Microsoft founder Bill Gates has admitted that divorce from his wife, Melinda, was one of his most regretted mistakes.
In an interview with The Times published on Saturday, the tech billionaire admitted separation from his wife was a miserable experience.
“I’m more cheerful now,” Mr Gates said, but described his failed marriage as “the mistake I most regret.”
Mr Gate, 69, said that although he made other mistakes, his divorce from Melinda after 27 years of marriage was miserable for both of them.
“There are others, but none that matter,” Mr Gates said. “The divorce thing was miserable for me and Melinda for at least two years.”
Mr Gate and Ms Melinda announced their divorce in 2021, ending their 27 years of marriage.
