I’m the number 1 artiste in Nigeria whose music bridges the gap between rich and poor – Olamide

Popular Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide has taken pride in his musical status and and extent of his artistic influence.

Olamide who dropped a new album recently, noted that his music was like a bridge between people from different cadres of society.

He stated this during a chat on told Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio.

According to him; “I feel like I’m one of, if not the number one person in Nigeria or Africa whose music can bridge the gap between the old and the young, and the rich and the poor.”

The Wo hitmaker also said that he went through hell trying to make it as a young artiste and that’s why he is passionate about supporting up-and-coming entertainers.

I took it as a personal thing, like, ‘Bro, I went through hell before I got here. Now, I’m here’. If I have any opportunity to bring up anyone that I know, then I would do anything to make sure that person makes it,” he said.

Speaking on the reception that his latest album, UY Scuti has enjoyed, Olamide said; “It has been amazing. It’s like I just started my career all over again and trust me, if I knew that it would have been this big, I would have been doing this for a very long time.

”I feel like if there was no older version of Olamide, who had been through the street struggle, there wouldn’t be this version of Olamide that does ‘chilled’ music. But, in a way, it still appeals to street people.”

An artiste who once left me standing outside his gate now wants to collabo – Blaqbonez

Rap rave of the moment, Blaqbonez has revealed that a musician who did not give him a listening ear during his upcoming days, now wants to work with him.

The artiste who recently released his debut album, Sex Over Love, has been making airwaves and getting massive positive reviews from fans as well as entertainers.

Interestingly, two of Nigeria’s greatest musicians, Wizkid and Burna Boy had promoted his album, hereby giving him a wider reach – a gesture both heavyweights hardly ever do for other singers.

Blaqbonez took to his Twitter account to narrate how he was left standing outside the gate by the musician who is asking him for a collaboration.

He, however, did not mention the artiste’s name, but the ”Haba” crooner who believes that one good turn deserves another, mocked him in the social media post.

”One artist that left me outside his gate one time dey find collab now, go collaborate with your gateman. Ode

Goodluck to him, make i face my own business, please stream My album”, Blaqbonez tweeted.
