Harry and Meghan Markle warned to secure their mansion after a mountain lion was seen prowling around

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are being urged to secure their mansion in Montecito, California, against attack. A mountain lion was caught on camera prowling near their home in California.

The big cat was spotted just five miles away from where the couple live with their son Archie, three, and one-year-old daughter Lilibet.

The shocking video of the lion obtained by The Sun was filmed by a security camera late on July 23. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have a chicken coop at their property which could make it a target. Sharon Byrne, executive director of the Montecito Association, said:

“We don’t know if the mountain lion is male or female. “That part of Montecito is a very rural, very mountainous area, the kind of habitat for mountain lions.

“There’s a drought on here in California so he or she was probably looking for water and whatever food could be scavenged, so that’s why they headed to where people live. “So far, all we have is this one sighting.

“But the fact we have security footage shows though that residents are taking this seriously as it was shot by a camera which is what we’ve been urging residents to install.

“We want all locals to secure their homes and secure their chicken coops and whatever other animals they may have.

“Chickens can be a fast, easy source of food for hunting animals so they have to be safe and secure.

“We also urge residents to secure their garbage so animals can go rummaging around for scraps, to have night lighting, alarms, cameras and so on.

“Mountain lions are solitary creatures and ultimately, they don’t want to be around people so we’re hoping this one moves on by itself.”

The time is coming’ – Donald Trump drops hint of potential 2024 presidential run

Donald Trump has dropped a major hint about a potential 2024 presidential bid while blasting President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. The former president told fellow Republicans ‘the time is coming’ for him to make a formal announcement about his next bid for the White House.

Trump said he believes ‘people are going to be very happy’ with his decision while noting that America has ‘lost everything’ under Biden’s leadership

The Republican also confirmed during his address at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas last week, that he will be making his plans to run for office public in the near future. ‘It’s certainly not a very long period, the time is coming,’ Trump said Saturday when Fox News asked when Republicans could expect a formal announcement. ‘I think people are going to be very happy, our country has never been in a position like this, we’ve lost everything.’

He argued the nation was facing both domestic and foreign policy crises, stating America lost its ‘prestige’ when Biden withdrew US troops from Afghanistan last year.

He also claimed the US is a ‘nation that allowed Russia to devastate a country, Ukraine, killing hundreds of thousands of people, and it will only get worse.

Trump complained that Biden turned ‘the safest border in US history by far’ into ‘the worst border ever in history.’ ‘Just last month, an illegal alien here in Texas was indicted for the cold blooded murders of four elderly women throughout the state.

And he’s been linked to the deaths of at least 24 people,’ he said. ‘What we do in the next few months and the next few years will determine whether American civilization will collapse and fail or whether it will thrive, frankly like never before.’

Trump also commented on the 2020 election, which he continues to maintain was ‘rigged and stolen.’ ‘The election was rigged and stolen, and now our country is being systematically destroyed.

And everybody knows it. I ran twice and won twice,’ he declared. ‘America is on the edge of an abyss. And our movement is the only force on Earth that can save it.

We have to seize this opportunity to deal with the radical left socialists and fascists.’ His remarks came shortly after the CPAC unveiled a poll showing the former president as an ‘overwhelming favorite’ for the 2024 Republican nomination.

Trump captured nearly 70 percent of the ballots cast at the conference. DeSantis was a distant second at 23.7 percent.

Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice,” the source adds. “But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”

As for Kim, she continues to raise four kids, North, Psalm, Chicago and Saint, with her ex Kanye West. “The divorce is moving ahead with Kanye,” another insider shares with E! Brittney Griner expected to be swapped with ‘Merchant of Death’ arms dealer within weeks after her 9-year sentence for smuggling cannabis vape

Brittney Griner is expected to be swapped by America for the ‘Merchant of Death’ arms dealer within weeks as President Joe Biden scrambles to get her back to US soil to undo her nine-year prison sentence for smuggling cannabis into the country Russia.Griner was on Thursday, August 4, sentenced to nine years in prison for smuggling a weed pen into Moscow in February.

The 31-year-old WNBA star claimed in court it was an ‘honest mistake’ and that she didn’t mean to bring the drugs in.It has been reported that the White House plans to negotiate a swap of Griner and Paul Whelan, another US citizen being held in Russian prison, in exchange for Viktor Bout, an arms dealer who was arrested in 2008 in Thailand at the request of the US authorities.

The Russians refused to agree on a deal before Griner’s sentence, citing the need for judicial process.Due to public pressure from Griner’s fans and several Hollywood stars, President Biden is rushing to have her released.

A source close to the ongoing negotiations told DailyMail.com that a deal to swap Griner with Bout is now more likely than ever, and could be completed within a month if there are no delays to the process.

‘The US positioned has weakened now. They showed their hand and now their bargaining position has weakened,’ the source said.

Griner’s attorneys have ten days to file an appeal. After that, the matter would only take a few more weeks, they said. It is now uncertain that the deal would include Paul Whelan, an American who has been locked up on espionage charges since 2018.

The US had been pushing for a deal that would include both Griner and Whelan. Now that she has been sentenced in the Russian court of law, their leverage is weaker.’The Russians might think Whelan is too much now… after today, his place in the deal is not so certain,’ the source said.

Bout now has less time on his sentence now than Griner does.Bout was sentenced to 25 years in prison in 2012 for using multiple air transport companies to smuggle weapons out of eastern Europe to Africa and the Middle East.

He had already served four years and has since completed another ten. Bout technically has 11 years left on his sentence, and must serve only 85 percent of the total term under federal prison guidelines which makes him eligible for release in around five or six.

Nigerian man and Vietnamese woman murdered, buried in shallow grave in Thailand

Police forensics investigators have identified bodies of two persons murdered and buried in a shallow grave in northeastern Thailand as a Nigerian man and a Vietnamese woman.

A wild mushroom harvester discovered their bodies in a forest at Chok Chai district in Nakhon Ratchasima on the evening of July 28, 2022. The man noticed a fresh pile of earth covered with branches about 500 metres off Highway 224.

The village head and other residents went to check it out. They dug into the soil and quicky stopped when they uncovered part of a human body. Police were called to the scene and rescue workers dug deeper, uncovering the bodies of a man and a woman buried less than one metre down.

The bodies were naked. Village headman Thepbancha Saikrathok said the woman’s body was above the man’s body in the grave, and each was mostly covered with a layer of cement.

It was initially estimated they had been dead at least three days. Local people said they did not recognise them, and there have been no reports of people missing in the general area.

Police said it was likely they were murdered elsewhere and their bodies brought to the forest and hidden. The two bodies were taken to Chok Chai Hospital for full post-mortem examination to support investigation and identification.

On Thursday, August 4, Nakhon Ratchasima police said the serial number of the Vietnamese woman’s silicone breast implants and the Nigerian man’s fingerprint assisted in identifying the victims. The police reported that the implant was sent to Vietnam.

They later coordinated with the Vietnamese embassy in Bangkok to help examine the woman’s fingerprints. There was a match between the results and that of Nguyen Thi Van, a 33-year-old Vietnamese woman.

Police also checked the man’s fingerprints with Immigration police, and the results showed that the body belonged to 38-year-old Anabon Chika Hen from Nigeria.

A forensic examination revealed that the Vietnamese woman had distinctive tattoos on her back, wrist, legs, and arms, including one with a diamond-studded crown.

Officers recovered some cartridges and bullets within two metres of the grave where the bodies were discovered. With this information, police are investigating to determine what led to the murder of the two people.

Lagos policemen, sheriffs invade house, destroy N500m property

Lagos-based lawyer, Amanda Asagba, has decried the invasion of her home on Nduka Osadebey Street, Ajao Estate, Lagos State, by armed security agents, including sheriffs and policemen.

It was gathered that the men claimed to be acting on an order of the High Court of Lagos, Ikeja.

Asagba, who spoke to our correspondent on Thursday, said the officials forcefully ejected her family and destroyed assets worth over N500m.

The lawyer, who is the Principal Partner of Amanda and D. Asagba Chambers, claimed to have been living in the house for the past 25 years, adding that all her property titles were uncontested.

She said, “On Thursday, July 28, around 8.45am, I heard someone shouting from my room upstairs. I came downstairs and saw some men and I asked them how they came into my house; they told me that they had been knocking but no one answered.“One of the men told me that they were from the state high court and they had a judgment against me. It left me confused because I didn’t have any matter against anyone; I told them this, but they shunned me.

“I even told them that maybe they were in the wrong place but they refused. I later asked for their court warrant. When they showed it to me, I saw that my name was not there and I called their attention to it, but they said that my name did not have to be there and that I was a trespasser.

In the midst of all the argument, my daughters came out. They pushed all of us out and started taking out all our things. They threw out everything in the house except some things they couldn’t take out.

“They didn’t even allow me to make a phone call. We did not even know if they were armed robbers or something. Some of the men wore sheriff uniform; some were in mufti and others were heavily armed police officers who also had tear gas canisters. They were over 100 and the ones who entered the house were about 40.

“They only let me take a picture of the court warrant of possession after they had ransacked my residence and thrown everything out. Even the name on the warrant happened to be my neighbour, who was next door and whose property was seized two years ago.
