Kebbi APC assures new members of seamless registration
Jigawa State House of Assembly has sanctioned one of its members, Musa Dutse, representing Dutse Constituency, for berating Governor Mohammed Abubakar and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the Speaker, Idris Jahun, the lawmaker has been relieved of his position as Chairman, House Committee on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
In an interview with Freedom Radio, Dutse, the sanctioned legislator had said: “It is a pity that we, in Jigawa, lack a charismatic governor with the capacity and public experience to lead as far as good governance is concerned.
“We are not comfortable with his style of leadership, as things are not going in the right perspectives. His poor posture has made things to go haphazardly.”
Dutse also stated the APC and its leaders had failed woefully, as its mode of operation was far below expectation.
MEANWHILE, the APC in Kebbi State has said that necessary arrangements have been concluded for seamless registration of new members and revalidation of the existing members of the party.
While briefing newsmen at the Press Centre, Government House, Birnin Kebbi, yesterday, the Caretaker Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sani Dododo, said the registration and revalidation would soon commence nationwide for three categories of membership.
He said that existing members would have their registration revalidated and a new membership card issued to them.
“Any person, who has attained 18 years and above, interested in joining the APC would be registered and issued with membership card.
Similarly, members of other political parties who might wish to defect to the APC would be duly accepted and registered,” he added.
The PRO announced that committees had already been set up at polling units, wards, council and state levels for the exercise.
Dododo commended all APC supporters in the state for their loyalty and unflinching support to the party.
He appealed to them to troop out for the revalidation of their membership of the party and invited new members to join the APC.
