The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, Henry Okoye, has confirmed that four individuals lost their lives in a tragic accident along the Owerri-Onitsha Express Road on Friday.
Okoye made this known in a post he shared on his X handle on Friday.
He wrote, “This avoidable accident occurred today, April 19, 2024, along Owerri-Onitsha Expressway as a result of the truck driver’s recklessness.
“Four persons have been confirmed dead while other injured victims are still responding to treatment.
“Always exercise caution when plying the highway. Observe the speed limit and avoid overloading. Drive safe like the popular saying ‘drive you own and another driver’s own’
“I wish the injured victims quick recovery and commiserate with the families of the deceased victims.”
