IgboMustGo is an incitement of terrorism, genocide – Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer, Ejimakor

Aloy Ejimakor, the lead counsel for Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Saturday said the IgboMustGo agitation is a direct incitement of terrorism and genocide.

Ejimakor, however, noted that self-determination is not.

Posting on X, Ejimakor charged the Nigerian government to stop what he termed the unfair trial of Kanu.

He also called for the release of Kanu and all prisoners of conscience.

According to Ejimakor: “FACT: #IgboMustGo is a direct & clear incitement of terrorism & genocide. #SelfDetermination is not.

“Halt the #UnfairTrial and #FreeMNK & all prisoners of conscience. It’s simply the right thing to do & it’s long overdue. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.”

An X user had announced plans to force Igbos to exit Lagos State under the banner IgboMustGo.

The user claimed that a protest would be staged from August 20 to 30 to this effect.

But Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State had condemned the planned protest while calling for unity.
