Police nab woman for child trafficking, rescue three kids in Imo

The Imo police command says it arrested a woman for child trafficking in Owerri.

In a statement on Monday, the command spokesman, Henry Okoye, added that three children were rescued.

“Operatives of the Imo state police command’s Quick Intervention Unit have arrested a 36-year-old female suspected of child trafficking and successfully rescued three stolen children (names withheld),” said Mr Okoye.

“The arrest followed thorough investigations and intelligence-led operations carried out on 20th November 2024 in Amajeke, Owerri. The children have since been safely reunited with their parents.

“The children have since been safely reunited with their parents,” the statement said.
