pee, and I couldn’t move anymore. “And when I pushed the coffin I barely broke the glass and, through the glass, dirt began to enter and so I managed to get out. I have been buried.”
He broke out of the coffin and asked a nearby person for help, and he was brought to a police station.
Other reports state that he was found wandering around El Alto, the second-largest city in Bolivia. He himself said that the ceremony was in Achacachi, a town on the shore of Lake Titicaca, nearly 80km north of El Alto. Álex Magne, who found him wandering, said that Victor Hugo was covered with cement on his face and head, meaning that those who attempted to sacrifice him may have tried to bury him under cement.
He said: “I have broken the glass, my whole hand has been hurt, I have barely gone out, but I went to the police and they told me that I am drunk. ‘You’re going to come healthy’, they told me.”
ASP Gideon Sam Pakachi was shot dead by suspected terrorists who ambushed the convoy of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 12 Bauchi, Audu Madaki.
Late ASP Pakachi, 49, was laid to rest on Sunday, August 7th in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The convoy which was on its way out of Bauchi was attacked by the terrorists in the Barde Zangidi area which is a forest stretch linking Bauchi and Plateau States at about 2.30 pm on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
The gunmen killed Pakachi, who is the orderly of the AIG during the attack while several others reportedly sustained gunshot wounds.
AIG Madaki was on his way to Abuja to attend the security meeting of zonal AIGs and Command Commissioners of Police summoned by IGP Usman Alkali to deliberate on the current security challenges plaguing the nation.
The AIG sustained two bullet wounds on his leg during the attack. He is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, passed out on Saturday at her late mum, Mrs Gloria Sunday Obasa’s burial ceremony.
An earlier video showed the traumatized actress, calling out to her mum, asking her to come back.
She had captioned the video: “This weekend we lay you to eternal Rest mummy…Hard to digest but it’s a reality I have to learn to live with for the rest of my life, Can you see how useless and lazy I have been since you left.
I lived for you mummy but you decided to end it this way…Who am I to complain? Rather than be strong even though it’s the hardest thing for me right now”
In a video currently circulating online, family and friends could be seen trying to wake her up after she slumped at the ongoing burial in Ojodu Berger, Lagos.

Few days ago, the sad death of popular Nigerian big boy, Babatunde Oyerinde Abiodun popularly known as Kashy Godson was confirmed dead and his fans and family has been mourning him since then.
According to reports, Kashy Godson who is the CEO of “Cash Nation” music recording label had a fight with his singer popularly known as Barry Jhay before his death. Fingers started pointing at Barry Jhay accusing him of killing his boss.
However, according to the 2 eye witnesses, Kashy Godson commited suicide by jumping from his home balcony after his fight with his signee, Barry Jhay. Although investigation has started over the suspicious death of Kashy Godson and Barry Jhay has also been arrested for questioning according to reports.
Kashy Godson was born on the 12th of March 1994, he is supposed to be celebrating his 27th birthday today, however his birthday turned to his burial after he allegedly commited suicide.
Friends and family has taken to their instagram page to share some photos and videos from the ongoing burial of Kashy Godson today and it’s tears all over. The young Nigerian big boy was buried in a burial ground in Ghana.

Recall that the Nigerians Communications Commission (NCC) staff, his wife and children including her niece Zainab Mustapha died in a gruesome accident on Nasarawa-Abuja expressway on Saturday, January 9.
