An accident involving a fuel tanker has resulted in a massive fire outbreak in Lagos State.
The tanker, loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), exploded at Toyota Bus Stop along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said the tanker exploded after it disconnected from its turntable head due to reckless driving.
“The impact of the collision with the ground resulted in the spark and subsequent explosion,” the agency said.
